Trevor Donovan ("Snowcoming") and Brooke D'Orsay ("Christmas in Love") are set to star together, according to ibtimes.com, in a Hallmark Christmas movie for the 2019 Christmas season!
This year, as they mark the 10th year Anniversary of Countdown to Christmas, the Hallmark Channel plans to do the celebration up big - with 40 all new Christmas movies!
In this all new Christmas movie, titled: “The House of Wooden Santas,” Trevor Donovan will portray single father, Keith McClain, while Brooke D'Orsay will portray a business woman from New York.
Here is the storyline, provided by ibtimes.com:
“Anne Garrison (D’Orsay) seemed to have it all as a driven toy buyer in New York City, but her father’s retirement signaling the closing of the town’s beloved toy store brings the city girl back to her small town roots and perhaps her lost Christmas spirit in the process. While back in town she meets handsome widower, doting father and local mill manager, Keith McClain (Donovan). Through an unexpected turn of events Anne and Keith find themselves planning the town’s annual Christmas festivities together. How did that even happen? The way it happened doesn’t really make a difference when sparks begin to fly between them. And as Anne’s heart begins to open to Keith and the small town sentimentality that she left behind, Anne has some tough decisions to make.”
What do you think of this new Hallmark Christmas movie pairing & story?
To me, the story seems similar, sweet and classic for Hallmark, of course, but the cast is fantastic! These two - Trevor Donovan and Brooke D'Orsay - already look wonderful together, and separately, I've always enjoyed their Hallmark movies... so put these two together... and it's bound to be extra great! I mean, come on, it's Johnny Blake and Miss Christmas!!! I can't wait!
By the way, Johnny Blake is a reference to Trevor Donovan's character in the Hallmark Christmas movie, "Marry Me at Christmas," and "Miss Christmas" is a reference to the nickname/title Brooke D'Orsay's character is given in the Hallmark movie, of the same name, "Miss Christmas."
Also, this upcoming new Hallmark movie, “The House of Wooden Santas,” is based on a novel of the same name, by Kevin Major. I haven't read it, myself, but the reviews are high on Amazon; you can read them *here*.
And, I would love to hear your thoughts on this new movie. Please share in comments below.
Joyous Blessings! Net
Love Trevor!
ReplyDeleteI'm always excited to see Brooke! I think she'll forever be Miss Christmas now, which is a great label to have especially when you work for Hallmark, right?
ReplyDeleteLove this! I agree with Anonymous....Brooke will always be Miss Christmas! One of my favorites. This should be a really good movie! Great pairing!!
ReplyDeleteCute Net! I love your Johnny Blake & Miss Christmas reference. I guess only true Hallmark fans would understand.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Anonymous, Brooke is one of my favorites and I can't wait to see her in another Christmas movie. She is great. I am not familiar with Trevor, but I know Hallmark does a great job with casting, so I am sure he will be great, too. Again, can't wait. BTW, I forgot to talk to the IAWM family I watched Finding Santa on the 25th of last month. Great movie. Jodie Sweetin was great as always in it. Christmas in July is coming. So much good news.
ReplyDeleteI apologize. I forgot to add that I am Mark2 in Washington state.
