UPDATED with CHRISTMAS SCHEDULE! Hallmark's 'A Perfect Christmas' Poster Revealed + Christmas Keepsake News!

The Hallmark Channel has just released the poster for the new Original Christmas Movie 'A Perfect Christmas' which is premiering in July during their 'Christmas Keepsake' event!

Here's the Poster featuring Susie Abromeit and Dillon Casey...

I couldn't help from thinking how ironic this poster image is - since Susie Abromeit also starred in the Hallmark Channel Christmas Movie 'Snow Bride' and if you recall, instead of baking and creating her own gingerbread house, her character bought a hard display model from a local store. This is a cute "gesture" to all Hallmark movie fans!

See 'A Perfect Christmas' July 16 at 9pm/8c.
on the Hallmark Channel!

Can't you just smell that gingerbread?

I know we are all looking forward to Christmas in July!

Hope you all see movies you love!

  3. I can smell the gingerbread, Net, hope it's not laced in concrete!! LOL!! Let's hope Susie does a "Brennan Elliott" and looses her "bad girl" image she portrayed in "Snow Bride". Thanks for the Christmas schedule and the great looking banner!!

Net -- That happens to me all the time. I will check a specific website or social media repeatedly, over and over, and come up empty-handed for days on end. All of a sudden I don't check it for 2 hours and someone else happens to check it at exactly the right time to make a big discovery! I had repeatedly checked the Hallmark site for the Christmas Keepsake schedule, and there was nothing. Two hours later, someone else found it! Lol.

Anyway, just as an observation, noticeably absent from the 10-day schedule are popular movies such as "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year" (often named a favorite by many people) and "Snow Bride." The latter omission is particularly surprising since Hallmark is going to premiere the new Susie Abromeit movie, and you would think they'd want to remind viewers of where they'd seen her in the past ("Snow Bride"). Plus, they are showing "12 Gifts of Christmas" with Katrina Law, so I thought they'd include "Snow Bride" too.

Also missing are "Angel of Christmas," the Jonathan Scare movie that is coming to DVD, and "Charming Christmas." I thought that "Charming Christmas" might be shown because David Sutcliffe is in it, and he is starring in one of the new June Weddings movies.

My hunch is that both "Angel of Christmas" and "Charming Christmas" might move over to HMM later this year, in time for the holiday season. "Angel of Christmas' kind of has an HMM vibe to it.

But I wonder if "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year" is also moving to HMM in Nov-Dec. It is about 8 years old at this point, and Hallmark has shown it on HMM in the past (though not consistently, as it's usually on the main channel). Maybe they are gearing up to movie it there permanently.

Again I totally agree with you Sherry. If they move Angel of Christmas and others to HMM that's ok by me because they have the best movies on that channel anyway! I was disappointed they're not showing Angel of Christmas in July though.

  5. No Starry Christmas? 😢 My favorite! Will just have to wait until Countdown!

Oh, I didn't even look for "One Starry Christmas," but now that Witt mentioned it I see that it's missing too. It is quite possible that OSC could also be destined for the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Channel later this holiday season. OSC has a more serious kind of tone to it -- it doesn't feel like a romantic comedy -- so I can picture it going to HMM.

Same thing with "Charming Christmas" and "Angel of Christmas" -- they kind of feel a bit more serious and dramatic than funny or whimsical, so I can picture them going to HMM too. I like seeing David Sutcliffe and Jonathan Scarfe on the main Hallmark Channel, though, so I kind of wish those movies would stay there.

"Snow Bride" feels much more like a rom-com to me and should stay on the main Hallmark Channel. But the fact that it was left off of the July schedule -- even when Susie Abromeit is going to be in a new movie -- leads me to think that Hallmark may be moving it to HMM. Otherwise, it's too popular a movie to leave it off the schedule.

  7. Questionable to say the least! I understand that the Hallmark Channel wants to focus on the more recent movies, and the listing bears that out. Of the 31 different movies listed, you have A Perfect Christmas premiering, and then 15 are from 2015, 7 are from 2014, 4 are from 2013, 2 are from 2012, and 1 is from 2011...and A Boyfriend for Christmas is from 2004! (ABFC must be a real ratings winner!) So I can kind of see why The Most Wonderful Time of the Year (my fave!) is not included. But then, as pointed out, recent movies such as Snow Bride (2013), One Starry Christmas (2014), and Charming Christmas and Angel of Christmas from 2015 are missing. Sherry, maybe you are onto something with them wanting to leave off the ones that are more dramatic and less comedic, but I have to wonder if they actually analyze the movies that carefully, especially as you point out, Snow Bride is missing!
I also want to take a moment and thank you both Net and Sherry for the tremendous amount of work you do for this site and for your keen eyes and analyses!

      Mark --

Thank you so much for the kind words, and for including me in your comments. I enjoy Net's site so much -- and have for a long time, even before I started speaking up. Now I have realized that I can put to use my secret sleuthing skills and discover info on movies in the making, and it will be appreciated here on this site. I think I missed my calling -- I should have been a detective. Lol.

Your insightful breakdown of the Christmas Keepsake Schedule, and how the numbers show that it favors the newer movies, inspired me to do the same thing for the Gold Crown Christmas Week schedule on HMM.

The HMM schedule revolves around older films, of course, largely because not that many new Christmas movies air on HMM each year.

There are 35 movies on the schedule for HMM's Gold Crown Christmas week. Of those 35:

3 of the movies are from 2015.

4 of the movies are from 2014.

3 of the movies are from 2013.

2 of the movies are from 2012.

7 of the movies are from 2011.

6 of the movies are from 2010.

2 of the movies are from 2009.

2 of the movies are from 2008.

1 of the movies is from 2007.

1 of the movies is from 2006.

2 of the movies are from 2005.

1 of the movies is from 2003.

1 of the movies is from 1999.

So, while the main Hallmark Channel is definitely putting a focus on the newer movies, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries is more focused on the years 2010 and 2011!
