  1. Erin Krakow) excited to celebrate Christmas with Jack “JJ” Thornton Jr. (Twin Lincoln & Gunnar Taylor), as well as his first birthday on Christmas Eve, but she’s missing Jack Thornton Sr. (Daniel Lissing) as she tries to create a Christmas for her son that’s as special as the ones she experienced growing up.

There’s the added complication of two handsome newcomers to Hope Valley, Constable Nathan Grant (Kevin McGarry) and Lucas Bouchard (Chris McNally), the new saloon owner—both of whom have made their attraction to Elizabeth increasingly clear (we should all have such problems!). Elizabeth becomes drawn into a crisis in Nathan’s family life with his niece, Allie (Jaeda Lily Miller) when he’s faced with a life-altering decision.

Lucas puts on a show for Elizabeth and the entire town, transforming Main Street into a magical German Christmas Festival. Rosemary (Pascale Hutton) and Lee (Kavan Smith) obsess with their own challenge to come up with the perfect Christmas present for Little Jack. In contrast, Bill (Jack Wagner) knows exactly what he intends to give his godson, but he misplaces the gift which causes him much anxiety.

Meanwhile, Carson (Paul Greene) and Faith (Andrea Brooks) get their signals crossed as they try to spend their first Christmas together as a couple. Faith arrives back in Hope Valley to surprise Carson, only to discover that he’s taken the train to be with her. Carson’s journey home gets complicated by a series of misadventures.

  2. "The stars of When Calls The Heart want everyone to know love is love. The members of the cast are sharing symbolic selfies, in what appears to be in support of Hallmark’s decision to continue to air a commercial of a same sex couple. The reversal of a decision to ban a Zola commercial that featured two women kissing, then reversing that decision, has earned the praise of the actors who grace Hallmark’s movies."

My family will not be watching any more episodes of this program.

  3. Watching this certainly won't be as joyous as it used to be, due to the whole cast posting their Instagram "Love for all" hearts.

Seeing all of them post that felt like a kick in the gut to me, because they have to know that us "Hearties," their core audience, don't want gay themes on Hallmark.

It makes me very sad that they, and the Hallmark Channel, would diss us like that.

    1. My husband and I decided we won’t be watching When Calls the Heart for this very reason. After the ad with the Lesbian couple kissing was reinstated my first thought was I’d continue to watch Hallmark and if we see something contradictory to our values we’d turn the station. After the entire WCTH cast posted their selfies in support of “Love for All”, we decided that was enough. With a sad heart I say “This Heartie is done”.

  4. Looking forward to this and enjoying every Hallmark Christmas movie so far...but I can’t find A Christmas Wish with Kristy Swanson anywhere. Do you know why none of Hallmark’s channels are not showing this beautiful classic this season? I’ve watched it while both putting up my tree and taking it down for many years now....

    1. Hello Tanya, I missed seeing this movie, "A Christmas Wish," this year, too! It is such a heartwarming film. Those children are so precious. My favorite part is when the little girl tells the true Christmas story of Jesus' birth; it's such a beautiful moment.

I know TBN has played it in the past, but I didn't catch it there this year. Thankfully, it is available on DVD on streaming.

Thank you for reminding me of this sweet movie; I will pull out my DVD and watch it with my family.

    2. I totally agree, as this film is my all-time favorite. There are SO many new movies this year, it seems that some of the older, tried and true favs have fallen by the wayside. Memo to Hallmark: Even when there's a trendy new restaurant in town, sometimes we still crave Grandma's chicken & dumplings!

  5. Did you spot Danica McKellar’s book at imagination library on Christmas at Dollywood
