  1. This is based on Terri Reed's book, A Family Under the Christmas Tree, and I'm looking forward to it.

  3. I like this one. This might be my favorite Merritt Patterson's Hallmark movie to date! Great pairing with Jon Cor. Cant help but love Troy as well, played by Luke Roessler. I enjoyed this more than I thought I would.

    1. CH - I loved Merritt Patterson in this movie, too! I'm with you - it's probably my favorite of all her Hallmark movies, so far! There's just something so perfectly warm, familiar and genuine about it! The characters all felt so real, like they could literally live next door!

  5. Really enjoyed this - great performances from both Merritt Patterson and John Cor with a good supporting cast.

I hope I'm not speaking too soon but on what I've seen so far there is a definite improvement in the quality of the main Hallmark Channel's Christmas movies from last year!

    1. I don't see this one "officially" on DVD, yet! There are people who offer it online, through other places, but please beware - it's not through the production company. Let's hope this sweet little Hallmark movie receives an official DVD release this year, it's definitely one that deserves it! :)

  9. This movie is how I discovered Hallmark was messing around with the length of their movies. I taped this one on my dvr and watched 120 minutes of adorable Christmas movie .... and then it cut off right at the best part near the end!!! Ack!! So, I quickly searched and discovered that Hallmark was playing games and I had to delete all the movies I had taped and find the 124 minute versions and re-tape them all. Oh, Hallmark, WHY??!!?! (I want to watch the Christmas Scavenger with Kevin McGarry, but I could only find the 120 minute version to tape. Hopefully when I finally watch it, I won't be screaming at Hallmark when it gets to the end! :))

At any rate, I absolutely loved this movie. (Also loved the kitchens in this movie -- I'm trying to plan a house remodel and, golly, I wish Hallmark would post photos of the sets they use so I can add them to my pinterest file!) Merritt was adorable, but the whole cast was great. I still have to re-watch the long version so I can see the whole thing and how it really ended! It just might end up on my top ten list this season. :)
