PLOT:
Storyline via Hallmark: Kelly, a hopeless romantic in Montana eager to finish her dissertation, and her father, Hank, a rancher, receive news that he has inherited an estate from a faraway land. When they travel there, they discover that Hank has not only inherited the estate, but the title that goes along with it – KING!

Enjoyable movie.Loved the locations and thought it was great to add the cute Andrew Cooper to the Hallmark stable of likeable actors. Loved the chemistry between him and the lovely Cindy Busby. And James Brolin was James Brolin. :D
ReplyDeleteI sooo want to love this but personally it was just alright. For some reason, I was not totally sold on the chemistry between the two leads although Cindy Busby and Andrew Cooper did great individually. I did enjoy the father-daughter dynamic. James Brolin brought his own flair to this Hallmark movie and made it funny, entertaining and overall quite enjoyable.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, CH Mom, I was so excited to see this movie because the synopsis sounded different from other “royal” movies that Hallmark has created in the past. For me, this was the most disappointing Hallmark movie of 2018 (so far). However, I thought that the character of Hank (as well as his story) and James Brolin’s performance were the best parts of this film! To me, Hank is one of the best characters in Hallmark movie history! He reminded me, to a certain extent, of Moon from Cedar Cove.

ReplyDeleteFunny and played well with Cindy as his daughter. The new male star, Andrew Cooper, will be a fine addition to the male actors. Cindy and Andrew had good chemistry between them, and here’s hoping
they do a sequel, A Royal Cowboy Wedding,
that would be delightful.
Liked this movie......not a James Brolin fan BUT he did a GREAT job in this role! I like the idea of a 'sequel' also!!
