On this "Mark the 25th" ... TWO MONTHS 'til CHRISTMAS... it's the eve of Hallmark Christmas movies beginning officially tomorrow on the Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries! However, we actually have some Christmas options we can watch on TV tonight!
First, the Hallmark Channel will be replaying both "Hallmark Christmas Preview Specials" hosted by Kellie Pickler and Candace Cameron Bure!
October 25, 2018 - Thursday:
Hallmark Channel "Countdown to Christmas" Preview Special hosted by Kellie Pickler ... Hallmark Channel ... 8 PM
2018 Miracles of Christmas Preview Special hosted by Candace Cameron Bure ... Hallmark Channel ... 9 PM
Murder, She Baked: A Plum Pudding Mystery ... HMM ... 9 PM

And, as you see listed above, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries is playing on October 25th - the Christmas themed "Murder, She Baked" movie... "Murder, She Baked: A Plum Pudding Mystery," starring Alison Sweeney, Cameron Mathison, Gabriel Hogan, Barbara Niven, and Lisa Durupt! This is such a great holiday mystery movie! (I sure wish they would do more of their regular Hallmark mysteries during the holidays, like they did with this "MSB" movie and "Signed, Sealed, Delivered: For Christmas!")
Also, in the Christmas Preview Specials... Kellie Pickler will highlight various Christmas movies coming this Holiday season to the Hallmark Channel, and Candace Cameron Bure does the same with Hallmark Movies & Mysteries! It's a delightful taste of the feast to come!
So... there are some great choices to get you into the festive spirit on the 25th! You can choose those and/or something else too!
For me personally... I'm watching the Christmas preview specials (missed Kellie Pickler during our power outage over the weekend!), and I'm hoping to play another Christmas movie from my DVD collection. My first thought was "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!" The title alone seems ideal for this day... plus, I love that movie so much, but it's going to be on TV rather soon, October 27th at 12 midnight on the Hallmark Channel! Therefore, I have decided to wait for that one and hopefully stay up to watch some of it! Back to the drawing board... so to speak!
The movie I decided upon to "Mark the 25th" as we Countdown to Christmas is... (drumroll please!)
"A Season for Miracles"

The title, "A Season for Miracles," instantly struck a chord in my heart, and since this cherished, instant classic Hallmark Hall of Fame movie is no longer played on either Hallmark channel during the holidays, I figured it would be refreshing to see it once again. I also felt inspired by Hallmark Movies & Mysteries new 2018 tag line, "Miracles of Christmas."
When Emily and her niece and nephew in "A Season for Miracles" find themselves on the run, they discover the love and care of strangers in a small town called Bethlehem and the divine intervention of an Angel!
Please share what you're watching to "Mark the 25th" below! Happy Eve of Hallmark Christmas movies beginning tomorrow! Be sure to check the Christmas TV Schedule for all your holiday movie favorites!
Joyous Blessings to you all!
I pray it's "A Season for Miracles!" Net

Christmas is Coming!!!
I have to say, these preview specials are really bad! So rigid...
ReplyDeleteOh, I enjoy the Christmas specials, BUT I'm one who doesn't want to spoil any of the story, so I kind of watch carefully... sometimes fast-forwarding the longer scenes that are previewed!!! (Anyone else do that?)
DeleteI do remember thinking last year after watching one of the scenes previewed, that a particular movie looked kind of dull, but I watched it completely during the Christmas season, and I enjoyed it very much...and that scene, too, was good in it's proper context.
Blessings! Net
I always try to see if I can remember the particular scene when I watch the movie from the preview. I always forget and by the end of the movie I am like "hey I don't remember the scene from the preview". I did remember the scene from Love, Of Course, when they were pumpkin bowling, and when that scene came on I was like "yay I remember" and also the scene when he brings her the soup. But there were so many Christmas previews, I am sure I wont remember.
DeleteT-minus 24 and a half hours, whooo hooo.
Hi Sabrina! Thanks for the sharing the Christmas movie excitement! I see you are counting down the hours too! So fun, isn't it!
DeleteAs for the previews, I have the reverse problem... I remember all too well. And sometimes it's not just the previews that can say too much... sometimes pictures can do that, as well. Especially if we're wondering who might get together in the movie, the posters often reveal that! Two examples are "My Christmas Love" with Meredith Hagner and Danica McKellar's "Coming Home for Christmas."
Anyway, I'm always still excited no matter how much info spills out! Again, thanks for sharing! :)
Blessings! Net
I’m so excited for tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteToday I will be watching moonlight and mistletoe!!!
Have you heard anything about the new countdown to Christmas app?
Wonderful Christmas movie choice, Trevino Family, for Mark the 25th! That's Candace's first Hallmark Christmas movie from 2008... 10 years ago! I still love her in it, too, and her hair is so beautiful! The best part is when everyone works together to try and save Santaville!
DeleteAs for the new Hallmark App...
The app will give users the ability to create reminders, watch trailers, and keep track of all the holiday goodness Hallmark has to offer. Both digital installments will be available on both iOS and Android devices beginning October 26th. (info via Southern Living)
Thank you for joining along with the *It's a Wonderful Movie* family and Marking the 25th - as we Countdown to Christmas!

How come Hallmark hasn't aired "Fallen Angel" (Hallmark Hall of Fame)? Starring Gary Sinise & Joely Richardson
ReplyDeleteI watched this movie on Countdown to Christmas every years but hadn't air since
I haven't searched the complete listings on Hallmark Movies Now, but I suspect this movie, along with other past Hallmark Hall of a Fame movies, will most likely only be available on DVD or on their streaming service, again, this year.
Delete"Fallen Angel" is such a beautiful, heartwarming film. I, too, miss seeing it on TV during the holiday season.
Blessings, Net
I'm sad A Season for Miracles isn't going to be shown at all! It's such a gem of a movie.
ReplyDeleteSo far it doesn't appear to be playing again this year. It may be on Hallmark's streaming service.

Oh, yes, Net, I too will be watching "A Season For Miracles". I bought this movie so long ago and loved every second of it. What a wonderful choice since I don't see it air as often as it used to. So sad we no longer have Vanessa or Patty with us....Happy 25th viewing!!
ReplyDeleteOh, thank you for sharing, Linda. It is bittersweet to watch dear Vanessa and Patty; they were both such great character actresses. I'm so glad to know you are joining me in watching this beloved film. Don't forget the tissues, especially when the little boy speaks again. Such a heartwarming moment.
DeleteI, too, have had my DVD for years. I may have purchased it at our local Hallmark, which is sadly no longer there.
Thank you for sharing... enjoy watching once again!
Blessings, Net
Ohhhhhhhh, need to make a correction, Net. It was Lynn Redgrave who passed away not Vanessa. I always got those two sisters mixed up even though they had two distinct opposite personalities.
DeleteWhat's about Renaissance Faire; Hallmark could make a movie about VIP party for Renaissance Faire about people dressed up in costumes?
ReplyDeleteI'm watching Cupcake Wars about making cupcakes at the VIP Party for Renaissance Faire
That's an interesting idea, especially for a Fall Harvest movie!

Oh my goodness...someone pinch me! I can't believe it is already here...I am going to enjoy every moment of the Most Wonderful Time of the Year and rejoice in the Savior's Birth!!!! I will be visiting your blog everyday and probably more then once! Thank you for keeping us up to date on everything Christmas!
ReplyDeleteAwe, that is soooo sweet! I said the very same thing! I can hardly believe it's possible that the Christmas movies return tomorrow! What a joy knowing you are also rejoicing in the True Meaning of Christmas... the birth of our Savior, Jesus!
DeleteThank you for this beautiful, meaningful message!
Blessings, Net
Net: Without a doubt my favorite HOF Christmas movie of all Time is " Season of Miracles". I watch it without fail every season. Looking forward to tomorrow's start, and as always. Thanks for all that you do for us.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Joe! I'm so glad to hear how much you enjoy this film, as well! It first premiered in 1999! Oh my!
DeleteI'm so glad to know it continues touch your heart, as it does mine, every Christmas season!
Blessings, Net
Hello Jim! I'm glad to hear how ready and eager you are for all the Christmas movies to begin! It's such a glorious time of year!
ReplyDeletePlus, I know just what you mean about enjoying the backgrounds. Often I'll be busy about my day and a movie is on... and then I'll hear a familiar Christmas Carol which uplifts my spirit and I begin to sing along.
Isn't it wonderful to know all of the *It's a Wonderful Movie* family will be watching Christmas movies together once again! The couch gets fuller ever year!
Blessings, Net
(Santa and all the Christmas Joy and Wonder is coming!!!)
Count me among the lot that is disappointed that they no longer air "Season of Miracles." They also won't be airing "Fallen Angel" or "A Dog Named Christmas." It's odd to me because all three are under the Hallmark Hall of Fame banner. I know they're older but they still find time to air movies like, "A Carol Christmas", "Ms. Scrooge", "Once Upon a Christmas", etc. that are all older.
ReplyDeleteConsidering the fact that the last few Christmas Hallmark Hall of Fame offerings have been shockingly unspectacular, it would be nice if they would air some of the older ones.
Hi Net, I'll be joining you and watching Kellie's preview shows tonight since I also missed it the first go-around! And then tomorrow...off we go! Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteMark25
Wasn't weird at all Jim...beautifully said!
ReplyDeleteI'm being lazy tonight and watching HMM " A Plum Pudding Mystery". It is my favorite along side the last one of the MSB series.
Blessings to all that visit here and a very special thank you to you Net!
A Season for Miracles is one of my all time favs! I just wish that the first movie was on a Saturday...I hope people tune in for the first one.
ReplyDeleteMisty
I love this time of year! I really enjoy your blog Net! You keep us posted with all the listing and descriptions of the holiday movies!
