Of course, we viewers (especially Hearties!) are thrilled to see Erin Krakow will be filming a new Hallmark Christmas movie! We've seen her in many When Calls the Heart Christmas themed movies, plus the Father Christmas movies on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, and in 2014, Erin starred in her first Hallmark Channel Christmas movie, A Cookie Cutter Christmas!

She also recently filmed another Hallmark movie titled: A Summer Romance (Previously known as: Dude Ranch) with Ryan Paevey (You know him as Mr. Darcy! ...Another movie with a Jane Austen theme!). Be sure to look for that one during Hallmark's Summer Nights! Current air date being reported is August 17, 2019, but please be sure to check back for any changes/updates.

Sense, Sensibility & Snowmen is sure to have a Jane Austen theme based on the popular Austen novel, Sense & Sensibility. Last years movie, Pride, Prejudice and Mistletoe starring Lacey Chabert and Brendan Penny, was based on the book, of the same name, by Melissa de la Cruz... inspired by Jane Austen's well known novel, Pride & Prejudice.

Add this one to your Christmas Watch list and be sure to check out the Christmas in July movie schedule coming next week!

Joyous Blessings! Net

  1. I thought this when I first saw Erin's and Melissa's posts, but the first thing that jumped out at me is that they were specifically avoiding mentioning the leading man.

Sometimes fans tend to get a little impatient when they're super-excited, and they instantly start trying to get Erin or whoever else to specify who the leading man might be - but, believe me, IF she chose to NOT say his name in her post, and Melissa chose to NOT say his name, then that is for a reason. It means they are either waiting for the leading man to speak up and announce that he is in the movie himself, OR it means that the leading man has not yet been cast, OR it means they want to keep people in suspense a little longer, until the movie starts filming and there is an official press release or article about it via EW or ET or some other credible site.

Whenever key info is left OUT of someone's announcement of a movie, it's intentional. They know that everyone wants all the details, but they give the info that they can give at that moment.

    1. I was already thinking the same thing... wondering who will portray Erin's opposite in Sense, Sensibility & Snowmen. There are so many good possibilities!!! I'm kind of hoping it's not anyone we've seen with Erin before, that way this story is fresh and new... but we'll see! It could even be someone who has never been on Hallmark before.

Just like you said, we'll probably receive more details in an official press release from ET or EW, or even Southern Living, etc...

Also, if it follows the Jane Austen version - then whoever portrays her sister, might also have a major role in the film.

Hopefully... we will hear more news soon! :)

  2. I wanna see who starred in Sense, Sensibility, & Snowmen for Countdown to Christmas, if not them!!!

Erin Krakow portrayed as Elinor Dashwood
    Marla Sokoloff as Marianne Dashwood
    Jadin Gould as Margaret Dashwood
    Kevin McGarry as Edward
    Brett Dalton as Brandon
    Cameron Daddo as Mr. Dashwood
    Paige Turco as Mrs. Dashwood

    1. That's an excellent "dream" cast for the movie! I wonder if they would choose Kevin, though. It might ruin the effect of WCTH, although he would make a wonderful Edward. (Even better, much better, IMO than Hugh Grant!)

  3. Finally, Sense & Sensibility Christmas movie called; “Sense, Sensibility, & Snowmen” when I was asking about Jane Austen Christmas theme movie “Sense & Sensibility”, is finally here. I’m so exciting I can’t wait to watch “Sense, Sensibility, & Snowmen”, for Countdown to Christmas.🥰🎄

    1. Oh, I'm so glad to hear how much you are looking forward to seeing this! I am too! I'm such a fan of all versions of Jane Austen that are family friendly... and I'm sure this Hallmark version will be wonderful too! :)

  4. I can't wait, also. I really like Erin Krakow and adaptations of Jane Austen novels, so this is right at the top of my list of anticipated new Hallmark Christmas movies, Does anybody want to put forward any possible male leads for this movie? I am going to guess Cameron Mathison or David Alpay. They both have a certain degree of gravitasse about them. The 25th is coming IAWM family. Any suggestions for a movie good for a June Christmas?

    1. Mark2 - Those are wonderful suggestions for Erin Krakow's opposite in "Sense, Sensibility & Snowmen!" I'm really looking forward to this movie too!

I'll put in a few guesses, too! How about Will Kemp from Love, Romance, & Chocolate or Kristoffer Polaha from Mystery 101.

      Anyone else???

By the way, I haven't picked my June 25th "Mark the 25th" Christmas movie, yet, but I hope to do so soon! :)

    2. Will and Kris are both wonderful options. David Haydn Jones is my wish. I want to seem them together again.

  5. I hope there’s another Sense & Sensibility Christmas movie called; “Christmas at Dashwood Manor”, just like they did with “Christmas at Premberly Manor last year for Hallmark Channel Christmas movie

Pride, Prejudice, & Mistletoe and Sense & Sensibility, & Snowmen by Melissa dela Cruz

    1. Absolutely! The more the merrier. Even though, "Christmas at Premberly Manor" and "Pride, Prejudice, & Mistletoe" were based loosely on Jane Austen's Pride & Prejudice, they were both uniquely different.
