When they are forced to spend more time together than they bargained for, they find out that they have more in common than they think.
“Wedding Bells” starring Danica McKellar will now debut the June Weddings programming stunt on Friday, June 3, 9 pm ET/PT, 8C.

Lol. What the heck? Lol.
ReplyDeleteNow I know that Hallmark changes things even after they have been publicized and announced, but it is happening way too often these days. Why does it keep happening? Why do they even bother announcing dates or titles for anything, only to change them later? It is making them seem very disorganized.
So, Ms. Matched was originally scheduled for Saturday, May 28th and now it's a week later? It IS a wedding-themed movie, so it makes sense, but why didn't they just schedule it for June to begin with?
And now Danica's movie is on a Friday? Crazy.
Did Hallmark just now realize that May 28th is part of Memorial Day weekend, and they figured that no one would be around to see a new movie?
Well, we're still getting 7 new movies in a row, but I am disappointed that we won't have a new one on May 28th.
Thanks for updating this program change. I wondered why Ms. Matched wasn't included with the other wedding movies and I'm very surprised to see one of the movies moved to Friday. Has they ever happened before?
ReplyDeleteNet may recall something that I am forgetting but, in the last year or two, to the best of my knowledge, the only times there have been new movie premieres on Fridays (on the main Hallmark Channel) were during Thanksgiving Week 2015 ("Crown for Christmas"), and during the Countdown to Valentine's Day of 2015 ("I Do, I Do, I Do"). There may have been a random Friday premiere somewhere in the last couple of years that I am forgetting, but those are the two that come to mind.
DeleteAlso, a few years back the movie "Pete's Christmas" (which I don't think was a movie made by or for Hallmark) kicked off the Countdown to Christmas on a Friday night.
So, needless to say, Friday night premieres are not common, either by original design or by sudden schedule changes. It's not even common to just have repeated movies on Friday nights, unless we are in the middle of the Countdown to Valentine's Day, the Countdown to Christmas, or Christmas Keepsake Week.
Yes, Sherry was correct in pointing out all of those rare occasions that Hallmark has premiered an original movie on a Friday night.
DeleteThe movie 'Pete's Christmas' was actually a part of Walden Media. In 2013, the Hallmark Channel made an agreement with Walden Family Theater to showcase their movies on Friday nights. I'm thinking Pete's Christmas may have been one of, if not 'the' last of those movies shown, under the Walden Media agreement. I always liked that movie, which stars the adorable Bailee Madison, but I know many did not. It's a silly Christmas Comedy, at times, but in the end I enjoyed it's meaningful message.
Anyway, the point is - Yes, Hallmark has had new movies premiere on Friday nights, but it has not been a common practice lately.
Yeah, this does make Hallmark once again look like they don't exactly have it all together. Obviously, they are juggling a ton of movies, but this one, Ms. Matched is a wedding movie so putting it in June would seem to be an obvious choice. Then again, they want Danica's movie to premiere first, so they decide to squeeze it in on a Friday. Pleeez!
ReplyDeleteListen, I love Hallmark, but could this be too much? It sure looks like an awful lot of movies premiering just for June when everyone is busy with summer life. Thanks Net, for keeping it all organized.
Just let me know the time and place and I'm there. I'll take a new Hallmark movie any day of the week!
ReplyDeleteMe, too!! Can't wait for all the June weddings!! Great way to "kick off" the summer!!
