New Expanded Programming Event Gets Viewers Ready for the Biggest Holiday Stunt on Television, Freeform's '25 Days of Christmas'
As the Halloween season comes to a close, Freeform will continue to be the home for all holiday programming as the brand-new "Kickoff To Christmas" programming event starts on NOV. 1. Adding a month full of holiday fun, the programming event will also include the premiere of the Freeform original film "The Truth About Christmas," from MarVista Entertainment, airing SUNDAY, NOV. 25 at 9:00-11:00 p.m. EST/PST.
In "The Truth About Christmas," Kali Hawk ("New Girl") stars as Jillian, a successful political consultant confident in her ability to put a spin on anything, whose next big project is the upcoming mayoral campaign for her boyfriend George (Damon Dayoub, Freeform's "Stitchers"). On the way to meet George's family for the first time during the holidays, an unusual confrontation with a toy store Santa results in a drastic change in Jillian where she can't stop herself from wildly spilling the truth. Ali Ghandour (Freeform's "Alone Together") co-stars as George's brother Blake, who believes you should always be true to yourself but thinks Jillian just might be losing it. Jillian must find a way to make it stop before her holidays, her job and her relationship are ruined.

----- END of Press Release -----
I hope you enjoyed seeing this press release from Freeform promoting their November Holiday slate for 2018. As I mentioned above, not all films listed here are family-friendly or endorsed by It's a Wonderful Movie. Please always check ratings before viewing. At this time, I do not know what the new Freeform Original Film Premiere, "The Truth About Christmas," will be rated.
It is, however, fun to see in this Freeform "Kick Off to Christmas" many delightful Christmas movies, such as: "The Santa Clause," "I'll Be Home for Christmas" (1998), "Snow," "12 Dates of Christmas," "Christmas with the Kranks," and others!
Like many of you, I search each and every year for "The Christmas List" (aka: The Perfume Lady, with Mimi Rogers) and "Christmas Everyday" (Erik Von Detten). I guess we'll have to wait and see if they make Freeform's December schedule! Still hoping!
Since AMC has acquired rights to many of Freeform's past typical holiday features, like "Elf," "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation," and "Polar Express"... plus some of the Rankin Bass classic cartoons, Freeform will surely look different this year for their annual "25 Days of Christmas," which is yet to be revealed! To be continued....!
Have a Merry, Joyous Day! Blessings to You All! Net

It always a disappointment over the years that Freeform doesn't air Christmas List or Christmas Everyday, but I'm lucky enough to watch Christmas Everyday on, Comcast On Demand via Freeform (for free), and I always check if Christmas List is on demand too, but it hasn't yet. Net, you might want to point out to your fellow readers, who have Comcast, to check On Demand for those titles, Comcast/Freeform usually adds Christmas Everyday at the end of November, beginning of December. I don't know Freeform will continue to show Christmas Everyday on demand this year, I'm crossing my fingers that it will happen.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jill, for sharing that info! That is wonderful news for those here, like you, who have Comcast! I sure hope they give you "Christmas Everyday" again this year and maybe some other great surprises! Please keep us posted! Would love to know!

The Christmas List with Mimi Rogers and Borrowed Hearts with Roma Downey were my favorite TV Christmas movies when I was growing up. I love watching all of the new movies out there but these two movies never get old watching during the Christmas season :)
ReplyDeleteI agree, Erin! Those two (The Christmas List and Borrowed Hearts) will always be favorites of mine, as well! I also grew up watching them! I sure wish another network would pick them up and give a whole new generation an appreciation for these beautiful films! :)

You can watch The Christmas List ... complete ... no commercials ... on YouTube. Comcast lists YouTube under APPS so it’s easy to access..
ReplyDeleteBorrowed Hearts, the uncut version, is listed is well. The video quality isn’t the best. Audio is fine.
Thank you for sharing this Christmas movie news, Joyeux Noel! I love to see what Christmas treasures can be discovered on YouTube. I appreciate you letting us know.
