STUDIO CITY, CA – March 20, 2017 -- Hallmark Movies & Mysteries announces the start of production on “Love Finds Its Way,” a two-hour Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Original World Premiere, shooting in Vancouver and set to premiere exclusively on the network, Sunday, July 9 (9 p.m. ET/PT) as part of the network’s highly-rated GOLD CROWN CHRISTMAS franchise. Catherine Bell (“Good Witch”) executive produces and stars in “Love Finds Its Way,” which also co-stars Victor Webster (“Girlfriends Guide to Divorce”). “Love Finds Its Way” is part of Hallmark Movie & Mysteries’ GOLD CROWN CHRISTMAS, a top-rated, annual July programming event on the network.
“Catherine Bell is so beloved by our viewers who through her ‘Good Witch’ series and original movies has created a character who feels like everyone’s own personal good luck charm,” said Michelle Vicary, Executive Vice President, Programming and Publicity, Crown Media Family Networks. “Now Catherine does double duty as executive producer and star on ‘Love Finds Its Way,’ a coming of age drama about a mother and daughter trying to grow up without coming apart and about taking chances neither could have imagined,” concluded Vicary.
In “Love Finds Its Way,” Jane Evans is a single mother dead set on protecting her teenage daughter Betsy from the harsh realities of life. When Betsy falls in love with an enlisted man, Jane tries her best to steer Betsy away from heartache. Little does Jane realize she and her daughter are about to learn important lessons of the heart and that taking chances can sometimes lead to the most extraordinary happy endings.
“Love Finds Its Way” is executive produced by Catherine Bell, David O’Donnell and Jennifer Aspen. Gary Harvey directs from a screenplay written by David Golden. Production services by Kim Arnott and Two 4 The Money Media, Inc.
My *Quick* Take...
How EXCITING to see HALLMARK MOVIES & MYSTERIES is creating something NEW this Year for their GOLD CROWN CHRISTMAS WEEK - in JULY!!! Isn't this wonderful news!?!?! Plus, both CATHERINE BELL AND VICTOR WEBSTER are regular members of the Hallmark movie family. It is interesting to me, though-- (and maybe, you too!) that neither the title or the story sound very Christmassy. Hmmmm??? That is something to ponder as we look forward to this new movie!!!
I had a feeling that HMM might premiere a new Christmas movie in July this time around. This one doesn't sound Christmasy at all -- not just in title, but in tone/plot. I guess it can get a title change and suddenly become... "Love Finds Its Way to Christmas" or whatever.
ReplyDeleteI also had a feeling we would see Victor in something else Hallmark-ish this year, but in my mind I did not connect him to this movie in any way. I figured he might pop up in another Summer Nights movie or something.
Interesting news all around!

ReplyDeleteThis is what I was going to ask Net. Is this a Christmas movie or just a regular movie thrown in with other Christmas movies in Christmas in July? I guess we don't know the answer to that yet.
YAY! Gotta love the idea of all these new films. Since Catherine and Victor are both favorite actors, I'm looking forward to this new story in which they co-star. Also, PixL's Hometown Hero sounds good too, and I still remember Brooke from Hallmark's 'Dance at my Wedding' so that'll be fun seeing her in something in addition to her other Hallmark romances. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for all of the updates. :)
ReplyDeleteLove Finds Its Way Starring Catherine Bell Starts Filming in Vancouver Area
This week, Hallmark TV movie Love Finds Its Way with Catherine Bell, as well as TV pilots Wisdom of the Crowd with Jeremy Piven and The Good Doctor with Freddie Highmore start filming in Vancouver and area.
Love Finds Its Way (Hallmark TV Movie)
After just wrapping up filming a Hallmark Christmas movie called 12 Days in the Vancouver area last week, actress Catherine Bell (Good Witch, JAG) is already onto the next one. After a brief weekend away, she’s back in Vancouver to star in another TV movie called Love Finds Its Way.
The story of Love Finds Its Way was created by Jennifer Aspen, who will serve as executive producer. Although this is the first producing credit for Jennifer, she’s also an actress, well known for roles on Glee, GCB, Rodney and Party of Five. Jennifer’s husband, David O’Donnell will also be executive producing the movie.
According to a press release from Hallmark, Catherine will play a single mother named Jane Evans. Jane is determined to shelter her daughter Betsy from the real world, and in particular, love. When Betsy falls in love with an enlisted man, Jane does everything she can to protect her daughter’s heart. Somewhere along the way, both Jane and Betsy discover that sometimes taking the biggest risks can result in the biggest rewards.
Vancouver’s own Matreya Fedor will play Betsy Evans. Hallmark fans will recognize Matreya from her portrayal of Allison Weston on Cedar Cove, but she’s also well known for her role as Echo on the YTV series Mr. Young. In 2015 she appeared alongside Bella Thorne and Ross Butler in Perfect High. Catherine and Matreya will be joined by Victor Webster (Continuum).
Love Finds Its Way will be filming in Vancouver and British Columbia until April 7th.

I can't wait to see Victor Webster in a new movie. I was so hoping that they would do a follow-up movie to Summer Villa.
ReplyDeleteHe and Hilarie Burton have such great chemistry on the screen!

It is at least partially set during the holidays (though it doesn't sound like it to any of us!). I saw a photo on social media, of a Christmas-decorated filming location. Maybe a portion of the movie includes the holiday season?

While I am very happy that Catherine is starring in another Hallmark movie and I enjoy Victor as well, I am saddened in the same fashion. 1) I don't get movies and mysteries 2) The casters at hallmark still haven't realized the phenomenal chemistry that Catherine Bell and David James Elliott had enough to reunite them in a love story!
