  1. Thanks for the round up of movies!

Can't believe after next week there won't be any more new ones from Hallmark! Time flies so fast.

    1. Thank you! Glad you liked the banner - I may have changed it up a bit more since you've commented. I feel very much like I'm in that same whirlwind Linda - trying to not miss anything and hold onto each precious moment with family - because that truly is the gift God has given us!

God bless and a very Happy, Merry Christmas to you & yours, as well!!! :)

  3. I still can't believe how truly awful the movie, "One Christmas Eve," starring Anne Heche was. One of the worst Christmas movies I have ever seen. I had high hopes for this as it was under the Hallmark Hall of Fame banner but it was absolutely nothing like past Hallmark Hall of Fame presentations. I will watch almost any Christmas movie, even the ones hat aren't that great and I could barely get through thirty minutes of this movie. What a huge disappointment. I'm not sure what Hallmark was thinking releasing this as a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie. Anyone else agree or disagree?

    1. Oh my, REALLY? Because my family absolutely loved it! We can't wait to see it every time it is replayed, too. So funny!!! It's great to have a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie that puts a smile on our faces!

  4. You missed the point. There were lessons to be learned. (1) No such thing as a "perfect" Christmas. (2) The truth, above all, brings peace. (3) Gifts of meaning, given, are the most perfect gifts. (4) Friends come in all sizes, ages, genders and ethnic back rounds. I laughed, cried and felt some fear. Please watch the movie again and see what you did miss.

    1. Thank you, Linda... I liked how you detailed the finer points in the film. As I was watching, I thought it was so fun to have absolutely no idea where the story might lead next!

Although it is rather hilarious, there is a deeper meaning, as you mentioned... there is no such thing as a "perfect" Christmas. I believe that is the very same lesson learned in Lampoons, as well.

Of course, the movie is unique, and we all have unique and differing opinions about every movie. So, whether anyone likes "One Christmas Eve" or not... there are certainly lots more movies to choose from and enjoy!

      Merry Christmas!!!

  5. Merry Ex-Mas was terrible! Perhaps the worst made-for-TV Christmas movie I've ever seen. ... Or almost seen, as I turned it off after making it less than halfway through. Dean Cain, star of so many actually GOOD Christmas movies, looked bloated and downright creepy here. And the weird "friend with benefits" actress and her giant plastic, ahem, assets, which were CONSTANTLY on display, were wildly inappropriate for what should have been a family Christmas movie. The premise had such promise and there were actual known actors in it too, but the execution was just abysmal!
