    1. Hello Susan! I feel the same way! I wish they could forever stamp us the guarantee of a new SSD movie regularly, but you're right, we will have to take it and see where this goes from here... on Hallmark Drama! If SSD is successful in boosting ratings there, then who knows what may come next!!! :)

  6. Hi Net, question, I see three aurora t. movies are scheduled, but on an instagram posting on Candace's instagram, she said they're will be FOUR movies. If they're is a forth movie, is that scheduled at a later date? Thanks for all the TCA information. I love it when that day comes, we all know we, the fans and viewers will get some great information!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I noticed that, too, Jill... especially since Candace initially said it would be 3 new Aurora movies when she first announced it on Home & Family, and then she said 4 recently on Twitter and Instagram, like you mentioned. Guess we will have to wait and see what's filming to figure out this mystery!

      Delete
    2. Candace Cameron Bure said 4 Aurora Teagarden Mysteries instead of 3

      Delete
    3. That's true, of course. However, it is curious only three Aurora movies were listed in the press release above.

My guess is.. the schedule above probably wasn't updated since the 4th movie was added, and it would be easy as can be- to add another premiere date in Sept.! :)

      Delete
    4. There's also a chance that they could film the 4th Aurora movie in 2019, but save it as a premiere for 2020. They filmed an Aurora Teagarden movie last year that is not airing until September of THIS year.

Also... This most recent Emma Fielding movie was filmed quite a while back and they saved it for 2019, as they are also doing with the first Crossword Mystery movie and the Chronicle Mysteries movies that were filmed last year. Hallmark banked all of them and saved them for 2019.

In other words, just because 4 movies are supposedly coming up (a plan which could change, by the way), it doesn't necessarily mean that the 4th one is airing in September. They *could* save it for next year and just stick to premiering 3 of the movies in September.

      Delete
    5. That is an excellent point. I have also noticed the time between a movie filming and premiering on TV has been changing. In the past, the turn around has often been remarkably fast, but it seems now they are planning and filming more and more of these movies in advance.

It is quite possible they could be saving the "fourth movie" for a later time - into 2020!

"Love Under the Rainbow" actually filmed last year, in March, 2018 - and now, we will finally be seeing it a year later- this March!

Anything is Possible! Thank you so much for sharing! :)

      Delete
    6. "Winter Castle" too!! That's another one that was filmed way back in March 2018, but didn't make it to the Hallmark Channel until this year!

"Royal Hearts" was another one with a big gap of time in between the production (mid-summer 2017) and the premiere (February 2018).

Yes, it definitely seems as though they are planning and filming many more movies in advance than they used to -- AND they are also branching out to different locations more often now too, and not only staying in Canada, Utah and Romania. I suppose that's probably going to be the case going forward, if Hallmark continues to increase the number of movies they make (of all themes) every year.

      Delete
  7. All I can say is...WOW!! So much good news...spin-offs, Christmas news, mysteries galore, new season event, and, best of all, more SSD!! It's going to be a fun year to be a Hallmark fan!

I wish other networks could see how much their wholesome movies/shows are loved and copy their winning formula. But...., even if they don't, I'm still so grateful we have Hallmark! :)

Thank you, Amy, for sharing the JOY!!!

      Delete
    3. I know, it's been a long time coming since we received this initial news on SSD, but I can reassure you - there is a new "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" movie coming in 2020 on Hallmark Drama!

Hallmark announced this news, again, at the Summer TCA event in a special press release. See here! Plus, the main cast was there to celebrate and promote it, once again. SSD is definitely coming! We just have to "trust the timing!"

    4. Will SSD be a strictly Hallmark Dama franchise now? I don't have the drama channel and it cost way too muc to add only that channel. I hope the move doesn't negatively affect ratings. I'm sure it was a strategic move because of the very loyal fan base, who they hope will make the move with their show.

  9. Sorry to see SSD moving to Hallmark Drama. My wife and I have watched it from the beginning when it was weekly and have looked forward to every new episode. 1. Thank you for commenting. I know this is quite hard on those who pay a lot for their cable already. Fortunately, for DirecTV users, like myself, they added the Hallmark Drama station to the package that already carries Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. Thankfully, we didn't have to pay more for it when it was added, but our prices are already mighty high. I absolutely understand your dilemma.
