Don't forget to add that Taylor Cole is in "Food for the Heart" with Marcus Rosner! She has posted on Twitter and I think Instagram with the #FoodForTheHeart hashtag and a Hallmark reference.

    1. Thank you Sherry for finding & sharing cast info! That's interesting to see Taylor Cole will be in the movie with Marcus Rosner, which has now been changed from "Food for the Heart" to "Appetite for Love". I do like the second name better for this one! And, by the way... I did add Taylor Cole's name above! Thank you, again, for sharing this news here!

I just commented on this in another post further down the page so I don't want to repeat myself, but I will only say again that I think that "Appetite for Love" is too similar to "Anything for Love." At a quick glance, the casual Hallmark fan or occasional viewer might think they are one and the same movie. So I am wondering if "Anything for Love" will change to something else.

Net! Lol. I just checked the Hallmark Countdown to Valentine's Day page again, and now it says "Dater's Handbook" in the January 30th premiere slot instead of "Love Lessons"! Lol. It said "Love Lessons" last night AND this morning.

So, that means that Hallmark went back to the first, original, title, right? Wasn't it "The Dater's Handbook" before it was "The Guide," and before it was "Love Lessons"?

They change things soooooo often at that channel! Lol.

    1. I caught it, too, and rushed back to change it, and there was your message! It is incredible how often they've changed this one! Not sure which title I like best? I'm thinking Love Lessons might have been better for audiences - due to everyone can relate to love, even those who have been married for years. Dater's Handbook seems like it would be most appealing to singles. But, it just might suit the story best and that's what matters most!

Thank you for catching that and sharing! :)

I'm not sure which title I like better either. "Love Lessons" sounds like a more Hallmark-esque title, whereas "Dater's Handbook" sounds more like a title of a feature film and not a TV movie.

I just noticed your revision and comment above -- "Food for the Heart" changing to "Appetite for Love." I had not seen that one yet, until I noticed your post (your site was my first stop, as soon as I got online today!!). I'm not sure which title I like better in that case either, but the problem I see is that "Appetite for Love" is too similar to "Anything for Love." I suspect that Hallmark will end up changing the "Anything for Love" title -- it may not stand out enough for casual viewers to realize that it's different than "Appetite for Love."

Hallmark's frequent title changes are curious. They may not want to change the titles but they have to, for some reason -- I'm not sure. But I wonder why they post any titles at all on their site if they are not finalized?

Remember the ever-changing names of Alicia Witt's last Hallmark movie? It went from "The Honesty Trip" to "The Truth About Christmas" to "I'm Not Ready for Christmas." I understand WHY Hallmark went with the last title -- because it is the name of Alicia's song, and that song was played in the movie. However, the title had nothing to do with anything that happened in the movie. "The Truth About Christmas" was the best title choice, given the storyline in the movie.

And out of the 3 titles for Candace Cameron-Bure's most recent Christmas movie, I can see why Hallmark didn't ultimately settle on "On Time for Christmas" -- it was simply too similar to the Hall of Fame movie title, "Just in Time for Christmas," and people would have been confused. But I wonder why they didn't stick with "A Christmas to Remember," which was the original title? "A Christmas Detour" is more specific, I suppose -- it hints at a plot point in the story, whereas "A Christmas to Remember" could really be able anything.

Net -- Have you noticed that, as of right this moment, Hallmark seems to be doing something 'different' with the Countdown to Valentine's Day this year? There will be 6 movies on weekend days (except for Feb. 7th, as that is when the Kitten Bowl takes place).

But it's the weekdays/weeknights that are the most different. Apparently there will be ONE movie airing every weeknight over the 2 weeks.

I don't know if you still have access to any of last year's press releases, schedules or Hallmark ads for the 2015 Countdown to Valentine's Day, but it was "all day and all night" for at least part of the 2 weeks. I vividly remember movies (more than one per night) on weekdays/nights.

So to cut back the schedule to only one movie each day/night and a limited schedule on the weekends (meaning the regular programming is still on the schedule on weekend mornings) is a significant change -- assuming the schedule stays that way. The way it looks now, they will actually be giving us a shorter schedule for the Countdown to Valentine's Day than they have been giving us for Christmas in July!

... Which now has me wondering about the Christmas in July event. Is that, too, going to be reduced to only one movie each day and 6 movies each weekend day? Or will it, perhaps, be extended to an all day/all night schedule?

This Countdown to Valentine's Day thing is disappointing, especially since there will probably be too many repeats of certain movies and then other movies will only be shown once -- or not at all -- over the 2 weeks.

I wonder why they would do this. It's got to either be a ratings issue, or they are caving in to the complaints, OR they need to devote a certain number of programming hours to other things this year (such as the Countdown to Christmas) and therefore they need to trim the hours for other things.

I keep hoping that more movies will be added to the weekdays, but according to a banner from Crown Media, they are advertising "A movie EVERY weeknight" and not "all day and all night" as they did last year.

The schedule for the first couple of weeks in February doesn't appear to be changing. It still looks as though there will be only one movie each weeknight at 8 p.m. during the 2 weeks of the Countdown to Valentine's Day, and that there will only be 6 movies on most of the weekend days (with the exception of 2/7, Kitten Bowl day).

Again, I must mention that this is a reduced schedule from the 2015 version of the Countdown to Valentine's Day. Last year there were more movies each day for at least one of the 2 weeks, and I *think" there may have been more than 6 movies on the weekend days. I know that the event was advertised as "all day/all night" in 2015, whereas now it is not advertised as such.

In glancing at the movies that ARE on the schedule, it seems that Hallmark is choosing to repeat some movies a few times in an already very limited schedule, while other movies seem to have been left off of the list altogether (even though they were shown in 2015).

And yet, the peculiar thing is that Hallmark is choosing to show some of the Fall Harvest movies now, AND during the Countdown to Valentine's Day! I don't understand that at all. Instead of showing some of the romance movies that appear to be left out, they are showing Fall Harvest movies. That makes no sense. They're not going to show the Valentine's Day movies in October, so why on earth are they showing "October Kiss," "Harvest Moon" and "Autumn Dreams" now?

At that rate, if they are going to show movies out of season, they might as well show some of the best "Christmas romance movies" for Valentine's Day. Why not throw in "Nine Lives of Christmas" or "Snow Bride"? Why not throw in "A Very Merry Mix-Up" to the Valentine's Day marathon?

I just really hope that this scaled back Countdown to Valentine's Day schedule is not a sign of things to come, and that Hallmark is not going to tamper with the Countdown to Christmas by reducing the line-up of movies, or cutting the event down from 'all day and all night' to 'one movie every night at 8 p.m.' I can put up with almost every programming change without too much agony, but if they mess with the Countdown to Christmas it is a whole different ballgame! Lol.
