Movie Review:

This movie info was shared by Kellie:

"Net, I started watching Forever My Girl thru Amazon Prime and ended up turning it off. It shows a musician having a one night stand with a concert attendee at the very beginning and I realized this wasn't one I was willing to watch."

My response:

"Kellie, Thank you so much for sharing!

Oh my, I had no idea they would show that. I knew there was a situation in the past, but I didn't know how graphic it would be shown. I typically don't miss a movie, but I personally decided to skip this story, as well, simply based on reviews. I'm so glad I added the mature audience warning above, but even though I am an adult, this is not something I would choose to watch either or endorse.

Thank you for sharing your profound moral conviction on this film. I truly value your opinion and appreciate this. God Bless You!"

See or Skip:

I will have to recommend skipping this one.

  1. UPtv steals a march on Hallmark!

Delighted to see two movies I haven't seen before airing.

  2. This movie is a favorite of mine. I bought the DVD and have watched it numerous times. Don't think I would recommend it for kids though. A beautiful love story! Teaches happiness is not found in fame or wealth.

Net, you had the DVD showing here not long ago of a Candace movie "Finding Normal". I found this on Amazon a long time ago and bought the DVD. If any of your followers have not seen this movie, they would be blessed to watch it. I can't believe this wasn't a Hallmark movie.

  3. I'll watch this with an open mind.

Reviews for it seem to pretty split.

  6. Net, I listened to a podcast yesterday on YouTube with a lady named Ruth. Heads up to all followers of Jesus! Hallmark is including gays/lesbians in their movies. One of the ladies said we will have to make choices; one, don't support Hallmark, or two, pick and choose what we watch. My question for you is how will we know before watching the movies? Will Hallmark give us a warning or rating? The lady pointed out Hallmark is not a Christian network. Christians are what made Hallmark successful, and now we don't count! Disgusting!

    1. Hello kitkat - Thank you for sharing! I think, more and more, we will have to be careful of what we watch. It is very sad. The world seems to be changing even more drastically this year, shifting even further away from Godly values.

It is a scary time, but I'm holding tight to the truth my Momma keeps reminding me... "God is in control" - and I'm going to continue to put my faith in Him daily!

I'll do my best to let everyone know here if something is not family-friendly, but you are so right, we don't always know before they premiere.

We'll just have to keep a look out for one another here - and let each other know if a movie is wholesome or not. That's where we are now.

      We're in this together!

  7. As the head of that podcast I'm proud of the discussion we had that was open and honest about the situation. One panelist was a traditional Christian and one was not. Hallmark is keeping its commitment to have family friendly content whether that can include all families is something you will have to wrestle with yourself. We will keep having the discussion on the podcast

    1. Hello Rachel! Thank you for visiting my site over the wonderful Holiday weekend and sharing your thoughts.

The 4th of July is always a wonderful reminder of how precious our freedoms are and the ability we all have to express our individual ideas and opinions. We are so blessed by our Creator to do that!

We each have to decide for ourselves what is right for us - when it comes to our faith and beliefs with watching movies. In the end, it’s just a movie and if something doesn’t feel right, well... we all have the option to simply turn the channel. It's a good discussion to have, I'm sure it will be on-going.

Thank you, again, for visiting my site. I’m glad we both share a common joy, Rachel, in watching and reviewing movies!

      Blessings to you, Net

    1. Bless you... for this sweet, encouraging comment. It truly means so much to me!

I believe God is calling us to be His Light in this dark world.

God commands us to be holy, a people like Him, a people after His own heart. Sin separates us from God, it is an abomination to Him. Jesus died to take away all of our sins, and I am so glad our Lord is forgiving. When we make mistakes, He is faithful and just to forgive and cleanse us from all unrighteousness! (1 JOHN 1:9)

  11. Watched this on MGM + today (it's the rebranded name for Epix's movie channels). It has it's mature moments, but also a lot of sweet moments as well, I liked that. -Maria
