This Weekend on TV: It's Fall Harvest & Christmas on Hallmark - Plus, a Jane Austen Inspired Movie on UP!

Happy Weekend, Everyone! What a fascinating week it has been - with unexpected surprises! Who knew that three networks: Lifetime, Hallmark Drama and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, would be playing so many Christmas movies by mid-October! I guess next year they need to start in July and just keep going all the way until January 1st! haha! Some of us would love that, wouldn't we? Then again, I know we also don't want to miss the other seasons, too, like Summer Nights and Fall Harvest! Although, poor Fall Harvest was definitely slighted this Autumn. Let's hope they make up for it next year.

Speaking of Fall Harvest, you can still see lots of films from that genre on the Hallmark Channel today and all week long (unless they change their schedule, too!), including: Autumn Dreams, Falling for Vermont, October Kiss, Love, Fall & Order, Falling for You, etc...

Or, join in the Christmas movie season with movies like: A Dog Named Christmas, Silver Bells, and Fallen Angel on Hallmark Drama and Northern Lights of Christmas, A Joyous Christmas, and The Christmas Card on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries!

Now, here is what's coming up *NEW* tonight...

I'm a little disappointed that Christmas movies have started this early. And as a frequent visitor to this site all year long, I'm obviously a huge fan of Christmas and Christmas movies! I don't think Hallmark should have been that worried about losing market share to Lifetime just because Lifetime started airing Christmas movies early! It's mid-October! I want to see movies about Pumpkins, and autumn leaves, and apple harvests, etc. Surely Christmas can wait a couple of weeks, right? I know that Hallmark is still airing a few Fall movies but it's not the same when they're surrounded by non-stop Christmas. I think at this point, Hallmark should just announce an all-year Christmas channel because next year either Lifetime or Hallmark will inevitably start airing Christmas movies in September!

  2. Hallmark could add more than 40 expect Alice in Christmasland, etc...
