Movie Review:

WARNING: This movie contains a homosexual couple who kiss. If you believe in traditional marriage, as I do, then you will not want this movie to be played in your home.

  1. For parents, Twinkle All the Way has a married gay couple. If you do not want to have a conversation about this with your kids or you have not already done so---give this movie a miss.

    1. Oh no... I had been looking forward to seeing this movie until I heard this.Thank you so much for letting me know and sharing this news here with all of us. I'm sorry to hear they added this storyline to this movie; I will be sure to add a warning above.

      I haven't personally viewed this movie, but with a little searching I discovered the homosexual couple also kiss at the end of the movie.

      I'm sad to see Lifetime add this content to another Christmas movie. I will not be watching, and I will share this news with family and friends who also stand for traditional marriage.

      Again, thank you for taking the time to share. I appreciate it very much!

    1. Karen, thank you for sharing. It is very disappointing for me, as well. I was really looking forward to this movie, until I heard this news. My family and I certainly will not be watching this now, and I'm grateful to the Anonymous commenter above who shared this information with all of us.

  3. Many thanks for the content warning! It looked so cute in the previews, but, sadly, I too will now be skipping this one.

    1. Alicia, thank you for your comment. It sounds like many viewers were completely surprised by this storyline in this movie. I also thought it looked so cute in all the promos, so this was totally unexpected. Very disappointing, but thankfully, we will have plenty of other options!

  4. I hadn't seen the warning and watched the movie tonight. No kids in my house, so no awkward conversations. Just a "yuck" reaction from all of us Christian adults. Other than that, it was a cute movie. It's a shame that Lifetime (and other networks) feel the need to cater to the sinners.

    1. Thank you! I so appreciate your comment. It is unfortunate they are taking this turn with, of all things, their Christmas programming. I'm sorry to hear you all didn't know beforehand. I think a lot of people were taken by surprise with this storyline. It looked like it would be a sweet movie, otherwise, but my family and I won't be watching it.

  5. We too are Christians and were

    looking forward to this movie. Especially since they used part of our property and the "bridge scene" was on my in-laws property across the road from us. Sadly we too will not watch this and are truly disturbed about this fact. Thanks for sharing.

    1. Hello John, I'm sorry to hear your disappointment. I think many of us Christians are feeling the same way this Christmas with these new Lifetime movies featuring these homosexual couples. Unfortunately, this movement is moving in everywhere we look these days. Everyone has the right to their own free choices, but it also our choice as believers - to not to watch this sort of entertainment.

      I feel your heart here with your comment. Thank you for sharing your story with us.

  6. Thanks to your WONDERFUL blog, I've been recording ALL the great Christmas movies and gradually watching them when I have time. Unfortunately, this particular movie is the third Lifetime movie I've had to delete halfway through viewing. What a waste of fun, movie-viewing time! I wish there were a list somewhere of all the same-sex-couple/politically-correct movies so I could just avoid them (I'm definitely going to be stopping in to read your comments more often now!). I wrote down the names of the production companies for the movies I've deleted and I'll be more careful in the future with any of their other productions. So far, due to the same-sex couple issue, I've had to delete:
    "A Christmas Wish"(married, gay couple w/child) (Active Entertainment, producers Ken Badish & Daniel Lewis);
    "Twinkle All the Way"(married, gay couple, kiss) (Off Camera Entertainment, producer Stephanie Slack);
    "Staging Christmas"(lesbian couple) (Hybrid, LLC, producer Jeff Schenk).
    An upcoming movie on 12/21/19 called "The Christmas Hotel" is also produced by Hybrid, LLC, so I'll be curious to see if it has the same issues.

    1. Thank you for your sweet words on my site... I appreciate you sharing this information. I had not heard about "Staging Christmas," so I'll be sure to remove that movie off my list, as well. It is so sad to see the direction Lifetime has taken this year. I think they will end up losing a lot of viewers because no one can trust that their Christmas movies are family friendly any longer.

      That is very smart to wonder about the next movie coming from Hybrid, "The Christmas Hotel." I, too, will be on guard when it comes to watching Lifetime Christmas movies in the future, if I decide to bother at all.

    2. Thank you for all these details, Anonymous. I didn't know about "Staging Christmas". Deleted! Today, I saw something on Google about there being 4 Lifetime movies this year promoting homosexuality, so it appears we have one more to identify. Perhaps you're right that it will be "The Christmas Hotel". I'm so sad for our culture but grateful to have each other here to help!

  7. Well, after writing the above post, I thought about just deleting all the Lifetime movies I had on the dvr. But then I figured it might be better to at least watch them and that way be able to share with friends whether there was any objectionable content that should be avoided for Christian family movie nights. So, last night I watched "Merry Liddle Christmas" and thought it was a lot of fun; I enjoyed the loving, chaotic Liddle family. Nothing in it was any more objectionable than other secular holiday movies. It's so nice to settle down with a nice cup of tea and watch cozy Christmas movies. (And so very annoying when you have to hit the delete button halfway through! Hopefully Alicia's research is accurate and there is only one more to find and delete. "Staging Christmas" wasn't as blatant as the other two, and I actually got farther into the movie before I hit delete because I wasn't certain where that story angle was going, but then they made their agenda quite obvious.)

  8. Just an fyi for viewers who are Christians and believe in traditional marriage... the Lifetime movie "Christmas Unleashed" introduces a gay couple about halfway into the movie. A big deal is made about congratulating them on their recent marriage, admiring their wedding bands, referring to them as "Mr. and Mr.", etc.

  9. I just watched the movie tonight. I wished I had read these reviews first. It was an excellent movie, until the last scene when 2 gay guys kissed. not the starring couple. I wanted to puke. Someone mentioned that they were married in the movie, but I did not see or hear that in the movie. If I wanted to watch gay people kiss, I would have chosen a different movie. They are trying to push their lifestyle on the rest of us like it is normal.

  10. Net, sometimes it's best to search some of the cast members of the newer Christmas or seasonal movies. It's most likely if they are "that way", we'll know about it. Hallmark has been promoting a certain young fella of that persuasion in many of their movies. I just can't deal with the kissing scenes! I'm wondering if the female leads are aware and given a choice? I'm not going to understand it all but I'm certainly going to pray for them!
