I loved Jen on GH
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen Peri Gilpin since Frasier. She still looks great!
ReplyDeletePeri Gilpin was in CSI as Barbara Russell; she's DB's Wife
DeleteIt's so good to see you Peri in so many shows. You're just as beautiful as you were in Frazier. I'm enjoying the Hallmark movie.
DeleteI see Brendan Penny is in this, the military brother from CS. Hallmark's pretty smart to spread these Chesapeake Shores actors around to different projects. Much like When Calls the Heart fans always following their actors around in their other projects. Will the CS fans be as faithful to follow their actors wherever they go? My guess is yes, my wife is already crazy over the series.
ReplyDeleteWish Hallmark Channel would put the recipes from the show on this site. Peanut butter and ice cream cones ... very interesting!
ReplyDeleteYet another good Hallmark Valentine's movie
ReplyDelete👍👍
I really liked this one. In fact, I think it's my favorite of 2017 so far. I've realized my favorites are always the ones that show both the woman's and the guy's points of view, as opposed to the ones where the guy is just sort of an "add-on" to the woman's story and is only on-screen when she is. I also really appreciated that Nikki was self-taught. I'm a big believer in the merits of non-traditional education and career paths, so it was really nice to see that portrayed positively.
ReplyDeleteMe too, Amy; I like seeing both points of view as well. It seems that the emphasis is on the woman a lot of the time. It makes me feel bad for the guys...no fun being "left out in the cold." "While you were dating" also featured both points of view...maybe you'll like it too. :)
DeleteA dash of love was amazing!!! Definitely beyond the regular Hallmark movies offering. The casts were perfect, great acting and great chemistry! Unique story and refreshing dialogue. Truly love and enjoy this one!
ReplyDeleteOh Hallmark, you truly hit a jackpot with this one! I love, love it! Perfect valentines watch. It has all the feels! Chemistry was off the chart. Jen Lilley was just amazing here. Her character's quirkiness and strong spirit really shows through. My favorite scene was when she confronted Holly at the end that she could steal her recipes but not her spirit. Brendan Penny was also amazing! A+++ in my books and definitely will watch over and over!
ReplyDeleteA good example of why not to prejudge a Hallmark movie.
ReplyDeleteThe plot sounded as if the romance might be quite mundane but in the event it was an engrossing and original offering.
I've liked all the three Brendan Penny Hallmark movies so far and he and Jen Liily were perfect together with superb chemistry between them.
The sub-plot of Paul's estrangement from his father added an extra dimension.
The one downside for me was the rather abrupt ending which is so often the case with Hallmark although it has been more pro-active in this respect recently.
It really needed a short epilogue (and it would only take a minute or 90 seconds screen time)say 6 months or a year down the line similar to Pumpkin Pie Wars.
Even so I really enjoyed this - much the best offering yet in 2017.
I loooooove this Hallmark Movie. Great and refreshing storyline, setting was perfect and the onscreen chemistry between the main lead casts(Brendan Penny, Jen Lilly) was superb. Since its airdate, i have watched repeatedly. Hallmark has scored another one with this movie production
ReplyDeletewhat is the name of the song in the middle of the movie?
ReplyDeleteWhat is the name of the song at the beginning of the movie "A Dash of Love" at Gus's farewell party? It starts off with a catchy piano intro and then the words: "You make me happy, there's nowhere I'd rather be"... I hope I got the stanza correct!.
ReplyDeleteI wish it was possible to read the songs played in the movie like a soundtrack. If they are listed in the credits, they scroll too fast and too small at the end of the movie. Please put a credits list online.
ReplyDeleteJust watching this movie in 2024. Does anyone know the song at around 36mins? There are only 3 songs in the end credits and that song isn't one of them - can't find it anywhere!
