  2. I have to admit this film felt....different to me, almost more like a Lifetime movie than a Hallmark one. Maybe it was the bigger focus on big city life and career that threw me. Did anyone else feel this one felt a little different for a Hallmark movie? Or is it just me?

    1. I so agree! It's a little different than the average Hallmark rom-com, but I still liked this one, a lot!

Definitely fun to see someone come from a small town and make their way into the big city. It's typically the other way around, but it's nice to see the city has it's charms, as well, including falling in love! :)

    3. Sure, I can give you a quick synopsis of how "Summer in the City" ends...

      SPOILER ALERT:

Taylor did quit her job and she left New York to go back home, but then she decides to come back to New York - after Alyssa (Vivica A. Fox) visits her small town and convinces her to return. Phillip, in the meantime, has quit his 9-5 day job to buy his own food truck. Taylor goes to his old job to meet him, but, of course, he's not there. As Taylor is walking down the sidewalk, Phillip pulls up in his food truck. She gets in, and they talk, and eventually they kiss at the stop-light, holding up traffic.

That's how it ends. Hope that helps! :)
