INSP remembers Actress Ann B. Davis, Alice of "The Brady Bunch", with a Special Marathon Tribute

Today, beginning at 5 PM et., INSP will have a Special Marathon honoring Ann B. Davis with six "Alice" episodes of The Brady Bunch.

Ann Bradford Davis was born on May 5, 1926.
She passed away on June 1, 2014.

INSP Tribute Message: "Oh, Alice! You Made us Laugh!

Alice goes to great lengths trying to keep the Brady household running smoothly, always with hilarious results. She is more than a maid. She’s a mentor, counselor, doctor, best friend, and more.

We were deeply saddened to learn of the sudden death of Ann B. Davis, the veteran comic actress who brought “Alice wisdom” into our lives with each episode of “The Brady Bunch.”

To honor her memory, we’re pleased to present special episodes of “The Brady Bunch” featuring the beloved actress. Laugh out loud. Alice would have it no other way."

Episodes honoring "Alice" Today - June 5, 2014:

*Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore - 5: 00 pm
Long-time Brady housekeeper Alice begins to feel like a third wheel in the Brady household now that there's a new Mrs. Brady to take care of family matters. The family cooks up a plot to let Alice know just how important she is.

*The Big Sprain - 5:30 pm
While Carol is out of town, Alice trips on a set of Chinese checkers and sprains her ankle, leaving Mike to manage the household. Feeling guilty about causing her to miss the Meat-Cutters Ball, the kids snap into action, tackling all the home chores the Brady kids' way.

*Alice's September Song - 6:00 pm
Alice is swept off her feet by an old flame named Mark Millard and Sam the butcher (her usual bowling date) smells a rat. With the help of Mr. Brady, he wins back his "favorite little lamb chop."

*Sergeant Emma - 6:30 pm
Alice's cousin Emma arrives at the Brady house to cover for Alice while she is on vacation. Emma throws the Brady kids for a loop and they quickly tire of her sergeant drills.  Mike and Carol find it hard to warm up to Emma's rough personality and all wish for Alice's early return.

*Goodbye, Alice, Hello - 7:00 pm
When the Brady kids believe Alice can no longer be trusted, she makes an excuse to leave, and hires her own replacement.  The kids soon learn that they desperately miss Alice and when they find Alice waitressing at a restaurant, they beg her to come back.

*The Elopement - 7:30 pm
When Marcia and Jan overhear Alice and Sam talk about eloping, they tell the rest of the family the good news.  The whole family plans a surprise wedding reception for the "bride-to-be." However, the Brady's may be getting ahead of Sam and Alice.

Please SHARE... Your favorite "Alice" or Brady Bunch episode in the comments below!

I personally love the Musical episodes where they sang "Together, Wherever We Go...", "It's Time to Change", etc...! Plus, I adored Alice with Sam, the Butcher, and when Alice falls in the dunking tank at the end of that episode where she had tried so hard to avoid it... well, I can't help from laughing every time. She was truly great!

Ann B. Davis gave us a wonderful family comedy and warm, happy memories to cherish forever... for generations and generations to come!

Our Prayers go out now to her dear family, friends, and her "Brady" family, too.

  7. I remember when I was a teenager, my family went to an amusement park in Cincinnati Ohio called Kings Island. The day we were there the Brady Bunch were filming for an episode. it was great. We didn't even know they were going to be there when we went. We saw the actual filming going on and then saw it later on TV. Alice was part of the filming.

The day that we were there the Brady Bunch were filming for an upcoming TV episode. We had no idea that they were going to be filming there when we went that day. It was a great surprise. We actually got to see them filming a scene and then saw it later on TV. Alice was part of the scene. Good old childhood memories.
