PLOT:
Realizing she has a recurring habit of picking the wrong type of guy, Cassandra Barber (Meghan Markle) turns to relationship expert, Dr. Susie, and her latest self-help book, “The Dater’s Handbook” to help with her ailing love life. She follows the advice in Dr. Susie’s book to evaluate potential suitors, and then must ultimately choose between reliable George (Jonathan Scarfe) and fun-loving Robert (Kristoffer Polaha). It’s hard to change old habits and place your faith in the experts, especially when your heart tells you something different.

These valentine day flicks ALL sound darling! I'm especially excited that Meghan and Sarah Rafferty are starring in two because one of my favorite guilty pleasure shows is Suits. It'll be fun to see them in something far sweeter like these rom-coms! Thanks so much for sharing, Net. Cannot wait to - hopefully, watch some of them! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting how Hallmark has kind of latched on to both Jonathan Scarfe and Paul Greene all of a sudden. Each actor will have appeared in THREE movies apiece, in LESS than 12 months' time, by the end of this Countdown to Valentine's Day event. In fact, to get technical, Jonathan will have appeared in 3 movies for Hallmark within SIX MONTHS!!!! (Paul's first movie was "Perfect Match" from last June, and Jonathan's first movie was "Love on the Air" in September.)
ReplyDeleteEven some of Hallmark's most prolific actresses don't appear in 3 movies in under one year, let alone 3 movies in 5-6 months!! That is really astounding. Hallmark must feel very confident in Jonathan and Paul.
On a side note, it's fascinating how much Jonathan's look seems to change based on his hair being a couple of inches shorter! He looked like the same guy in "Love on the Air" and "Angel of Christmas" because the hair was more or less the same length. However, to me he looks so different in the promo photos for "Dater's Handbook" because his hair is a bit shorter!
I really liked this one. The chemistry between Kristoffer and Meghan was really good. I'd love to see them both in more Hallmark fare!
ReplyDeleteI just watched this again and I can't believe that I missed that George (Jonathan Scarfe) was same guy from Love on the Air and Angel of Christmas ( 2 of my favorite movies btw) He just looked so different that I thought he was familiar first time I watched but didn't put 2 and 2 together until when I watched it again.
ReplyDeleteSorry but I think he looked way better looking in the other two movies then this one....
I caught this on Saturday, too, and was thinking just about the same thing... how different he looks in this movie compared to his others. Plus, the character, as well as the button-up attitude are so different then we are used to. Usually, he portrays more of a free spirit.
