    2. I love Hallmark. In fact I wouldn't even have a TV without the Hallmark Channel. Both Ryan and Jen are favorites of mine; however, I felt Jen's character was a little too "school girlish". She giggled, smiled and snickered throughout the entire film and appeared to be able to "eat Will up" from the first moment she met him (not that I wouldn't have done the same thing haha!) Her character doesn't fit the persona of someone who has spent the last ten plus grueling years of her life sacrificing her personal life and sleep, studying, concentrating on learning to focus, dedicating herself to establishing her career path as a surgeon in a large hospital. Believe me, I have been in nursing for 44 years and I KNOW how this job affects the physician. Personally I would have expected her to be a little more resistant to Ryan's good looks and charm because of her work schedule and wanting to spend more time with her son, being a better mother and more present in the life of her son. I understand that these two characters are playing off of each other, but I anticipated more of an "A-Ha! " moment when their eyes met, with fireworks exploding, and the realization that her career should no longer take priority in her life. In other words it was hard to identify with any of the characters in this movie because there was no STRESS, no Financial struggles, no having to make serious choices like abandoning one romantic interest for another! Luna made the decision too quickly to leave an affluential position as a surgeon in a large Hospital to become a general practitioner in a small town (for which she had been "called out" and reminded that she was NOT a general practitioner). And I really couldn't understand what was going on in Will's life.... A scientist relying so heavily on and becoming so invested in winning a little local pear judging contest...?... I just didn't understand...his being seen by Luna wearing a suit and conversing with two professional-looking men in town then glazing over Luna's questions. Im guessing that there wasn't enough time two expand on the pear/ apple deal. Now THAT would have been interesting!!
I LOOOVE Hallmark movies as well as the HMM programming, but the story lines are becoming too redundant and this particular film just had no real "meat" to it. It didn't really evoke any kind of emotion in me one way or the other. Please don't misunderstand I loved the idea behind the storyline, but I've just seen it... several times. I only wish there had been more to the content. Respectfully, a dedicated fan and supporter

    3. I tend to agree with most of your observations - however Ryan is such a cutie pie its hard not to just be happy watching his every move. Jen - while a cutie was too giggly for my tastes as well. Nonetheless, I have it saved and if I could find it for sale, would still buy it.

  5. Are there any new movies before Fall Harvest this September?

    1. No, there aren't any NEW Original Movies from Hallmark until Fall Harvest begins on September 23rd with "Falling for Vermont."

It is a little stretch with no new movies, but I think they gave everyone a break for Labor Day, etc...

    1. Oh no! Sorry to hear you are not receiving the emails. Have you checked your spam folder? Sometimes they can end up there and then you mark it as NOT SPAM and then, hopefully, future emails will not be sent there.

Otherwise, feel free to try and sign up again or maybe, could you try another email address? I have checked with others and they have all said they are still receiving them.

I so appreciate your interest! :)

  8. Pretty people, pretty setting, pretty stodgy story development, pretty predictable.
