  2. Looking forward to "I'll Be Home for Christmas". Saw an interview with James Brolin this morning on The Today Show (the Kathie Lee and Hoda hour) and he said that two songs from Barbra Streisand (Jingle Bells and I'll Be Home for Christmas) will be featured in the movie. Lucky for the movie, he says, that she rarely, if ever lets her music be featured in movies.

I heard a bit of the "I'll Be Home for Christmas" track that they're using, and it is quite lovely.

I guess it helps to be married to a legendary icon! If James were not her husband, I'm not certain that Hallmark would have been able to secure her music, as she either would have said no OR what they would have to pay to get the songs would have been exorbitant.

  3. I was looking so forward to seeing this movie. I recorded it to watch later but unfortunately, for some reason, it didn't. Will it by chance air again before Christmas? If not, is it available for purchase? Thank you.

  4. Just caught this for the first time last night. James Brolin is a natural as a gruff but loving Grandpa, similar to the role he played in "Christmas with Tucker" (and similar to the Grandpa I was blessed with!) And the little girl was incredible; I'm sure we'll be seeing her career blossom in the future!

  5. I wanted to like this one, but I just didn't find Jackie a very likable character. I enjoyed the scenes with the grandpa (James Brolin) and the little girl and the dog. Loved John Reardon's character, but he wasn't in it a lot.
