love this pairing
ReplyDeleteMe too, Denise! The pictures are all so wonderful of Rachel & Wes - they are soooo cute together! :)
DeleteI was watching H&F; Rachel Boston’s Grandma is in the movie: Check Inn Christmas
ReplyDeleteDanica McKellar’s Mom & her Son; Draco are in fad movie: Christmas at Dollywood
I love when they do that! How fun! I know Danica has included her mother & son in the background (as extras) in many of her Hallmark movies! Paul Greene's mother has also done the same thing! Wouldn't that be so fun to include your family! :)
DeleteThis was high on my "must see" list".
ReplyDeleteMaybe I expected too much from two of my favourite Hallmark actors but I really didn't feel great chemistry between them.
The movie seemed to concentrate more on the feud between the two families rather than the romance and there actually didn't seem that much animosity between them
Anonymous - I agree. I "checked out" of "Checked Inn" pretty quickly - it was mostly just dull for my taste.
ReplyDeleteI kind of agree with Anonymous and Amy, BUT, on the other hand, I ended up loving this movie! The whole plot line about the feud was rather thin and silly and lackluster. Yet, I loved the cozy, family-centered, warm-fuzzy feel of this movie. And I absolutely adore Rachel and Wes, so I would probably like any movie they're in. And I kind of liked the low-key, more realistic, aspect of their romance; I get bored/annoyed with too much of the sappy, our-shoulders-brushed-so-now-I've-got-the-tingly-shivers, look-into-my-eyes-and-see-fireworks-so-let's-get-married-immediately nonsense (I can only handle so much of that sugar-coated stuff :)).
ReplyDeleteThis movie is not going to win any awards, but it was definitely family friendly and cute.

I think this movie miscast the main actors. Not because they weren't good together but because the script seemed intended for two characters in their early twenties. For this reason the movie didn't flow as much as I would have liked!
