Halloween Movies on TV

Just wanted to post this message today to let you all know - I am aware that both the Hallmark Channel and ION will have Halloween themed movies this upcoming weekend. You can see a brief description of both movies below and my take on Halloween movies.

HALLMARK CHANNEL:

GOOD WITCH HALLOWEEN - October 24, 2015 at 9/8c.

Cast: Catherine Bell, Bailee Madison, James Denton, Catherine Disher, Rhys Matthew Bond, Gabrielle Miller

Production Company: Good Witch II Productions Inc, in association with Whizbang Films.

Storyline: Middleton’s charming ‘Good Witch’ Cassie Nightingale returns! As Middleton prepares to host its annual Halloween Fall Festival, Cassie is struggling to spark excitement among her daughter Grace and the rest of her family for their traditionally favorite haunted holiday. Meanwhile, Sam is in need of a spell to see eye to eye with his son Nick, while Abigail launches a sneaky campaign to become the next Festival Queen. And when the Grey House welcomes a spooky stranger with a troubled past, it will take Cassie’s signature intuition, and the teamwork of her whole family, to put a stop to a dangerous curse and ensure a happy Halloween for all of Middleton.

ION:

YOU CAST A SPELL ON ME – October 25, 2015 at 7/6c

Cast: Nikki Deloach, Ryan McPartlin, Briana Lane, Jonathan Patrick Moore, Harley Jane Kozak

Production Company: MPS Entertainment Group, acquired from MarVista Entertainment

Storyline: A man dressed as a fireman at a Halloween party is in fact a handsome warlock, and to his surprise his powers fail him once he smooches the mortal girl of his dreams, the formidable Sara. Did his powers transfer to her? In any event, he must woo her the old-fashioned way, with romance, while also unraveling a loveless engagement to a witch from his council.

My Take...

Please note: This is not a promotion or endorsement of these films. I have not previewed them, nor will I be watching them. To be honest, I am not one who ever watches Halloween type movies that include magical spells, good or bad witches, warlocks, or any evil type elements, but I wanted to make you all aware of the storylines of both of these films.

  1. Well, they might repeat these movies this coming weekend. Of course, they've got competition from SyFy's 31 Days of Halloween, ABC Family's "13 Nights of Halloween" and AMC's "FearFest." Why haven't they made a movie about the Tylenol Scare during Halloween 1982? Huh?
