If you watched the premiere of "Chesapeake Shores" as Trace (Jesse Metcalfe) convinced Abby (Meghan Ory) to let go and jump in the water, basically pulling her in, with his charm. Did "Chesapeake Shores" do the same for you... did it Pull You in?

Didn't see it, but I plan to watch it this week (via iTunes). Cannot wait to discover its charms. (I'm prepared to say this one WILL indeed pull me in. :D)
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you are going to love this one, Rissi! Get ready to be pulled right in... Enjoy!!! :D)
DeleteForgot to watch the first hour due to Olympics, but turned and watched second. Do you know if they will repeat it sometime? Or, was that my only shot at it? It looked good, but I wasn't sure who everyone was at first, since I missed the beginning.
ReplyDeleteYes, the Chesapeake Shores pilot premiere movie will repeat Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 11 am EST on the Hallmark Channel!
DeleteHope are you able to watch or record it then!
I was surprised Barbara Niven didn't show up until they practically rolled the credits. I think Cedar Cove fans thought they would like this, too, because of her (Peggy)! Not sure if the regular viewers Hallmark draws will be pulled in about a drama about 20 or early 30 something's. Sometimes the story seemed slow, but I will be watching next week with hope there will be more of Barbara Niven.
ReplyDeleteBarbara's role is introduced here, but don't worry we will definitely see much more of her as more dramas in the O'Brien family unfold in future episodes!!!
DeleteThe cast seemed fresh even though there were so many familiar faces and the setting was beyond beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI'll definitely be back next weekend on Hallmark. I hope they plan to keep it on the family friendly side and keep away from the adult entertainment side of it. Cedar Cove clearly couldn't, that's the reason for its drop in ratings and it's early demise, in my thinking. The talent pool on that one was over the top, but if people aren't watching, what's the point.
Yes, the cast does seem familiarly fresh! Love that!
DeleteCedar Cove was loved by many, until some story lines took a soap opera turn. Very unfortunate as it was a terrific cast!
I know many are hopeful Chesapeake Shores will be an ideal Hallmark fit!
Recorded it while the family watched Olympics. Plan to watch later! :) Thanks for the reminder, Net!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! Happy watching!!! :)
DeleteYes, I enjoyed it! Could Jesse Metcalfe be any cuter? I was definitely all the way pulled in. Great cast. The setting was gorgeous and I'm not just referring to Jesse! The story seemed to pick up more the end, so I'm intrigued to see what happens next! Lauren
ReplyDeleteLOVE LOVE LOVE!! DITTO to everything Lauren said:)
DeleteAwe, that is so sweet! Jesse is certainly a handsome guy and this series seems to be perfect for him. It's also another wonderful avenue for his singing, which I know many fans also loved in "A Country Wedding"! Hope we see/hear even more in Chesapeake Shores!!!
DeleteOf course I revowed it as well. Read the review on here too. If people were expecting more Barbara Niven then they were out of the loop concerning last night. Her role kicks in next week. I'm 42. My mom is almost 73 and my daughter is 13. There was something for everyone. This is not just for 20's or 30's. This is for all ages and focues on family. Love it!
ReplyDeleteWonderful to hear from you, Ruth! You have an amazing number of interviews with Hallmark actors, actresses, and writers on your site!

Chesapeake Shores certainly does span every generation with this cast, so I think they may broaden their viewing audience here! It's nice Hallmark gives our families so many wonderful movies to sit back and enjoy together! Glad you love it, too!!!
Hallmark programming skews older and adults are the main viewers so not surprised to see another adult drama. I don't think this will broaden their viewing audience beyond the usual 30+ crowd
DeleteI watched the show last night, and I loved it. The actors made the O'Brien family believable, loved seeing all the familiar faces that have been in other Hallmark productions. I enjoyed seeing Diane Ladd as Grandma. I will certainly continue to watch.
ReplyDeleteThey did seem like a real family! Glad to know you loved it, too, Jill! It's always nice to see familiar faces, especially the ones we like from other projects! :)
DeleteI also love that they film the show on Vancouver Island. A beautiful setting to play "Chesapeake Shores"
DeleteNet-It's a Wonderful Movie,
ReplyDeleteChristmas TV Schedule 2016. Not Christmas in July. Release September or October. Getting.. Ready!!!
Yes, Christmas is coming soon!!! ;)
DeleteI only saw the first 1/2 hour, but really enjoyed what I was watching - and really enjoyed the characters... Will they be airing it again before the next episode?
ReplyDeleteYes, it will re-air one more time! The Chesapeake Shores pilot premiere movie will repeat Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 11 am EST on the Hallmark Channel!
DeleteHope you can catch it then, Ann!!! :)
I watched it last night. I thought it was good. I like all the movies and original series on Hallmark and Hallmark Movies and Mysteries. I will be watching the series each Sunday night.
ReplyDeleteGreat to hear, Estra! Sounds like it was a hit amongst avid Hallmark movie watchers!!! We will all be watching together!!! :)
DeleteI missed it! Thankfully they are replaying the first episode! I've set my X-1 box to record this series. Thank You for the post on this series.
ReplyDeleteYes, thankfully Hallmark is repeating it Saturday morning for those who may have missed the premiere.
DeleteAnd, you are most welcome! Hope you like it!
I enjoyed it very much. I just hope they do not have so many plots that one will loose interest like Cedar Cove. Really like both lead characters. Thank you for asking. Peace and Love
ReplyDeleteGreat advice!!! I'm sure this will be compared to Cedar Cove throughout the first season, but hopefully it will break out of that mold and find it's own rhythm.
DeleteThank you for commenting... Blessings!!!
Personally, I liked the laid-back pace of the 2-hour premiere. It matched the beautiful setting and was a good backdrop for the main character's realizations about her professional/personal dilemmas. Looking forward, I like the potential future plot-lines with 3 sisters and 2 brothers, all who went different directions in life. I really liked the grandmother who gives each character love and support but also is willing to tell it as it is. Eagerly awaiting returning to the "Shores" each week.
ReplyDeleteI watched cheasapeake shores last evening. I was not disapointed. I can't wait to see thomas mick's brother. I have read the whole series of books. thank you for making this grandma happy.it was so touching. love it . thanks sherryl woods for writing and making it happen.
ReplyDeleteI like it
ReplyDeleteHey, Net, I too have been smitten by "Chesapeake Shores" and will be watching next week. After all, it's my "neck of the woods" and I love the family home setting and all of the cast members...quite a line-up!!
ReplyDeleteYes, yes! It definitely pulled me in. I really enjoyed it and will continue to watch.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed it and I am looking forward to watching upcoming episodes. I loved the cast and the scenery is absolutely beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLoved it!! I will definitely continue watching.
ReplyDeleteExcellent! Warm, funny and real. More please:)
ReplyDeleteIt bored me
ReplyDeleteWas it my imagination or was the second episode (August 21, 2016) cut short an hour? I had it recorded for the full show and the last hour of my recording was the Golden Girls.
ReplyDeleteWas it my imagination, or was the second episode cut short an hour Sunday, August 21, 2016? I had my DVR set to record the full two hours, but the second hour was Golden Girls.
ReplyDeleteYes, I noticed that, too, Aunt Dee, when I went to record it. I thought - Wait. What? 2 hours? I knew it was supposed to be only a 1 hour episode, but that threw me, as well.
DeleteI live on the Chesapeake Bay and we do not eat the stone crabs that the family had the first night. We eat blue crabs from the Chesapeake Bay. Stone crabs are from the west coast like California....Thank you for keeping us informed. Love hearing your comments.
ReplyDeleteMy husband & I have watched each episode of Chesapeake Shores and we love it. We're so sorry it won't be on very long. The actors are great and we're so glad we see familiar faces that we've seen on other Hallmark Movies. Thank you, Net, for all your time and effort you put in to keep us informed of all the wonderful programming that comes to us. May God bless you.
