This is the movie formerly known as "The Honesty Trip," with Alicia Witt, George Stults and Mia Bagley. I remember seeing one of George's photos, and it was a shot of a chair with the character name of "Holly" on it. Holly is the main character in "The Truth About Christmas." Truth... Honesty.... see the connection? Lol.

I am not sure if this movie was originally supposed to be a Lifetime movie (as the extra who posted on Reddit said last month), or if the information that the extra was given on the set was incorrect, but it is now a Hallmark movie.

    1. Oh my goodness... great job on this one, Sherry! I thought of you immediately when they announced Alicia Witt's name. At the time, I hadn't connected the two movie titles together... but now it totally makes sense! They renamed The Honesty Trip to The Truth about Christmas. I will add her name above, as well as George Stults and Mia Bagley!

Fantastic work! Now, I must ask... have we also discussed the movie Christmas Confessions. It's supposed to be a Hallmark movie. I believe I first saw this title on Twitter and I know two actresses in it: Jessica Harmon and Anna Van Hooft. Only problem now is... the title was not given - so I'm trying to figure out where this movie fits in? Was it re-titled something else? I had thought it might be the one above (The Truth about Christmas) but now with it starring Alicia and being previously titled The Honesty Trip - there is no way these two are connected. Is "Christmas Confessions" a Hallmark Christmas Movie, after all? Just thought I might ask to see if you or anyone else reading this comment had heard anything on it???

Again, excellent job on figuring this out, Sherry!

Net -- You're very welcome. And thank YOU for this great site! It's wonderful to have a place to go for the purposes of learning about new movies, run by someone who loves them so much.

To be honest, I am as mystified as you are about "Christmas Confessions." Lol. I only heard about it through you and your site. My guess is that it is one of the moves that was announced today -- but with a different title. Although... I can't really see how any of the other announced titles clue us in to "Confessions." Hmm...

The only choices it could be are: "Christmas Incorporated" (which makes no sense), "Merry Matrimony" (probably not), "Once Upon a Holiday" (maybe?), "Angel of Christmas" (maybe?), "12 Gifts of Christmas" (maybe?), "Christmas Land" (maybe?) or "On the Twelfth Day of Christmas."

Anna Van Hooft shared Hallmark's Countdown to Christmas post from today on her Facebook page, and she acknowledges that she is in one of the movies... but she doesn't say which one! Lol.

Some of the movies announced today were surprises -- which is great! I like that we knew about many of the movies beforehand, but there were still several surprises -- movies whose casts are mysteries. For example, which one is William Shatner in?

I was befuddled by the omission of the "When Calls the Heart" movie. I don't watch the show, but I know that all of the Hearties out there are going to be very upset if it doesn't air. I don't know why it would air on Movies & Mysteries, as the series is not on that channel, but Hallmark did not even mention it on their site in today's Countdown line-up.

And if there are only supposed to be 3 new movies on HMM now, we know for sure that 2 of them are: "Karen Kingsbury's The Bridge" and "Murder, She Baked: A Plum Pudding Mystery." So the 3rd one has to be either "The Christmas Note" or "The Magic Stocking."

I keep thinking that "The Ultimate Legacy" -- although it is not a holiday movie -- will end up on Movies & Mysteries. It fits the tone of that channel a bit better, I would think.

    1. Okay, I have some new info on Christmas Confessions... I asked the actress who is in it - Jessica Harmon and she said it is for Hallmark and to her knowledge the name hadn't been changed. Now, isn't that interesting? Great find on Anna Van Hooft. Could it be for HMM, after all?

I am also befuddled by WCTH not being included in the Christmas Movie list. It just doesn't make sense. Murder She Baked is an on-going series and I'm sure they will include that Christmas Movie in the HMM Christmas Movie list tomorrow.

As for the third HMM movie, I have heard The Christmas Note is currently filming. So, it sounds like it is a go!

I agree with "The Ultimate Legacy" ending up on Movies & Mysteries... it sounds like the perfect fit... plus the other two movies typically air on the network.

Thank you, Sherry... for sharing in the fun of this Christmas movie discovery!!!

  4. Hey Net, love the job you do! FYI -- The new title of the movie "I'm Not Ready for Christmas" also happens to be the title of a song Alicia Witt wrote and recorded a couple of years ago. Hope they play it -- it's a fun and bouncy song!
    Merry Mark

  5. Net --- Alicia has posted on Facebook (and probably elsewhere) a couple of times this week from Vancouver.

Lots and lots of things are filmed in Vancouver, for both TV and film, but... since this is probably right around the time frame when Hallmark might be shooting some new Countdown to Valentine's Day movies, or maybe some of those 'early January' new movies, I tend to wonder if that's what she is doing.

I just wanted to alert you, so you can keep an eye out for any clues! Again, whatever work she is doing in Vancouver could be for any TV show or any movie, but the timing of it makes me think it could be a TV movie.
