So... while there isn't much new in July, there are lots of Summer Movies & Mysteries popping up in August! I need to dive into each story still and get a take of what looks really interesting, but after a quick glance, I think I'm most eager to see "The 27-Hour Day," "Love in the Afternoon" and the return of "Murder, She Baked" with their new title - "Sweet Revenge: A Hannah Swensen Mystery!"

Are you excited we're getting this extra treat of Summer Nights? Please share your thoughts in comments below.

  1. What movies are you looking forward seeing out of the ones above?

  2. Certainly a good number of new faces to look out for.

Don't know what to expect from Love For Real - can't make out who the main stars are or maybe it's even an ensemble?

I knew there were new movies from Autumn Reeser/ Andrew Walker and Jen Lilley/ Ryan Paevey in the pipeline but I waasn't expecting them so soon and am delighted they are on Hallmark, also always glad to see Wes Brown again.

Just my opinion but I hope the marriage of Olivia and Mick will see the end of The Wedding March series - I've found most of them boring - sorry!

The new Mystery movies all look pretty solid.

Overall this is looking like a good bunch of movies.

I'm disappointed there is no news from Uptv - I think we'd have heard by now if they were going to air any new RomComs in July.

It's certainly going to be a sparse month all round. - Florence

  3. So I guess we wont be seeing this year:

Love is Trending --which many people in it said was for hallmark
    Time Capsule Romance
    Tycoons Kiss

with fall starting sept 11, there is one week left for movies not christmas that have titles that are not fall. I wish Up would pick some of these up.

I think Andrew and Autumn will be good together. Love in the Afternoon I had wondered if it would be a soap opera movie. it looks good, love Jen and Ryan.

Interesting cast in Sweet Pecan Summer, not even trying to be mean, but just wonder if this was always the cast for this movie, or if recent things in the news have this cast.

Love the Mystery channel movies. hope there will be more Aurora after this. Hoping they have a lot more planned for sept and October and PLEASE PLEASE CAN WE HAVE OUR POSTABLE MOVIE :)

    1. Sabrina - looks like Love Is Trending and Time Capsule Romance haven't comleted filming yet.

Tycoon's Kiss was renamed Colors Of Love and went straight to cinema - overall the rating at IMDB isn't very good but I have seen it, it's family friendly and I personally enjoyed it.

Actually, I don't think the ratings at IMDB are giving an accurate picture now.

For example if a film includes a same sex couple many people are just giving it a 1 or a 10 depending on their preference on this.

There are some actresses such as Jessica Lowndes and Aimee Teegarden who seem to have attracted a number of haters and follow them about giving bad reviews - hence part of the low rating for Colors Of Love.

Those who watch Hallmark and similar RomComs like that genre and those on Net would have similar views - if a film is on TV or Cinema then the ratings are going to be a lot lower.

when you see the same reviewers continually slating Hallmark movies I get quite annoyed - I appreciate other's views but you more or less know what to expect from their movies and once you've seen a few you have to ask, if these people don't like anything about them why do they keep watching them? - Florence

  8. Looking forward to these movies. Excited for the Wedding March 6. I love these movies and was hoping they would do at least one more to show Mick and Olivia's wedding. Also hope they bring #5 & 6 out on DVD. I have all the rest and would like to have the rest. So happy to see Autumn and Wes back and of course Jen and Ryan.

Thanks for this news on the summer movies Net. I knew about the mysteries, which I am excited about, but did not know about these new movies! Good to see Wes Brown listed! Do you know if Martha's Vineyard is filming a new episode? Seems I read somewhere that they were.

    1. Joyce, It seems like I've heard something somewhere about "Martha's Vineyard," too, but I can't locate anything official. I sure hope we see more of them - love Jesse in that role! Even my aunt said he was quite handsome! :)

    2. Joyce, I just recalled there is a 5th movie in the works... American Dreamer: A Martha’s Vineyard Mystery. Supposedly, it's going to premiere this year, but we'll see.

Yes he is!!! I think he makes a great detective! He plays that role very well! And he and "Zee" have great chemistry! I'm hoping for many more in this series too!

  11. Wow! I had no idea there was going to be another Hannah Swensen movie. I'd given up on "Murder, She Baked" ever continuing, so I'm shocked and delighted! I hope we'll get a wedding!

I'm also looking forward to seeing Mick and Olivia finally get married in Wedding March 6, and as others have said, I'm happy to see Wes Brown's name. He's my second favorite Hallmark male lead. (He was my favorite until Tyler Hynes came along!) Plus, the "falling back in love with an old boyfriend/girlfriend" storyline is my favorite of Hallmark's storylines, so I expect I'll really enjoy "Sweet Pecan Summer."

    1. Amy Lama, How wonderful to hear from you! I know just what you mean about MSB - I too thought it was sadly a done deal. I'm so happy (like you!) they are bringing it back for another movie. I'm hoping this change of title means they are planning to do more than one.

Also, glad to know you are liking some of the other choices coming for the second round of Summer Nights. By the way, Wes Brown is a favorite of mine, too. I would love to hear him sing again in a movie, like he did in the Graceland films. He has such a wonderful voice. And with a title like "Sweet Pecan Summer" it just has to be cute, right?

Have a wonderful 4th of July weekend!!!

  13. I wonder if Wedding March 6 has double Weddings or separate wedding for their own weddings of their dreams

I wonder about Grace & Eric and Julie & Wyatt are in Wedding March 6

  14. Like most agricultural activities, pecan farming is a year-round effort requiring hard work to grow a high quality pecan. Compared to growing crops such as corn or hay, pecan farming requires uniquely different equipment and timing during the year. ... All are “soft shell”, easy to shell pecans

  15. How do I start a pecan farm?

What You Need to Start a Pecan Farm

    1. Hello! You're welcome! Now, I haven't heard any word, yet, but hopefully "Kite Festival of Love" (or "High Flying Romance") will air somewhere, sometime. I've heard it was made for Hallmark, but nothing official, to my knowledge, has been announced.

    2. I really don't know what is going on in the market at the minute, there seem to be quite a number of films out there - many with familiar names to us - which don't seem to be being picked up.

Many of these are listed at Reel One Entertainment and I am hopeful that maybe some of them might be shown on UPtv in September and October.

There are a couple of Christie Will Wolf directed films apparently completed:

In Action starring Cindy Busby and Christopher Russell

Love Is Trending starring Jen Lilley and Christopher Russell.

I really do not understand what is going on with Kite Festival Of Love but this has been available on YouTube (yes, the full Movie!) for a couple of months.

If it's of any help to you this is the link:
