However, the attractive but pessimistic Chef Stefano (Gilles Marini) believes it’s impossible – there are only three days until Christmas! But Natalie insists that problems are just opportunities in disguise and soon she convinces Stefano that they can do it. At first, these opposites do not attract, but feelings begin to change when they find themselves working side-by-side. With Stefano’s help Natalie learns that cooking, like Christmas, isn’t about perfection…it’s about sharing it with the ones you love.

Well... Surprise! Surprise! I am most excited this weekend to see these new Christmas movies - The Angel Tree, A Nashville Christmas Carol, and the latest, A Godwink Christmas! I'll record several others, as well, including Dashing Home for Christmas on UPtv! I always enjoy a good holiday travel story (like A Christmas Detour) where people are desperately trying to make it home for Christmas. The journey along the way is always so exciting - you never know what might happen next!
Besides a lighthearted comedy, each year, I'm also looking for a Christmas movie that has a heartwarming, inspirational message - so that's why I'm really looking forward to both - The Angel Tree and A Godwink Christmas: Second Chance, First Love. I just have a feeling both movies are going to be deeply touching and spiritually meaningful.
And, since I love Christmas music and classic country, A Nashville Christmas Carol looks like it will strike just the right chord there.
I can hardly believe Thanksgiving day is just next week! Ahhh!!! Why does this time of year fly by so fast? On Monday - I'll have another post up with the new family friendly Christmas Movies we are anticipating throughout Thanksgiving week! So... stay tuned for that!

I have to say this is the 1st weekend where there are so many movies I have been looking forward too. Angel Tree yay!!! Nashville Christmas Carol YAY!!!!! and Godwink, with a great cast Yay!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI am super excited to see the country music stars this weekend. Also so happy to see Kimberly Williams Paisley, who's husband is one of my favorite country singers.
Sabrina, I feel the same way! So many great ones this weekend, my poor DVR is going to be working over time!
DeleteI just watched Wes Brown & Jessy Schram previewing "A Nashville Christmas Carol" on Home & Family and it looks soooo cute. I, too, can't wait to see all of the Country Stars in it. They mentioned that Wynonna Judd and Kix Brooks would be singing in the movie. I hope Jessy & Wes do, too, since they are both such great singers.
Also, Jill Wagner was on H&F today and I have a feeling her movie, "The Angel Tree," is going to be such a good one. I think she & Lucas are surely going to make an excellent, fun pairing. Jill also mentioned she's currently "Mystery 101" and she said that Travis' ex-wife would be returning in this movie and it's *someone* we all know. Well, Erin Cahill was just on H&F recently and she appeared from the set of "Mystery 101." Erin wouldn't say what her role was, but she acted like it was a major character. So, I'm sleuthing and connecting dots here! Thought I would mention this because I know we both love the mysteries!
Anyway, hope you enjoy lots of wonderful Christmas movies this weekend!!! Happy watching!!! :)
I am most looking forward to A Nashville Christmas Carol and The Angel Tree. Wes Brown and Jill Wagner are two of my favorites! And thanks for the above tidbit about Mystery 101. Erin Cahill would be a great addition! Have a good weekend!
DeleteHey Net and Sabrina! I agree, we have some great movies to look forward to this weekend!
DeleteThere's a fan club on FB for Mystery 101 and Kristoffer Polaha. I joined both and the news about Travis ex-wife is flying all around both of those sites. Should make for a good mystery!! I guessed it was happening from the scene in An Education in Murder where Travis and Amy are on stake out and he tells her more details about his divorce. I thought then that wasn't just a random statement. It was a setup for the next installment. Can't wait...my favorite mystery show!
I watched Timeless Christmas this weekend and did enjoy it a lot. In so many movies I thought it was covid for not feeling a connection with the main characters and their feelings for each other, but in Timeless Christmas, Ryan Paevey and Erin Cahill had such a great connection on screen, I felt a connection to them so quickly, and that was filmed after covid, so the other movies I wasn't feeling the love must not have been due to covid. I want to see Erin & Ryan in more movies together. The movie was funny and witty, and I was so excited to see how it ended (I did not ever read the book).
DeleteOh boy, travis ex to enter the picture as Amy and Travis finally admitted their feelings and seem to be a couple???? That spells trouble. I LOVE Mystery 101 mainly cause it is one of those series that is rare, they don't have the police or detective constantly telling the other "you have to stay out of this" or "you are just a baker, I am the detective". There has been a real connection with Travis and Amy from day 1 and while Travis wants to protect Amy, he doesn't forbid her from "helping" out. He lets her be herself, and they work very well together. I LOVE the dynamic with Amy's dad and Travis too. I don't really like FB much, so I wont be joining the Mystery 101 group, but it sounds fun. Kris P is so good, and Jill Wagner is too, they make you feel for them and really root for them. I love the side characters too. Will be looking forward to them. that is one series I watch right away, I don't have them on my dvr long.
So excited to see more Chronicle Mysteries coming too :)
Joyce, Both of those groups sound like so much fun! Since many of us aren't on FB, please keep us posted if you hear any juicy news! "Mystery 101" is definitely one of my favorite mysteries on HMM these days, along with "Aurora Teagarden" and "Signed, Sealed, Delivered!" (Hopefully they still have plans to bring SSD back one day!)
DeleteAnyway, should be interesting to see how bringing back the ex will affect Travis and Amy's new relationship.
Happy Sleuthing! :)
Jennifer, I agree! Erin Cahill is an excellent addition. Wonder if it's a one time thing or if she will be a regular?
DeleteHope you enjoyed the Christmas movies over the weekend too! :)
Sabrina, Thank you for sharing your review of "A Timeless Christmas!" That one seems to have mixed reviews, so I'm quite curious about it. Glad you liked it.
DeleteI know what you mean about the virus with the movies... When I was watching one of the new movies recently I thought it looked like in some shots that the crowd gathered for the Christmas Tree lighting wasn't standing as close together as usual. They seemed to be spread out a little more. They weren't 6 feet apart exactly, but you could tell there was some distance.
Anyway... I'm with you - so happy to see many of our favorite Mysteries returning in 2021; I always miss them at Christmastime. I've always liked the mystery themed "Murder She Baked" movie and "Signed, Sealed, Delivered: For Christmas," too and I keep wishing they could do a Christmas themed movie for "Aurora" - and it wouldn't have to involve murder at Christmas, it could be a missing expensive Christmas gift or something. Anyway, guess that's not ever happening and we'll just have to look forward to them all in the New Year! :)
I saw some mixed reviews for Timeless too, but here's how I think, none of these movies are very believable anyway. Many of the movies have ridiculous plots, and they are trying to simulate real life, and in Timeless it has time travel, which I don't really believe in but at least I know its not real and its for fun. I read some things where they said he learned a cell phone so fast, but I guess I think it is a 2 hour movie, they could spend 2 hours explaining everything to Mr Whitley from 1905 or the viewer gets that he is learning stuff but the main story is him finding where he belongs and being able to choose his love.
DeleteI usually enjoy the movies with are they Santa's and stuff like that cause I know its silly, and it isn't trying to be serious. And with Hallmark movies nowadays, I just feel the movies they pass off as serious are as far from real as possible.
I’m so exciting to watch Christmas movie: “A Nashville Christmas Carol”
ReplyDeleteIncluding Country Music Star
This is reimagine of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol
Ghost of Christmas Past: Kix Brooks
Ghost of Christmas Present: Kimberly Williams-Paisley
Ghost of Christmas Future
Trying not to get too excited about The Angel Tree because sometimes you can expect too much.
ReplyDeleteWill be interested to see UpTV's Dashing Home For Christmas - will they have "stolen" from several previous similar Hallmark ones?
Have to say that to date this is one of the best years for Christmas movies.
Jill Wagner said on H&F about her mystery movie: Mystery 101
ReplyDeleteTravis’ Ex-Wife is someone you knew
Travis’ Ex-Wife protrayed by Erin Cahill
My heart is so full of joy! The three you chose are my picks too Net. This is the best TV weekend in a while. The Angel Tree is one I think will be a blessing to all. Of course, I love Jill and Lucas together. The Godwink movies are always wonderful! Nashville Christmas Carol has Wes and Jessy and I love both of them. Planning to record them all to watch again and again. What a wonderful early Christmas gift from the Hallmark channels!
ReplyDeletekitkat! I always love your joyful enthusiasm! So far, of the three I've only watched "A Godwink Christmas: Second Chance, First Love," which was very sweet and family friendly - love both Brooke D’Orsay and Sam Page, and they were fantastic together! I'll have to write a review for it soon.
DeleteBy the way, I enjoyed your review of "The Angel Tree" and I added it to the movie review page - here! I'm so looking forward to watching it! Thank you! :)

I so wish it had another theme besides the whole “Christmas Carol” ghost story! I just can’t sit through another variation after the fifty or so I’ve seen already.
ReplyDeleteI was watching H&F interviewed Jill Wagner about her new Christmas movie: “ The Angel Tree”
ReplyDeleteDebbie cried during scene of Rebecca & Matthew at Pine River Diner
Matthew: I wonder if he’d think of this
Rebecca: Hed be proud of you for doing something that you love
Jill said Rebecca falls in love with her best friend; Matthew
I hope Hallmark will make Christmas movie called; “A Nashville Christmas Nutcracker Suite” just like the movie about based on nutcracker ballet but not with a ballet from “A Nutcracker Christmas”, starred Amy Acker; looks different from “North Pole”, in starred Bailee Madison. Even adapted in turn from E. T. A. Hoffmann's story The Nutcracker and the Mouse King like reimagined of Nutcracker Story with a wooden Nutcracker doll when Clara enters the portal thru Christmas Tree when she meets Nutcracker Prince & Sugar Plum Fairy hid the Prince's ring away in a walnut ornament. The walnut can only be opened by the Nutcracker, who refuses. Sugar Plum Fairy with the Nutcracker as he opens the walnut, the Fairy grabs the ring and places it on the Nutcracker's finger, turning him back into the Prince & reviving his memory.

I'm so sorry to hear of your great loss of your precious 10 year old son. I thought this movie was beautifully done with such a caring Doctor who loved each patient; I'm glad it touched your heart and reminded you of your son.

A Nashville Christmas Carol is a refreshing rendition of the classic Dickens tale. I liked the twist of no future spirit and that it didn't make Vivian totally rotten. The performances by everyone were excellent. Of course any movie with Jessy and Wes in it makes it perfect from the start. A wonderful new Christmas classic!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing this wonderful review for "A Nashville Christmas Carol!" So glad you enjoyed it!

ReplyDeleteSeriously this is entirety of my favorite recipe… 8 oz cream cheese 6 T butter 1 T vanilla 2 T sour cream dash salt 4 to 5 c powdered sugar Use mixer to beat all but sugar until creamy and fluffy; gradually add powdered sugar until desired sweetness + consistency is achieved
Also a little trick…If you want it a bit less sweet, but to maintain the thickness of a pipeable frosting, you can cut back on the sugar and add a couple tablespoons of cornstarch, which doesn't add taste, but will make a stiffer, more pipeable frosting, akin to buttercream.
The Angel Tree was all I hoped for and more! So perfect for now! Sure to be blessed with each viewing of this sweet movie. Can not stop smiling!

The Christmas House had one of the lowest ratings for Christmas movies this season on HM. I guess others didn't tune in either. It was actually one of Hallmark Channels lowest rated Christmas movies. I am sure Hallmark will promote it as "sleighing" the competition as they have, and others will make excuses that people weren't home on Sunday night cause they had to go buy their toilet paper, But to me it seems the hallmark fans didn't want to watch what they were promoting in that movie.
ReplyDelete"had to go buy their toilet paper" --- Sabrina, that is just hysterical!!! Love it!
Delete~~Jane
Net & Sabrina, this is great news! So happy to hear the ratings were not good for The Christmas House! And of course they have blind sided us with Christmas at Starlight!! I did finish watching the movie because by the time the gay couple appeared I wanted to see the end, but I will not watch it again. So disappointed in Hallmark. Seems we are going to have gay couples thrown at us all around. Not going to know till you watch them. Our safe place no longer exist.
DeleteI thought that The Christmas House and A Nashville Christmas Carol were terrible. The best movie last weekend was A Godwink Christmas Second Chance First Love which I liked A Godwink Christmas Meant for Love and A Godwink Christmas better.
ReplyDeleteWell .we have a ton of toilet paper in Denver, so they can't use that as an excuse. LOL. Yeah, I noticed how low the ratings were for it. However, I don't think that matters to Hallmark any more. Just a certain age demo does.
ReplyDeleteMisty
Here is some trivia about The Angel Tree for you Net. The sweater Lucas wears was knitted by the director, I believe. I heard a live interview he did by phone, I am guessing from Australia, since he went there for the holidays. The music in the movie was added because the producers wanted him to play and sing. Lucas wrote the words. This might be considered a "spoiler". If so Net, just delete it. Thought this was fun to know. I promise! No more Angel Tree comments.
ReplyDeletekitkat, Love your trivia for The Angel Tree - I'll definitely have to look for that sweater when I watch! And, you are welcome to share as much enthusiasm as you like for this movie & more! Your delightful comments are always welcome here! :)
DeleteNet, it is the sweater with the hoodie. He wore it a lot. He and Jill had so much fun doing this. Lucas is such a grateful soul! I think Jill is too. Angel Tree is a light, happy, uplifting movie! With all the sadness this year, we all really need more laughter. Thanks Net for letting me share here.
