Speaking of sequels, I'm also looking forward to the third movie in the "Time to Come Home" series with Lacey Chabert, who will be starring in her second new Hallmark Christmas movie this holiday season. These stories are typically beautiful and heartwarming. I also can't wait to see "A Little Christmas Charm;" as I'm very intrigued by the vintage mystery that takes Ashley Greene and Brendan Penny back in time!
Check out the new Christmas movies below and please share in comments the movies you are most looking forward to seeing this Saturday & Sunday.
Storyline via Lifetime: When Hayley (Jessica Lowndes) accepts an invitation to spend Christmas with her sister’s new in-laws, her seemingly perfect holiday takes a turn when Luke (Chad Michael Murray), Hayley's brother-in-law's brother, unexpectedly shows up. Still harboring a grudge against Luke for ending her last relationship, Hayley reluctantly spends time with Luke and slowly realizes she may have been too quick a judge on Luke.
Storyline via Hallmark: As Michelle’s (Peete) wedding approaches, Hannah (Bernard) steps up to help finish the launch of the new Evergreen museum while questioning her relationship and future with Elliot (Cayonne).
Storyline via Hallmark: Five guests are mysteriously invited to an inn to celebrate Christmas. With the help of the owner Ben (Huszar), Sarah (Chabert) discovers that an event from the past may connect them and change their lives forever.
Storyline via Lifetime: When college sweethearts, Corinne (Kyla Pratt) and Rob (Brooks Darnell), get opportunities on opposite sides of the world, they decide to part ways and meet again in two years on Christmas Eve to see if they are really meant to be. However, when one shows up and the other doesn’t, the fate of their romance seems to have reached the end. Many years later the two end up bumping into one another when they are both hired to help bring together a Christmas Eve wedding. With many questions left unanswered, they are about to embark on a journey filled with romance and magic, just in time for Christmas Eve.
Storyline via UPtv: All Kendall Riley wants for the holidays is to save her family's ranch, but her longtime rival, small-town scrooge Brick McCree, has other plans in mind. When Brick's son, Clint, comes back to town, he is immediately drawn to Kendall and offers a helping hand. As a romance starts to blossom, Kendall's farm is sabotaged, leaving her to wonder about Clint's true intentions.

We discussed "Christmas on the Range," just before it was released on DVD last Christmas; plus, we chatted about her ulitimate favorite Christmas movies, what it was like working with Nicholas Gonzalez (The Good Doctor), Trevor Donovan (USS Christmas) and Kevin McGarry ("When Calls the Heart") and so much more! *SEE HERE*!
Storyline via ION: A brokenhearted New York painter, Ava, and a West Coast widower, Mason, have their lives collide when Mason’s young daughter, Mia, rents out his guest house to Ava for Christmas, without her dad's knowledge, in an attempt to convince her dad she is responsible enough to earn a dog for Christmas.
Storyline via Hallmark: Holly (Ashley Greene), a jewelry designer finds a lost charm bracelet and teams up with investigative reporter Greg (Brendan Penny) in hopes of finding the owner and returning it by Christmas Eve.
Storyline via Lifetime: Popular romance novelist Izzi Simmons (Tony(R) winner Ali Stroker) spends every Christmas at her favorite snowy bed & breakfast, but this year, she's faced with an impending deadline and a severe case of writer's block. Luckily, inspiration strikes in the unlikely form of the B&B's new owner Matt (Daniel DiTomasso), who bears an uncanny resemblance to the handsome hero from Izzi's novels. As both partake in the lodge's annual itinerary of Christmas activities, Izzi's writer's block is cured and the first pages of her and Matt's own love story may just be beginning.

Merry Christmas to You All, Net
On this Second Week of Advent, which stands for preparation, we prepare our hearts as we celebrate the birth of Jesus! The advent season is a beautiful time to pray and reflect.
"As it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet:
“A voice of one calling in the wilderness,
‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him."
~ Luke 3:4
We'll always be team Grinch.
ReplyDelete__________
Watch Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas tonight at 9:15pm/8:15c on Freeform.
On paper anyway these look a cracking good bunch of movies this weekend.
ReplyDeleteParticularly looking forward to Jessica Lowndes/ Chad Michael Murray but Time For Us To Come Home For Christmas looks the pick of the bunch.
The plot looks something different and I am intrigued to see how the pairing of Lacey Chabert and Stephen Huszar works out.
I'll definitely be watching the new Christmas in Evergreen installment.

All the Holiday Hallmark Holiday Movies have been wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteWe are enjoying all the Holiday Movies. Our family recently watched One Starry Night from 2014 Season. It was excellent. Our question is was there a squel to this movie. Sarah Carter and Damon Runyan had great chemistry and were just brilliant actors. Looking forward to watching A Time For Us on Sunday Night! We Love Hallmark!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Grandmom4! Glad to hear you enjoyed "One Starry Night." Isn't the cowboy song the best? Unfortunately, there wasn't a sequel to the movie.
DeleteHope you enjoy watching this weekend! :)
Hey grand, I have a good movie suggestion to you, it’s a Grizzly Adam’s movie, called once upon a starry night. It’s not hallmark, but it is really good, starring dan haggerty 1978, I was sad he passed away a few years ago. Good Christian guy.
DeleteI LOVE One Starry Christmas, I have it on my dvr recorded from 2015, I watch it a lot. There are so many wonderful and silly moments in the movie. I love that the family just loves Luke and Bull, and that they know Adam is a weasel and wish more for Holly.
DeleteLove when Bull sings the song about Josephine, and one of the silly moments : the guitar is sitting in the living room just right there out on display, and then Bull asks if he happens to have a guitar, which he does. We always laugh about that part.
I often wonder how Holly and Luke would have worked out. Maybe Luke moved to Chicago. I just love how they met and had a connection and fell in love. I know they would have found a way to make it work.
Excited to see Time For Us To Come Home For Christmas. Love Stephen Huszar! The first two in this series are wonderful. Expect this to be the same.
ReplyDeleteI was a little disappointed with "Too Close for Christmas." I love both actors, but I thought the story was lacking. So far this year, my favorite has been "One Royal Holiday." I hope they release it on DVD. That was such a great movie.
ReplyDeleteI agree, Marlene. Huge CMM fan ever since The Beach House, and although I did like him and Jessica together, you're right, very lacking storyline. Dear Christmas with Melissa Joan Hart and Jason Priestly was very cute, thought.
DeleteMarlena & Savvy Girl - Thank you, both, for your reviews of "Too Close for Christmas." Even though it wasn't great, was it still family friendly?
DeleteMarlena - I love "One Royal Holiday," too! Laura Osnes is simply adorable in it - love her bubbly energy!
Savvy - Thank you for your review of "Dear Christmas," too!
I hope Hallmark could partners with
ReplyDeleteDAV (Disabled American Veterans)
Wreath Across America
They’revalresdy Partners with
Operation Homefront
USO
I think that would be a wonderful idea; I love how Hallmark honors our military.
DeleteThat's a wonderful idea. I'm actually participating in Wreaths Across America on December 19, and it would be a great storyline for HMM.
DeleteSavvy Giurl, That’s great ideaπ‘! If you could write storyline about WAA with someone else & when screenwriter could add something else if you collbratiobn with them to share ideal stories with you if they add something in their mind of writing ✍️ for HMM
DeleteIf your true stories are based on or someone else
That is beautiful, Savvy Girl! Thank you for giving back to our Veterans.
DeleteReally looking forward to it! Will send a post about it :)
DeleteAnonymous--I like that way you think! I wish they took unsolicited ideas (but I don't think they do boo hoo)
Wonderful, Savvy Girl! I would love to learn more about the Wreaths Across America event.
DeleteOperation Christmas is an excellent movie, it’s about a woman who knocks down a man in the army, and she falls for him and has no idea he is in the service until he is called to service. One year later she runs into him and is not thrilled that he wasn’t able to let her know, even though he tried through a non helpful front desk person. She tries to help honor our soldiers with Christmas cheer to their families, and the Christmas surprise at the end to the families from the soldiers is uplifting and very touching. This one is a feel good and must see movie for 2020.
ReplyDeleteI agree, Jason, "Operation Christmas" is a wonderful patriotic movie. I just looked it up to see when it premiered and the date was in 2016! Wow! I could hardly believe it's been 4 years ago already.
DeleteIf you're interested, I have pictures for the movie - here.

And lights are on display
There's a big ol tree for all to see
where the children run and playπ΅
π΅I look out my window
Somethin' just don't seem right
Til I said hello and heard her voice
On the other end of the lineπ΅
π΅Now it's christmas, christmas I'm hurrying' on my way
Christmas, Christmas, like I'm riding in a one horse sleigh
Well, I don't have to hear no jingle bells, just the ringing of the phone
Mama called and said it's time for me come on homeπ΅
π΅The pies are in the oven
you can almost taste the air
It warms my heart to feel her love

It's funny how going back can get you back to where you belong
it's the difference between just a melody and my favorite christmas songπ΅
π΅Well, it's christmas, christmas I'm hurrying' on my way

Well, I don't have to hear no jingle bells, just the ringing of the phone
Mama called and said "it's time for You come on home"
Mama just called and said "it's time for you to come home"π΅
I love love love this song!!! Thank you so much for posting these wonderful lyrics!
DeleteYou’re Welcome
DeleteThe lyrics are so different than 3 Time for Me to Come Home for Christmas franchise XMAS movies
Heath Sawyer was a stage name for Lee who sang “Time for Me to Come Home for Christmas” - he added Momma said “Time for me to come home for Christmas” & Momma said “Time for you to Come Home for Christmas “on “Time for Me to Come Home for Christmas”
The band played “Time for Me to Come Home” on “Time for You Come Home for Christmas”
The Blue Note Trio had an record album with 7 tracks when Jasper was in the band so he sang “Time for Me to Come Home” with Cassidy & her Dad; Owen on “Time for Us to Come Home for Christmas” - It’s same lyrics: “Time for Me to Come Home” that Blake Shelton duets with Dorothy Shackleford
If there’s 4th “Time for Me to Come Home for Christmas” franchise is “Time for Y’all to Come Home for Christmas”
There’s possibility duets with male & female singers with the lyrics are so different or same “Time for Me to Come Home”, on “Time for Y’all to Come Home for Christmas”
Christmas in Evergreen: Bells are Ringing
ReplyDeleteZoe & Michelle spoke French
Thank you Hallmark for English Subtitles for someone speaking French in Christmas in Evergreen: Bells are Ringing
I wasn’t so happy they didn’t put English Subtitles while Jessica spoke Spanish with her Sister in Jingle Bell Bride
And also, I wasn’t so happy they didn’t put English Subtitles while German lady spoke German to Sara & Mark in Christmas in Vienna
jessica lowdes is hard to watch, they set the bar high with December bride, and Christmas at pemberly manor not so good. I did not feel the chemistry between the two, and I guess I expected another December bride story. Perhaps I need to watch pemberly manor again?
ReplyDeleteA December Bride is one of my alltime favourite Hallmark Movies.
DeleteThe first half-hour has me in stitches - it's so funny!
Too Close for Christmas
ReplyDeleteToo Close for Christmas - this movie was honestly a little boring but average Christmas flick. Looked like CMM had let a kindergartener cut his hair but other that it was just fine for me
Representation wise: this had so much potential. The white girl was adopted into a Black family. BUT YOU ONLY MEET HER SISTER! The cast is still 99% white also idk if I like the Sisters dating Brothers idea but the movie was cute!
Sisters datiing Brothers meh if they’re part of family, What’s in the world are they thinking?
“Too Close For Christmas”
No montages pass
It is pretty uneventful, if I am honest. Not good, not bad, just meeeh.
LOL--I thought the adoption was a little strange, too, and that the sisters were dating brothers. And I love your comment about CMM's hair! It was a little bizarre looking. I like him clean cut better lol
DeleteI thought the Come Home for Christmas one was very boring. No chemistry between the leads and the side stories not compelling to me.
ReplyDeleteI agree about Too Close for Ch. It was bad, but not so6 I would buy. What us funny is that the leads filmed ano movie righ after theis one called The Tykoon's Kiss!
Misty
Yikes! I will never post via phone again! LOL I meant that it was ok and not too bad. I wouldn't buy it and the stars are in another movie together called The Tykoon's Kiss.
DeleteMisty
I think you mean Tycoon’s Kiss, Misty
DeleteI skip watching Christmas She Wrote but I’m watching USS Christmas.
ReplyDeleteUSS Christmas still no Closed Closed sgain 4 tines already
Then I’ll watch A Littoe Christmas Charm
Hi Net!
ReplyDeleteThis is a really random question but what do you think of the "Christmas with the Chandlers" series of movies from up? I have up faith and family and see they have them but I wanted to ask your opinion:)
Hi there!
DeleteThere are 5 movies in that series...
Marry Me for Christmas - premiered in 2013
Marry Us for Christmas - premiered in 2014
A Baby for Christmas - premiered in 2015
Merry Christmas, Baby - premiered in 2016
Chandler Christmas Getaway - premiered in 2018
I'm not sure I've seen all 5 of them in full, but all of the scenes I have watched were family friendly, from what I recall. Hope that helps a little. Please keep us posted if you decide to watch them.
Merry Christmas to You! :)
Hi Net! So I have now watched four of the movies in the series (the first, third, fourth, and fifth. I heard the second was boring haha). I really like them! The only thing that I'm not a fan of is the use of "oh my god". But other than that they are really cute. And I like how they talk about the true meaning of Christmas, have a Christmas pageant, mention reading the Christmas story, being God-fearing, and they pray for the Lord's guidance. I really appreciate that! It is hard to find :)
DeleteThank you so much for sharing this review - I'm so glad to hear how much you are enjoying them. You are so right, it is ironically becoming increasingly harder to find any mention of the birth of Christ in the typical Christmas movie today. It is refreshing to find it - enjoy! :)
DeleteA Little Christmas Charm
ReplyDeleteI’m so frustrated there’s no English Subtitles while Holly spilet German
Even the Anastasia spoke Russian
Hallmark, please put English Subtitles if someone spoke foreign languages
I adored A Little Christmas Charm. Great story and the mystery was pretty good. I really enjoyed the characters and what they got to do was so fun! It's a Hallmark book too. But, I think it has a different title. Again the HM&M was better than Hallmark!
ReplyDeleteMisty
Misty, So glad to hear you enjoyed "A Little Christmas Charm;" I'm really looking forward to that one! :)
DeleteI loved it, because there wasn't a ton of side stories and you got to know and care for the characters. Plus, great chemistry with the leads.
DeleteMisty
I hope Hallmark will make a movie about National Strawberry Day on 2/27/2021is about strawberry festival
ReplyDeleteDid u remember the movie about Julie Mond dressed as Strawberry Princess & Trevor Donovan as Country Singer?
I want Hallmark do movie National Strawberry Day is upcoming on 2/27/2021 with different actors & actresses
I LOVE the movie with Julie Mond and Trevor D. its Strawberry Summer (I think they call it Easy Heart when it is played on another channel). I LOVE Trevor SINGING IN THAT. I know all the words to Easy Heart. Its a silly movie but I love it.
DeleteThey used to play it on Hallmark Drama before Christmas, and also they would play When Sparks Fly on there too, another movie I love. They may be playing now cause Drama only plays a Christmas movie at 9 pm. And this year they skipped the following:
DeleteCase for Christmas
Farewell Mr Kringle
Santa Switch (it was on the schedule but it disappeared and they never played it)
Cancel Christmas
The National Tree
The Christmas Secret (the older movie)
I have been sad that they skipped these movies so I have been watching many other channel movies. I have watched Home Alone probably 10 times. Christmas Vacation many times but I always do. It seems now Hallmark is forcing the new movies cause there are many missing from the lineup like Matchmaker Santa I guess they didn't want to play it anymore. Luckily I only really watch more in the very early AM when I am getting ready for work or very late when going to bed, so I have been able to see Boyfriend for Christmas, TMWTOTY, Holiday Engagement--the movies they mostly play when people are sleeping so they can have the new movies' on prime time.
I agree. Why show 24 hr Christmas and just play the same movies over and over again? They don't show the Nutcracker one any more and I really enjoyed that movie. Good thing I bought the DVDs of movies like Matchmaker Santa.
DeleteMisty
Christmas In Evergreen did really bad in the ratings. I wonder why? Was there a major network having something on at the same time?
ReplyDeleteMisty
Misty, I haven't watched "Christmas In Evergreen: Bells Are Ringing" myself, yet, but I'm hearing from those who did - that at the beginning one of the characters (I think it's the guy who was the previous Mayor, Ezra), returns to town and says that his relationship didn't work out with Oliver. Well, Oliver was Andrew Francis' role 2 years ago.
DeleteAnyway, from what I'm told, there is nothing else mentioned or seen regarding this in the rest of the movie. Plus, it's not said if this relationship is business or personal, but most adults get the meaning.
Since this was at the beginning, it's possible many people turned it after hearing that, which would definitely explain the low ratings.
I haven't watched it myself as I am not a fan of that movie series. They never have the couples from previous ones there I liked the North Pole one better. I just thought it was odd just how badly it did. May be due to what you mentioned.
DeleteChristmas She Wrote was not a good movie. I am so disappointed in Danica picking this movie. I thought the pacing was just so off and NO chemistry between the leads. Which is a must for me. Plus, that storyline with Andrew Francis was so lame, what was the point of even having him on? I guess to fill their PC quota.
Misty
Maybe you're right, Net, about people turning it off early on. It was at the start of the movie and I figured the same=sex couple will show up later. I wanted to watch the movie, but I had no peace to continue.
DeleteMisty,
DeleteThank you, again, for your great reviews!
There has been some conflicting news on "Christmas She Wrote," and since you watched it, I was wondering if you could tell us if there was a same sex relationship in this movie, as we anticipated from the commercial.
Would so appreciate any information you can give us!
Merry Christmas to You!!! :)
The Christmas movie called; “A Glenbrooke Christmas”: is based on the book SECRETS, the first in author Robin Jones Gunn Glenbrooke series
ReplyDeleteYes, “A Glenbrooke Christmas” is based on Robin Jones Gunn's book! I'm especially excited about it, because she is a Christian writer.

I hope Hallmark will put English Subtitles for someone speaking Italian or even Jewish
They finally put English Subtitles in French language in Christmas in Evergreen: Bells are Ringing
They didn’t put English Subtitles in Jingle Bells Bride for someone speaking Spanish, Christmas in Vienna & A Little Christmas Charm for someone speaking German
It’s gonna be frustrated if they didn’t put English Subtitles in Christmas movies but other movies or TV Series have English Subtitles for speaking their foreign languages; even people don’t understand what are they saying in foreign languages?
I am a Jewish believer and I so wish HM would put the translation up. Funny thing is that the word Shamash was pronounced wrong during the movie. I had to chuckle since the actor didn't know it or the director. The Shamash candle is the middle one that is used to light the rest.
DeleteLove, Lights, Hanukkah
ReplyDeleteOh Dear, Whoever came up with this one - it’s a stretch. DNA does not indicate religion. It can’t tell you that you are 50% Jewish. DNA products can indicate a region of the world where your ancestry may be from where a particular religion may be prevalent. This is insulting for so many reasons. And incorrect.

A Godwink Christmas: Second Chance, First Love (Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, November 22 at 10 p.m.)
ReplyDelete“Godwink” isn’t the name of the small town in this three-quel. It’s Hallmark’s sexy Christian rebranding of the word “coincidence,” because what is a coincidence if not a wink from God? In this particular Godwink, Pat “ends up stuck in traffic next to his high-school sweetheart, Margie, at Christmas.” Maybe God just had something stuck in his eye with this one.
What is your favorite Autumn Reeser Hallmark movie that you have seen?
ReplyDeleteChris,
DeleteFor me, my favorite Autumn Reeser Hallmark movie will forever be "Love at the Thanksgiving Day Parade!"
It is just so fun, heartfelt and entertaining, plus Autumn & Antonio's chemistry is off the charts!
How about you? Which Autumn Hallmark movie do you like best?
One of my favorite Autumn Reeser Hallmark movies is A Bramble House Christmas. What is the one that Autumn Reeser is a Captain of a ship? Well anyway that is also one of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, Chris... I remember that one, it is "All Summer Long." It's a sweet rom-com, too!
DeleteWhat do you think of A Godwink Christmas:Second Chance First Love? Do you think that A Godwink Christmas and A Godwink Christmas: Meant for Love is a lot better than A Godwink Christmas: Second Chance First Love?
ReplyDeleteNet, What is the movie with Autumn Reeser when she was a Barbeque contestant and her character name is Tyler?
ReplyDeleteChris, I'm going to answer both of your questions. For the first question, I personally enjoyed "A Godwink Christmas: Meant for Love" best. I could just feel the Godwinks working in their lives. It was such a beautiful story.
DeleteAs for your second question, that movie starring Autumn Reeser with the BBQ cookoff is "Season for Love." It's such a sweet movie!
