Friday, April 9, 2021:

Storyline: When struggling pastry chef Kylie Watson (Lacey Chabert) learns she’s made it to the finals of the American Gingerbread Competition, she thinks her competitive spirit has finally paid off and hopes the publicity will help her jumpstart her new café. There’s just one problem — the oven she’s supposed to use breaks down right before the contest. Determined to enter, she reaches out to Nick Mazannti (Lea Coco), her old boyfriend from culinary school who gave up his dream of being a pastry chef to take over his family’s pizzeria. Nick allows her to use his industrial pizza oven at night to craft her ambitious gingerbread confections. As the two reminisce about the dreams of their youth, their romance is rekindled. But just as Kylie is on the cusp of taking the grand prize — and embracing true love — things get complicated when her ex-boyfriend takes drastic steps to win her back. Kylie realizes she must embrace the Christmas Spirit or risk losing both the contest and her new love.

Both of the Lacey Chabert Christmas movies airing this week are family friendly and delightful!

Time for Us to Come Home for Christmas has a little bit of mystery to it, which is rather intriguing. Why were all of these guests anonymously invited to this inn at Christmastime? It's fascinating to watch as Sarah (Lacey Chabert) and Ben (Stephen Huszar) sort out and unravel all of the clues!

The Sweetest Christmas is a feel-good, lighthearted Christmas rom-com. The title says it all. It's a very sweet, simple holiday movie that centers around Lacey's character, Kylie Watson, entering a gingerbread contest and reuniting with her old boyfriend.

Please share your thoughts on these Christmas movies below...

    3. Chris, Christmas in Rome is a good movie. I like Sam Page with Lacey and their romance is sweet and gradual throughout the story. It's not my top favorite of all of her Christmas movies, but I still enjoy it whenever it is on.

  2. I LOVE Family for Christmas and the Sweetest Christmas, but my favorite has to be Matchmaker Santa.

  3. Matchmaker Santa is definitely my favorite! Time for Us to Come Home for Christmas was pretty good too.

  4. My vote was for Time For Us To Come Home For Christmas which I watched last night. This was easy for me because the story was intriguing, and also it had Stephen Huszar in it. Loved all the characters!

  5. Matchmaker Santa is my favorite and minus Mariah Carey, I like A Christmas Melody. I don;t mean to sound rude but those are the strangest closeups I've ever seen in a movie. Christmas Waltz was great but the end needed more.

    1. I am not sure if this is true, but I read Mariah filmed her scenes on a green screen and they added them to the movie. that is why the scenes seem weird, well to me at least. she looks like she has a different light on her then everyone else.

Love Lacey and Brennan together. always wish for another AOMH.

  6. I noticed only 2 of Lacey's Christmas movies don't have Christmas in the title and those are my top picks: Matchmaker Santa and Pride, Prejudice, and Mistletoe.

  7. The one in the lead right now was written by my friend Joany. She also wrote The Christmas Card.

    1. Chris, I'll try to see if I can think of them all!

Lacey Chabert portrayed a bride in...

      The Color of Rain

A Royal Christmas (Did you know Lacey wore her own actual wedding dress for the movie!)

All of My Heart: The Wedding

Hopefully we'll have one eventually in the Crossword Mysteries series! Did I remember all the ones you're thinking of?

    2. I think that is all the Hallmark movies that Lacey Chabert got married in. I didn't know that she wore a wedding dress that she got married in real life in Royal Christmas. Speaking of Royal, Did you hear that Prince Philip Passed away at the age of 99 on Friday?

    3. Chris, Yes, I heard about Prince Phillip’s passing. My heart goes out to Queen Elizabeth and her family.

    4. Did you see Prince Philip's funeral on Saturday April 17?

    5. Yes, I watched some of the service; it was a respectful tribute. My heart broke for Queen Elizabeth. Even though she has all kinds of riches, she lost her husband, her everything.

      Did you watch it, Chris?

  12. My favorite is her very first Matchmaker Santa. How bad is it that no other of her Christmas movies have topped that one?

  13. Mine is Christmas in Rome & Christmas Waltz

  14. I agree with Anonymous that our favorite Lacy Chabert Christmas movie was Matchmaker Santa. The casting was wonderful. Especially liked Adam Mayfield and her together. After that would be Christmas Melody. I was wondering if we were going to vote for our favorite Christmas movies soon. Not Christmas but we just got the Haley Dean mystery series and Mystery 101. Have the first 3 Mystery Woman shows and hope that the rest will come out on dvd soon. Really like those shows, especially "In the Shadows". RG

  15. Forgot to mention, we really like the Martha's Vineyard Mystery series and the Picture Perfect Mystery series. Hope both of those come out on dvd. RG
