PLOT:

Storyline via Hallmark: Forced to baby-sit with her college nemesis, a young woman starts to see the man in a new light.

Extended storyline via PixL: Maggie (Tammin Sursok) and Alex (Travis Van Winkle) have been butting heads since college when they were introduced by their best friends, Ethan (Stephen Boss) and Elena (Tiffany Hines). Now, their mutual pals are married with children, desperate for a romantic getaway and a babysitter. Uneasy about leaving the kids with the childlike and seemingly irresponsible Alex, they know Maggie would be the mature choice. But, with big things on the horizon for Maggie’s company, Ethan and Elena fear she’s too busy. As a last minute solution, they decide to split the task, tricking Maggie and Alex into babysitting together and leaving town before they can object. Bound to their obligation, Alex and Maggie attempt to work through their differences, but cooperating quickly turns into stormy rivalry. However, opportunities to teach the children some life lessons bring the pair closer than ever, proving that they share some very similar ideals. Acting as a true family for the first time, both the babysitters and kids are sad to see their time together come to an end with the return of Ethan and Elena. But it’s the powerful bond between Maggie and Alex that makes them consider whether breaking up their new-found relationship is what they truly want.

  1. Seeing movies like this that are a few years old and first aired on a different network don't give me much hope that they will be favorites of mine...but we'll see.

I admit that I prefer brand new movies made with Hallmark's higher budget and quality standards (I assume their budget and quality are higher, at least.) I guess I'll find out soon! I'm thankful for lots of movies coming our way.

    1. Yeah, I was surprised when Hallmark posted this movie and "Bad Date Chronicles" for a Saturday movie premiere time slot. They have aired other PixL movies, but never in the evening, when one typically expects a classic Hallmark movie or new premiere on Saturday nights.

I guess the focus on the Hallmark Channel for the next few weeks will be on Sunday nights, with new episodes of "When Calls the Heart."

  2. Just curious-is Hallmark not doing new original movies every week anymore? I don't consider PIXL or UP movies to be original content, when they aired three or more years ago the first time. Either way looking forward to Spring Fever and the new mysteries coming out.

    1. That's right. The Hallmark Channel will not be doing a new original movie every Saturday night this year. The next "official" Hallmark movie won't premiere until March 28th, which is over a month away.

There are two PixL movies in between... and I know some viwers who have this channel, have already seen these movies.

Even Hallmark Movies & Mysteries won't be premiering a new movie until the end of March.

Guess we can all look forward to Spring Fever!

    1. Hi Brenda! There are two repeat showings for this movie, so far...

      Sunday June 7 5:00 AM
      Monday June 29 12:00 PM

Since these dates are next month, you'll probably want to re-check as we get a little closer. There's always a possibility there could be a change.

Hopefully, you'll be able to catch the whole thing when they re-air it then!

    1. Grace, I love this cute movie, too! Unfortunately, since it first came from PixL, those movies are rarely released on DVD. Hopefully you have a DVR and have a little time to record and keep it. It's possible it might be released one day, but until then, we'll have to keep hoping and looking for it.
