Actress Ashley Williams Filming Hallmark *Fall Harvest* Movie "Seeds of Love"! *UPDATE BELOW*

Last year, Ashley Williams starred in the Hallmark Channel's *Fall Harvest* Movie "October Kiss". It was a very sweet family movie, a lighthearted romantic comedy set around Halloween!

This year - actress Ashley Williams will star in an all new original *Fall Harvest* Movie "Seeds of Love", October 1, 2016 on the Hallmark Channel, along with Trevor Donovan ("J.L. Family Ranch") and Marilu Henner ("Aurora Teagarden Mysteries")!

So, what is "Seeds of Love" about?

Hallmark shared this storyline in their press release...

"Aimie Roarke (Ashley Williams) is always up for a cause, whether it’s helping a local animal shelter or hosting a bake sale for the Fire Department. When the town’s beloved oak tree is set to be cut down, she takes it upon herself try and save it. When the Mayor hires Kyle Sorenson, a handsome new landscaper to cut it down, she decides the only way to save the tree is to chain herself to it. As Kyle attempts to out wait her, the two start to spend more time together, they find the old tree brings them both more than they could have imagined in life and love.

UPDATE: 'Seeds of Love' has a NEW TITLE! The new title is 'Love on a Limb'. See details at imdb. (Info provided by Rae in the comments below!)

Favorite Fall themed movies?

There aren't many fall-themed movies compared to Christmas, but I love that Hallmark is expanding this genre! I loved all of their new premieres under that theme last year... in fact, I thought "Harvest Moon", "Autumn Dreams", and "October Kiss", were all spectacular! So, I'm truly looking forward to seeing these new "Fall Harvest" themed premieres this year!

One of my all-time favorite fall-themed scene in a movie is the Halloween Trick-or-Treat Scene in the classic Judy Garland film "Meet Me in St. Louis". The children are so real, so innocent and child-like. It's a treasure, for sure!

What is your all-time favorite fall themed movie?

  1. I loved Hallmark's fall movies last year, too, and Seeds of Love sounds like it will fit right in this year!

  2. Looking forwarding to this one, Net. Whatever Ashley is in is always good.

The only fall movies I can think of without being Halloween, are Good Will Hunting and Autumn in New York. Both okay movies.

  3. There's an old classic Alfred Hitchcock movie called The Trouble with Harry. Have you seen it? It's funny and morbid, but it does take place in the fall.

  4. Hallmark has a Fall, pumpkin farm themed movie called Growing the Big One with Shannen Doherty that aired in 2010. Typical Hallmark movie but falls well within the fall theme.

My 2 favorite Fall-themed movies from Hallmark are "October Kiss" and "Harvest Moon."

Ashley Williams as Poppy stole the whole movie (October Kiss) -- she was so natural. I am positive that some of her dialogue was ad-libbed. It didn't even seem like she was reciting lines from a script for much of the time.

And I liked "Harvest Moon" because Jesse Hutch is always enjoyable to watch in these movies. He and Jessy Schram were cute together. Plus, I enjoyed her "fish out of water" arrival at the farm.

As for a feature film, I loved the scenery and settings in "Autumn in New York." It's kind of a tear-jerker love story for adults (not kid-friendly) and I don't know if I like the story so much as I like the gorgeous Fall settings. The movie starts out in Autumn, goes through Halloween and the Holiday season and ends in the Spring, but there are some glorious scenes of colorful trees and breezy, drizzly Fall days, and I can't get enough of those.

  10. I also loved "October Kiss" and adore Ashley's facial expressions and personality. "Christmas In The City" and the "Snow" movies she did are some of my favorites...so looking forward to "Seeds of Love"!!

Just thought I'd let ya know in case you're making your watch list for the fall like I am. Can't wait! :-)

    1. Thank you for that alternate title update, Rae! 'Love on a Limb' is certainly an interesting title for a Hallmark "Fall Harvest" movie. Wonder if this new title is officially written in stone?

Debbie Gibson's upcoming movie had 2 previous titles: 'Relevant' and 'Song of Summer', before finally being called 'Summer of Dreams'.

Almost all of the Summer movies, had "Summer" in the title, so I'm wondering if they will try to fit in some fall-related words. The other two titles, so far, are- 'Pumpkin Pie Wars' and 'Autumn in the Vineyard'. Both definitely give that sense of the fall season and grab your sweater, it's chilly weather!

Thank you, again, Rae... for this info! I'm looking forward to a new season of movies, too, and then Christmas is right around the corner!!! :)

    2. You're welcome, Net! Oh yes, I remember when Debbie's movie was called Song of Summer. Sometimes it's tough to keep up with all these title changes!

I love how they incorporate the themes though. Last years movies were a cute tie-in and I'm glad they are carrying it into this year. I need to dash on over and add the rest of the fall movies to my list. I'm definitely ready for the season between Pumpkin Spiced Lattes and crocheting again. Yay!
