PLOT:
via savannahsunrisemovie.com: Straight-laced Joy Miles thinks she’s taking a simple road trip to move her free-spirited mother-in-law, Loraine, from Louisville to Savannah. Complete opposites, the two women manage to tolerate each other—barely. Joy is consumed with work, an impending deadline and a high-stakes project. Reluctantly, Loraine, now widowed, is taking the next step in life, moving to a retirement community, no longer a preacher’s wife, but a woman on her own. Her insights about life and family tend to get under Joy’s skin, especially since Loraine’s words make Joy take a hard look at her own whirlwind life, her priorities, and what is really important to her.
SSUN-Still073_Buick 4As the weekend unfolds, with its many adventures, hilarious encounters and heart-to-heart revelations, the women come to see each other through new, appreciative eyes. Mile after mile Joy’s true affections for Loraine start to surface. She takes a front-seat-view of how this strong-willed woman is managing the emotional transition of learning to live life after losing her spouse. And despite their many differences, with light-hearted escapades at every turn, they discover how much they respect, and even need, each other.

This was unexpected news, but good to see INSP is back into making movies. Could this be like Thelma & Louise?, but G rated, of course, since this is INSP.
ReplyDeleteJune is going to be a very busy month for new TV movies.
ReplyDeleteOhhhhh, I like the sound of this one....good movie plot!!!
ReplyDeleteThis looks cute + I recognize some of the cast from other movies!
ReplyDeleteI am happy to see INSP roll out this new movie in the middle of summer. Christmas in the Smokies was good last year, especially for their first effort at making original movies. Any chance you have any connections to know if they are planning another Christmas movie for this year? CJ
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment, CJ. I do have "connections" at INSP. They are extremely good to me and I love sharing their wholesome movies - because I know can always trust their content to be family friendly, and perhaps, also provide an inspiring message!
DeleteAs for a new original Christmas Movie on INSP this year... I am hopeful, but please know, I have not heard any news officially, whatsoever, of this happening... yet!!!
I think if this new movie Savannah Sunrise receives good ratings and feedback, then I think the chances of us seeing more original content on INSP is potentially even greater! :)
When I read the title for “Savannah Sunrise”, I thought it was going to be a sequel to the movie “Savannah Smiles” with the character of Savannah all grown up.
ReplyDeleteI love reading about all the movies that are coming out. I love this website.
ReplyDeleteIs this movie going to be shown again soon? Is it available on dvd?
ReplyDeleteNot sure about DVD, yet, but the movie Savannah Sunrise will repeat Sunday August 28, 2016 at 10pm (est) on INSP! Hope you can watch it or record it then!
DeleteThank you for commenting! :)
