Facing incredible odds against finding a donor, she’s shocked when a stranger, Chris Dempsey, volunteers to donate half his liver to her. As Heather and Chris get to know one another and their families before and after the transplant, they form a deep connection and begin to wonder if the closeness they feel goes beyond the special connection between organ donor and recipient. 1. Once Upon a Christmas Miracle is based on true story of Chris & Heather K. Dempsey. They're married in real life. Chris donors his liver to Heather & she donors her heart to him. I’m reading their stories on the articles.

Aimee Teegarden will be on Home & Family with real life Chris & Heather Dempsey tomorrow morning.

    1. I loved this movie, too.

Did anyone else notice that the writers included a 'connection' scene for Heather and Chris while waiting for his drink? This was before the donor situation was presented.

    1. Maria, I've noticed that you're watching some good older movies. You're making me want to pull out my dvd's instead of watching current movies! After seeing you mention "A Song for Christmas", I think I'm especially needing to watch a Kevin McGarry movie because he's such a cutie patootie!!
