This weekend I'm really looking forward to seeing "A Timeless Christmas!" I have always been fond of period dramas, like Jane Austen movies or Little Women and Little Men, so this movie looks quite fascinating to me. It has a familiar storyline to Candace Cameron Bure's "Journey Back to Christmas," where she, too,  travels from the past and into the future unexpectedly. We'll have to see if Ryan Paevey's character returns to the past or stays in the future with Erin Cahill!

Which *NEW* Christmas movie are you looking forward to watching this weekend? Be sure to share in comments below!

Also, please know - I have NOT pre-screened these NEW Christmas movies listed above. If you happen to watch one of the new Christmas movies over the weekend and want to share whether or not it is a family friendly movie, please stop back by and leave a comment. I know everyone here would be grateful to know any information you are willing to share.

Joyous Christmas Blessings! Net

    1. Jennifer, Those are my top three picks for the weekend, too! Great minds think alike!

I'm so looking forward to the music, as well, in Christmas in Vienna - plus, I've always found Brennan Elliott and Sarah Drew to be fun in all of their previous movies.

And... "Mistletoe Magic," I agree... looks super cute and lighthearted, which is always a nice treat.

Happy Christmas Movie Watching this Weekend! :)

    1. Yes, that's another movie where a character appears in the future from the past. It's always interesting to see how a person from years ago responds to modern life and technology.

Kate McKay (Meg Ryan) is a modern day executive, a 21st century woman driven to succeed in the corporate world. With career and social expectations looming, each has grown cynical about the very notion of falling in love. But when a rip in the fabric of time thrusts Leopold into present day New York, the potential for an old-fashioned modern romance ignites.

  18. Meet Me at Christmas

The chemistry in the flashback and present-day scenes are simply wonderful.

Oh my goodness. The twist about how Joan’s love story with her late husband ties into her sweet almost-romance with Beau 28 years ago is heartbreaking. I legit cried. Of course, like Joan points out, things happened as they should have. But still, these missed opportunities always break my heart.

While the misunderstand seems mildly realistic, I put most of the fault on Joan. Why wouldn’t she just ask Beau if he indeed accepted an assignment in Alaska? Though as I write this, I realize it was self-sabotage. If she pushes Beau away, she will never have to tell her son, Liam, the truth about the night she met his dad. When Joan finally admits the truth to her mom and Liam overhears, I teared up again.

Oh my gosh, and Beau’s brother wedding toast at the end essentially explaining why Beau didn’t show up to the tree lighting 28 years ago made me actually cry again.

I realize now that this review is more of an account of when and how many times I cried watching this movie! Although you may easily guess part of the twist, this is the one time I don’t want to spoil any part of the story.

I have now cried three times while watching Meet Me at Christmas

  26. Haven't seen A Timeless Christmas yet bit it's getting excellent reviews.

Although there's still 6 weeks to go for me there has a been a huge increase in the quality of Hallmark's Christmas movies this year - I don't think there's even one we haven't really liked.

probably the weakest to date is Cranberry Christmas - maybe expected too much of it.

Next year's awards are going to be interesting especially in the male actor category.

We watched On The 12th Date Of Christmas at the weekend and it was a real cracker although the ending as so happens with Hallmark wqas too rushed.

Tyler Hines could eventually end up as Hallmark's leading man with Paul Greene seemingly taking a back seat.

  30. The Christmas Doctor

Zoey is a traveling doctor who prefers short assignments to stay put, so when she is assigned to a small town clinic for the holidays, she is surprised when she starts to feel at home.

    Thoughts

Dr. Zoey is a busy doctor who focuses on work rather than family or decorating her house. (She uses post it’s as decoration and eat Thai out of the carton. Is she me?) Dr. Zoey is assigned to a small town. When she gets there, people seem more interested in Meatloaf Monday than the new doctor. The town is so small they don’t even have an MRI machine.

Dr. Zoey rents a room, and it is owned by the same man she saw at the doctor’s office. His name is Luke, and he is hot, even with a daughter in college! Dr. Zoey plays it cool and even makes fun of Luke for constantly hitting his head on things. Dr. Zoey is instantly beneficial for the town and starts helping people in the town. The town also uses alteration with its restaurant menu. Meatloaf Monday, Tamale Tuesday, Waffle Wednesday, the possibilities are endless.

Lily, Luke’s Daughter, is back in town. She is already playing matchmaker with her Father and Dr. Zoey. Little do they know that Dr. Zoey has a past and worked as a medical doctor. We see through a flashback that she helped a young man in the army in Afganistan. She recalls playing chess with him, and it seems to be a painful memory for Dr. Zoey. She is running from the pain that she feels from losing the soldier.

Luke and Dr. Zoey bond over being divorced, and then they talk about their past. They play with lightsabers (don’t ask) and then have a pasta dinner with wine! Then they go for a walk and almost-kiss under the mistletoe but get interrupted with a call about a baby being born.

The two continue to go about their lives to avoid their romantic chemistry. Luke and Lily talk about her future while Dr. Zoey continues to have PTSD flashbacks. They come back together for Souffle Sunday date and decorate a Christmas tree together. They even catch themself under the mistletoe again but are interrupted by a Santa with a Rash. They rebound and kiss.

It is Dr. Zoey’s last in the town, and she witnesses Dr. Ray to win an award in the town. He is on the mend and thanks to her for all the help she has given to the town. They play a slide show of Dr. Ray and his family. His son was the soldier that Dr. Zoey tried to save in Afganistan. Zoey misses that slide because some kid gives her a candy cane.

Dr. Zoey hosts Christmas dinner for Gabby, Luke, Dr. Ray, and his wife. With a surprise guest, her sister Debra and her husband, Tai. Debra blows Dr. Zoey’s cover and knows everything about Luke and Lily already. (Haha!) Dr. Ray asks Dr. Zoey to become a partner at his practice. Dr. Zoey declines because she already has another job lined up in Philly. She says goodbye to Dr. Luke, and they try to act like it isn’t a big deal that she is leaving.

On her way out of town on Christmas Day, Dr. Zoey is stopped by Dr. Ray. He shares with her that he brought her to his town to thank her for providing his Son with such wonderful care. It is a very emotional scene.

Flash forward to New Year’s Eve; Dr. Zoey is finished with her job in Philly and has a night planned with Lasana. (Which sounds good to me.) She changes her mind and drives up to see Luke. They watch meteors together, and tells him that she wants to move in with him and make a home. They kiss on his doorstep.

  31. ‘A Timeless Christmas’
Paevey stars as Charles Whitley in the new Hallmark Christmas movie. He time travels from 1903 to 2020. When he arrives in the future, he is still at his home, The Whitley Estate. However, it is no longer a home, but a historical building. He meets history major and tour guide, Megan Turner (Erin Cahill).
