It's nice to see they will be including one of my favorite James Garner movies, The Thrill of it All, in the memorial tribute. I hope one of your favorites is included, too.
My prayers are with his dear family and friends. You can see my original tribute to James Garner, here.
It's nice to see this tribute for James Garner. I just realized I haven't seen many of his movies, but knew him mostly from his TV roles. He's very handsome in the picture you posted above in the white jacket and black bow tie. He always was.
ReplyDeleteYes, I agree. He was quite the handsome actor. A scene stealer. Hope you are able to watch some of Garner's movies today during the TCM tribute.
DeleteDo you know if there will be a tribute also on TVland, Me-TV, or somewhere else for his TV shows? I grew up as kid watching those and would like to see some of them again. My thoughts and prayers go to Jim's family too.
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of any other TV tributes, but it's likely they might do it on one of the stations you mentioned. I believe The Rockford Files airs weekdays on Me-TV at noon. It's nice you have fond memories of watching James Garner's TV series.
DeleteThanks so much for this recap! I'm going to head over to the DVR and start setting the recorder!!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, Tom. Looks like a nice movie marathon tribute for a wonderful actor.
