I hope you enjoy all the new shows Sunday night.

This new episode of "When Calls the Heart" on Sunday night, with the chickenpox outbreak, seems quite timely as we are all currently facing the unknown in our world with the coronavirus, otherwise known as COVID-19.

At this time, I think it's best to remain calm, be extremely careful and use common sense and good hygiene, like our Mothers taught us. Even the common flu, sadly, kills so many people each year in our country, so it's important to practice these measures for the sake of the people who are vulnerable there, as well. In fact, the amount of people who have the typical seasonal flu is much higher than one might expect. If we only knew how many people were afflicted with it in our local areas, we might also be alarmed by the high numbers.

My family and I are taking this all very seriously, and even though I'm not quite as concerned for those who are my age, I am concerned for my elderly family members and those I know who have other medical issues. In the meantime, I hope everyone here will be safe and take care. I'm praying for you all and my leaders, who I know are doing their best to contain this virus. Through all of this uncertainty, I'm putting my trust in the Lord.

Does the chickenpox storyline from "When Calls the Heart" bring to mind any memories for you? Do you remember having them yourself, a sibling, or, perhaps, your children? I personally recall having chickenpox quite vividly. There were lots of spots... everywhere, which didn't itch too bad at first, but then in time, it was awfully itchy. Thankfully, my fever broke quickly, the calamine lotion soothed the blisters, and the places healed in time. I know the same will be for Rosemary on the show. If only everyone in real life could recover from all viruses and diseases like this and have a storybook ending.

I pray you all have a pleasant, peaceful weekend.
Again, take care, everyone... my prayers are with you!
Blessings, Net

  2. Hallmark Channel Shuts Down Production Of ‘Home & Family’ & Original Movies Amid Coronavirus Pandemic

Hallmark Channel’s popular daytime lifestyle program Home & Family has joined a number of other daytime shows in suspending production in face of an alarming spread of the coronavirus. The Crown Media Family Networks’ channel also has put on hold production of its slate of signature original movies, shot in various U.S. and international locations. The decision follows growing concern over the coronavirus pandemic, which has prompted President Donald Trump to declare a national emergency and Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garceti to call for any large gatherings of people to be cancelled .

Hosted by Debbie Matenopoulos and Cameron Mathison, Home & Family is filmed in the Universal City area of Los Angeles. It will go dark starting Monday, March 16, for at least two weeks. Hallmark will air repeats of Home & Family while the show is on hiatus. The program’s last original today, March 13, featured Kevin McGarry & Chris McNall, stars of Hallmark’s flagship drama When Calls the Heart.
Other daytime talkers that have shut down over the coronavirus crisis include The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, The Mel Robbins Show, Tamron Hall, and The Wendy Williams Show.

Here is Crown Media Family Networks’ statement about the production suspension of Home & Family and original movies:

Our top priority is the health and safety of all cast, crew, and guests who are part of our productions.

As new information becomes available regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, we have decided to suspend production on our daytime lifestyle series, “Home & Family,” which films daily at Universal Studios, CA. The earliest a new episode could be taped is March 30, though no decision has been made about when production will resume. We plan to air encore episodes at this time, and we will continue to monitor the situation with the CDC and state officials to determine the best time to return and produce new episodes of “Home & Family.”

Crown Media is also temporarily suspending production on its original movies, which are shot in various locations in the U.S. and around the world, and we will continue to monitor the global situation with assistance from health officials. The production pauses are a proactive measure to safeguard all involved.

    1. .

Thank you for sharing this news and the source. I heard about Home & Family yesterday, as well. I wondered if they might have to take a break during all of this. Oh my goodness... It feels almost like our whole world is shutting down.

I've also heard that filming was halted on the Aurora Teagarden set and Candace Cameron Bure was wanting to get home to her family. I think that's how everyone feels right now - a sense of just wanting to be home and safe and surrounded by our loved ones.

I pray with all of this social distancing the number of cases will no longer rise, but I know there are people who must continue to work and be amongst people, so you can't keep it down fully.

My local Walmart had many empty shelves over the weekend, but Walmart sent out a reassuring email to their customers saying, "we’re dedicated to keeping stores stocked and prices fair. We’re working hard to replenish cleaning supplies, paper products, and other in-demand items as quickly as possible." I know they and other stores are doing their best. I've heard as soon as they get it stocked, those items sell out very quickly.

It's definitely an usual time for all of us right now. President Trump has declared today as a National Day of Prayer... and I know many of us are doing just that, praying and leaning on our faith.

God bless you all... be safe!

    2. I wanna know done filming: AURORA TEAGARDEN MYSTERIES: REUNITED AND IT FEELS SO DEADLY from Schedule: 3/9/2020 - 3/27/2020.

How long will they take halted Aurora Teagarden? When they will resume filming Aurora Teagarden mysteries? We gonna watch her mystery movies.

    3. I know exactly how you feel. I think everyone wishes we could go back to our normal world.

Candace and the cast were still in the process of filming this Aurora movie, so they were not done. I don't think anyone knows at this point when filming will resume. Watching a Hallmark movie does help me, too, to take my mind off everything for a little bit. There are new movies and mysteries coming up, including "Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: Heist and Seek," which is currently scheduled to air - April 12, 2020.

I have been wondering, though, if they might reschedule some of these upcoming movie premieres to spread them out a little more, since their current film projects have been halted.

  3. I was in 5th grade when I had the chicken pox--the same time my brother was in the hospital to get his tonsils out. And that had been delayed because he had chicken pox a few weeks before.

    1. Oh my... that is quite a memory. My siblings had already had it when I got it, so I was all alone. It sounds like your brother shared them with you. How nice of him! :) Bless his heart, though, having to have his tonsils out too. That must have been miserable for him.

  4. When Calls the Heart, the chicken pox has hit Hope Valley as an outbreak affects the young and the old. Elizabeth (Erin Krakow), Carson (Paul Greene) and Faith (Andrea Brooks) deal with an outbreak of chickenpox that has sidelined Opal (Ava Grace Cooper) as well as Rosemary (Pascale Hutton).

Meanwhile, Gowen (Martin Cummins) finds himself in a legal dispute, much to the dismay of his silent partner, Lucas (Chris McNally). As the presiding judge in the suit, Bill (Jack Wagner) finds himself trying to corral the townsfolk to be on the jury.

The “Sweet and Sour” episode of When Calls the Heart airs Sunday at 8 p.m. ET followed by the episode, “Lost and Found” of When Hope Callson Hallmark Channel.

  5. When Calls the Heart has been through its ups & downs.

The beloved Hallmark series is in its seventh season, but not all the original cast members are still around. We’ll never forgive them for killing off Jack(Daniel Lissing), and the show is still recovering after it lost Lori Loughlin’s character, Abigail Stanton. Now, Hearties are worried that Andrea Brooks might be saying goodbye to Hope Valley, too.

Andrea has played Faith Carter on WCTH since 2015, and her romance with Paul Greene’s Dr. Carson Shepherd is one of our favorite storylines as of late. But in the recent episode “Family Matters,” Faith's future became more and more unclear.

The good news is that Faith got into medical school, but the rain cloud over all of this is that she has to attend in Chicago—which isn’t exactly driving distance from Hope Valley. Though she was torn about the decision, Carson encouraged her to go telling her, “Sometimes in life we’re presented with a choice where the right decision is to take the risk.”

She agreed—on the terms that he’ll visit—but now we’re not quite sure what that means. Is Faith going to be back? Will she finish out this season? Will she leave for a bit and return shortly after she completes her courses?

Hallmark confirmed that Andrea will not be leaving WCTH. Andrea was actually on maternity leave during the last half of filming for season 7, which is why Faith had to head off to Chicago for a bit. But the network says she's still a part of the series.

Phew! We're so relived and hope to have more Faith and Carson moments to gush over soon.

    1. Since Hallmark has halted all of their filming due to the coronavirus, I think all future plans for filming will be hopefully rescheduled once things are settled. I'm sure Hallmark has a lot of movie projects that are in-the-works, which will have to be postponed or even delayed until next year.

  9. Every Christmas is about baseball

Enjoy these 12 Dodgers Hallmark Christmas movies
Something to pass the time without baseball
One of the things I do to pass the time without baseball during the winter is to watch as many Hallmark Channel Christmas movies as I can. Yes, they are formulaic and predictable, but they are fun to have on in the background at least, and sometimes suck you in to the very end.

Well, we are without baseball again, but it’s too far from Christmas so those movies aren’t on. So I thought I would make up some new Christmas movies, but with a Dodgers theme. Hallmark Channel, call me.

Please enjoy these 12 film synopses.

    Hanging Garland
A veteran left-hander struggles through the worst stretch of his career, thanks to an inconsistent curveball that keeps getting hit over the fence. He finds the strike zone again, and finds love along the way after a chance encounter with a friendly white-bearded man at the local mall.

    The 12 Ceys of Christmas
A woman moves back to her hometown after a nasty breakup, but her sadness is soon forgotten as a secret Santa mails her a dozen packages, each one containing a baseball card of her favorite third baseman growing up. Little does she know her gift giver was her high school sweetheart, but when she finds out the intersection of love and baseball becomes the hot corner.

    Deck the Halls
When asked for help finding a true love, Santa tells a girl her future husband is a relative of a former Dodger named Hall. She dedicates her life to tracking this man down, scaling the family trees of Toby Hall, Bill Hall, John Hall, and Darren Hall, who combined for 110 games with the Dodgers. Will she catcher soulmate before Christmas?

    Last Minute Stocking Stuffy
At just 5 for 39 (.128) in parts of three major league seasons, interrupted by military service in The Great War, our hero can’t find any luck at the plate, or with the ladies. Until a brief fling in Brooklyn, that is, when he hits .364 and holds the fifth-highest OPS in franchise history (minimum 10 PA), and falls in love to boot.

    Auld Lang Syne Stealing
A rich man from the big city is in the market for a ring for his beloved, only to find every jewelry store in the area sold out of each of his top choices. It turns out that someone — coincidentally from Houston — hacked into his phone and knew every type of ring he wanted, and beat him to the punch, buying out every store in an attempt to steal his love away. Will our hero overcome his dejection to propose to his love by New Years Eve? Can he beat the buzzer?

A Cartridge in a Pear Tree
A series of couples who warm up for Christmas and satisfy their wintertime baseball longing by watching their old videos of the last time the Dodgers won the World Series on VHS cartridges, the only format that was available at the time.

    Christmas in Wheezer Dell
Two longtime co-workers find love on a writers retreat in a small town, oddly named for a former Dodgers pitcher who pitched the final inning of the first World Series in franchise history. There’s definitely multiple scenes with a gazebo in this film.

    Inside Lewallyn, Dennis
A struggling singer is looking for the perfect song, and life on the road proves hard to find love. But her high school crush, with whom she has shared 19 intermittent dates over a five-year span, inspires her career-making hit and wins her heart in the process.

  10. Hallmark Suspends Production of Original Movies and ‘Home & Family’ Due to Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Soaps.com can confirm that another network has been affected by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. On Saturday March 14, Crown Media Family Networks released a statement regarding its suspension of any new original movies, as well as its daytime lifestyle series Home & Family, hosted by All My Children’s Cameron Mathison and Debbie Matenopoulos and filmed at Universal Studios in Los Angeles, California.

“Our top priority is the health and safety of all cast, crew, and guests who are part of our productions. Crown Media is also temporarily suspending production on its original movies, which are shot in various locations in the U.S. and around the world, and we will continue to monitor the global situation with assistance from health officials. The production pauses are a proactive measure to safeguard all involved.”

Back in February, we reported Hallmark’s latest annual event, Spring Fever, featuring four new original movies, some of which include former soap opera stars from All My Children, Another World, Days of our Lives and Guiding Light. Though these movies will premiere starting March 28, the recent suspension could very well impact the network’s Countdown to Summer May special, as well as its June Weddings one. Soaps.com will continue to update our readers with future details as they are released.

The umbrella unit subsidiary of Hallmark Cards, Inc., Crown Media Family Networks consists of cable’s leading family friendly networks, Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, and Hallmark Drama. Hallmark Channel is known for its new, original content, including movies, scripted series, annual specials and its two-hour daily show, Home & Family.

2019 was a record-breaking year for the production industries in Hillsborough and Pinellas counties.

The economic impact was nearly $30 million for the area, through commercials and independent films such as two Hallmark movies and Fear of the Rain, formerly known as I Saw a Man with Yellow Eyes, starring Katherine Heigl, Martinolich said.

The trend continued through early 2020 with Justin Long directing Lady in the Manor locally
