  1. Why in the world would Hallmark stop Cedar Cove without even completing the story. I loved season 1 & 3. Season 2 not so much with everyone going downhill

  2. Is Hallmark going do a movie to complete the Cedar Cove series? I sure hope so as I was very disappointed that the series ended but have not seen any comments about it anywhere. I thought it was a popular program.

  4. Love the new banner, Net!! Looks like a comfy 50-58 degrees for us, here on the east coast, perfect for a two new "Winterfest" movies this weekend. Enjoy the snow, Net, and think "sleigh bells"!! LOL!!

  5. Yep, it's Saturday night and we're getting a nice snowfall here in the Midwest...and I'm loving it! Unfortunately, the Christmas decorations are now coming down. But the snow eases the pain!

Net -- I am 99% certain that you have all of this information by now, and are probably working on a giant new blog about it, with all of the details (because there are so many!), at this very moment.

Just on the very off chance that you don't have some of this new info, I thought I'd better post it.

At the TCA16 Winterfest event this past Friday, Hallmark revealed a plethora of info about upcoming projects this year.

Here is an article with the lion's share of info (too much for me to list here) -- http://www.multichannel.com/news/content/tca16-mariah-carey-jennifer-love-hewitt-direct-hallmark-films/396403.

Not mentioned in the above-linked article is the fact that Kellie Martin is going to be starring in a series of movies based on Nancy Grace's Hailey Dean series -- https://twitter.com/ChannelGuideKF/status/685689511284715521.

Also, as of February 21, supposedly there are going to be 30 consecutive weeks (weekends, I would think) of original programming, starting with "When Calls the Heart" -- https://twitter.com/hallmarkchannel/status/685686349073006592.

That means that from 2/21 until sometime in September, there should be at least one new, original series episode (including "Chesapeake Shores" and "Good Witch") OR new movie (or maybe both a series and a movie on some weekends) each week/weekend. That would include the new movies for June Weddings and Christmas in July/July Keepsake week.

What I am piecing together in my mind is that, shortly after the 30 consecutive weeks end, Fall Harvest will start, and then the Countdown to Christmas will kick in. So, really, between right now (Winterfest) and the end of this year and possibly into February 2017, there probably won't be more than a small handful of weekends without some sort of new movie or series installment. I don't see much down time happening with the original programming between now and December -- it's just that some weeks and weekend will only involve series, and others will only involve movies.

I think it is telling that Hallmark is going to move its original series to Sunday nights (except for during the Countdown to Christmas, of course), which trickled out several weeks ago, because that will free up Saturdays for more movies all year long.

    1. Yes! You are right, Sherry! I first saw all the wonderful pictures from the TCA event on Saturday! I put together a big blog post about it this morning - and submitted it to the site this afternoon. It looked like a nice event and it's fun to see all the new and upcoming future Hallmark projects. You are great at guessing what Hallmark plans to do next and I'm so glad to have you here!

Here's a link to the new blog post, here:

Thank you, Sherry, for making watching Hallmark movies so much fun!!!

  7. I thought Love's Complicated was terrible...there was no spark between those two. Murder She Baked was so much better.

    1. A case of different strokes for different folks, I guess! I thought "Love's Complicated" was really touching. I know several people who loved it. My dad even loved it, and he's usually super hard to please.

  8. I love the Murder She Baked movies but the last one (A Peach Cobbler Mystery) was driving me nuts because they changed her Bakery...I know it is something stupid but that is all I could think about as I watched the movie. But The movie and story line was really entertaining. Hallmark Movies & Mysteries has found some real winners with this series, Garage Sale Mysteries and continuing the story of Signed Sealed & Delivered (In my opinion was a better series than Cedar Cove). I look forward to more movies to come.
