Season 2 - Episode 1 - Secrets, Lies, and School Supplies: As Abby and the rest of the O’Briens prepare for the town’s annual lantern festival, Trace returns to Nashville to face a past mistake. Mick takes his granddaughters backto-school shopping while covertly working on a business deal bound to cause family conflict. Jess is overwhelmed by both a busy weekend at her bed and breakfast and the news that her long-estranged mother Megan has returned to town for good. Amidst the small town celebration, Bree must decide if she will move back to Chicago to produce her play. As the festival nears, Trace and each of the O’Briens attempt to put their own challenges aside so four generations of O’Briens—including grandma Nell—can come together for the lantern festival.

Season 2 - Episode 2 - Pasts and Presents: Despite guidance from Nell, Mick makes some unpopular business decisions when he plans to sell the nightclub that he and Trace are building together, and puts a reluctant Abby in charge of a development project steeped in unresolved family conflicts. When planning her cousin’s wedding goes awry, Jess turns to an unexpected source—her mother, Megan—for help. In Chicago, Bree fights to regain control of the production of her play. Kevin must work through difficult memories from his deployment when faced with a life-and-death situation. An O’Brien family wedding has some unexpected tension when Mick is confronted by an adversary from his past.

Season 2 - Episode 3 - Photographs and Memories: As Abby sends her girls off to their first day at a new school, conflict arises between Trace and Wes about their roles in the family—complicated further by a Nashville recording label taking interest in Trace’s new demo with Leigh. The O’Brien siblings reminisce watching home movies shot by Megan, but these movies leave Jess feeling left out and angry at her mother for leaving when she was young. Nell helps Connor dress professionally for his new career, but struggles to prevent Mick from butting heads with his brother Thomas over family land. Like the rest of the family, Bree and Kevin attempt to bid farewell to their pasts to make way for future opportunities.

Season 2 - Episode 4 - It’s Always Nashville: Trace heads to Nashville to record an album with Leigh, but has trouble channeling creative inspiration while he is away from Abby. A well-intentioned Jess creates trouble for Bree when she advertises that a famous author will attend a book reading at Bree’s new bookstore. Ready to move on from his past relationship, Kevin tries to impress a free spirited firefighter on their first date. As Mick continues his controversial plans to develop family land, Nell attempts to have him reconcile with his brother, Thomas.

Season 2 - Episode 5 - Buried Treasures: Bree and Kevin hunt for a family time capsule in the backyard when Nell finds a treasure map that Bree made as a teen. While Trace is in Nashville fighting to have Leigh included on an upcoming album at the risk of his own career, Abby meets a handsome widower in the PTA. At her bed and breakfast, Jess deals with a high maintenance customer, and gets more than she bargains for when his true identity is revealed. Mick and Thomas continue to spar over a family land development deal, never seeing eye-to-eye about the past or the future. Megan reconnects with the family by giving Connor dating advice and tutoring her granddaughters.

Season 2 - Episode 6 - Grand Openings: As their nightclub opening nears, Trace spends late nights practicing with Leigh and his band, while Mick fights city hall to receive a live music permit. Abby receives a promotion at work, but it leaves her with less time to spend with the family and Trace. Frustrated with her own work prospects, Megan receives an endorsement from an unexpected ally. Jess begins to develop feelings for David, while a famous author surprises Bree at her bookstore. Connor reconnects with his former flame Danielle, and Kevin has eyes for a free-spirited firefighter. Sensing romance in the air, Nell hosts a dinner for her grandchildren and their new love interests.

Season 2 - Episode 7 - All of Our Yesterdays: Overloaded with their careers, both Trace and Abby try to find time to spend with one another and their families. Mick receives damaging information about Thomas, and considers whether to use it in their town hall debate over the family land trust. Jess plans a special meal to win David over, but is fearful to take the next step in their relationship. Just like Jess, Bree is afraid to move forward with her new admirer. Connor and Kevin both contemplate their careers, concerned they may be headed down the wrong paths. On advice from Nell, Megan tells her children the real reason she left for New York years ago.

Season 2 - Episode 8 - Forest Through the Trees: Away from the distraction of technology, Abby and Trace talk about their past and the future during a camping getaway. With some encouragement from Nell, Mick and Thomas try to work out their differences in person. Bree has trouble resisting the charms of her new suitor that Megan invited to town, and spends some time getting to know him. After a recent kiss, Jess grapples with her feelings toward David, afraid that pursuing romance will ruin their friendship. Kevin also faces uncertainty about his new romance when a loss from her past brings up difficult memories from his own. A newly unemployed Connor receives a work offer from a surprising source.

Season 2 - Episode 9 - The Royal Court: After his band’s music video goes viral, Trace receives offers from music executives, but tries to convince his band to give Mark Hall another shot. Abby, Nell, and Megan spend some family time together preparing a princess birthday party for Carrie. During a trip to visit one of his fallen army friend’s mother, Bree helps Kevin find inspiration to follow his passion. Watching the shop in Bree’s absence, Jess discovers that running a bookstore is not as easy as she thought. Connor turns to Danielle when he finds his career direction shifting. Mick must seek out a new investor after his refusal to use incriminating information against his brother, Thomas, causes his old investor to pull out of the development deal.

Season 2 - Episode 10 - Freefall: After The Trace Riley Band is offered a worldwide tour deal from Mark Hall, Trace and Abby worry about how it might impact their future together. As Nell ponders a lost love from her past, Abby, Jess, and Bree are faced with the possibility of losing their new loves in the present, and turn to one another for the strength and support that only sisters can provide. Kevin reconnects with his firefighter flame as they prepare for the art fair that Megan organized. Mick explores a land development partnership with Douglas while adjusting to the news that Connor has been working for his brother, Thomas.

  1. I just love this show. If you have Directv, they do have all of season 1 on the app to watch. It is probably also on the On Demand, I don't have that though. If you didn't see season 1, you can watch it. I love this cast, I have read all the books and they got good Hallmark actors to play the parts. Such a great show :)

  2. I just love this show - it's so bright and light and beautifully located and filmed.

Funny about the new photo of the cast (the first picture above,) is that some of them are so glammed up that I didn't recognize them at first. :)

  5. Excellent show. I just saw season 1 and part of season 2. I'll be sad when it finishes. I would give anything to live there. Pity family issues can't be resolved as easily as they are on shows.
