  2. Terrible acting. The chemistry between the two lead actors are do terrible and awkward. Haylie Duff gas agin a lot of weight. No easy on the eyes and terrible acting.

  3. Has to be one of the worst written, worst directed, worst acted movies I have ever seen...the whole movie was ill conceived! And why did they portray the father as gay? The whole thing was really pathetic...and that is being polite...

  4. I don't care if the father was gay or the actress wasn't stick thin, the movie itself was terrible. Not impressed and no redeeming qualities or moments. Chemistry was off and it was poorly put together. The thing that drove me crazy was that the background music played nearly the whole movie, "romantic moment" type piano type music... seriously the whole movie, even in scenes where it wasn't an appropriate background music and sometimes it seemed louder than the dialogue. I was really disappointed in this one. Skip it IMO

    1. Agree 100% about the music--it was awful! Totally distracted from whatever positive there was about a movie that plodded along & featured characters that were not even especially likeable in the first place.

  5. Aw, I actually liked it...a different take on Beauty & The Beast :) Yes, Haylie appears to have gained some weight, but she's still pretty I think.

  6. Apparently, I'm in the minority, but I enjoyed this holiday chick flick. I liked it for what it was- a simple, made-for-TV movie. I think it would be a great film for mothers to watch with their daughters whom may be tweens or teenagers since it contains fairy-tale touches.

As for the comments regarding Haylie Duff's weight, in my humble opinion, I think she looked healthy and beautiful.

  8. This is one of the worst movies I've seen. It was poorly written and the acting was bad. The writers must have been in high school because the plot was very immature, stupid, and predictable. Also, the music drove me crazy. I would not recommend this movie.

  9. This is one of the worst movies I've seen. It must have been written by a 15 year old because the plot was very immature and predictable. It was painful and embarrassing to watch. The music drove me nuts! The acting was bad and the main characters did not have chemistry. I would not recommend this movie.

  10. I liked it. It is an ion hallmark like movie. One of my favs of the season. If your expecting a Blockbuster, go spend a butt load and you still may be disappointed. I love my cheesy heart felt movies over that stuff when it comes to Christmas. I thought she did a decent job in this movie.

  11. I mostly enjoyed it. The dramatic change between the male lead in the first half and the second half needed a much smoother - longer? transition to be believable, and the last 20 minutes or so seemed sloppily written. I thought it was a fun concept overall. I do wish they wouldn't show so much cleavage on shows like this that are meant to be clean and uplifting.

  12. I enjoyed it BECAUSE it was so bad. Me and my sister now quote over some of the bad lines in the movie like "I'm going back to the house!". So... Yeah the movie sucked, but we bonded over how bad it was, so I would watch it again for the laughs.

  20. Why are people commenting on Haylie's weight, which has nothing to do with the quality of the movie? What a bunch of insecure, petty jerks who have no life but to bash people on comment sections. Haylie is beautiful and it's obvious they are jealous. I watched this with my mom and we had a great time. Give it a chance if you want a romantic, slighty-corny g rated Christmas flick.

  24. I love this movie. It was great and the music was great. It was not full of stupid nude scenes, f* * k words and trash. No blue walls or trashing plots. This was normal and sweet. The society we live in is warped and cannot appreciate a simple story about two people who fall in love. There is nothing about a gay story line in here. People read so much stuff into it. Who is gay here? So what if they are? It is kind of cute and funny and easy on the eyes because of the beautiful scenery, the quaint house and the country of wine and roses. People are jealous and petty who find this movie repulsive. They have been wallowing in self loathing all their lives and cannot appreciate a good love story. I hope people who have sad lives like this will be blessed some day with a better one.

  26. I LOVE this movie. Saw it last year and couldn't wait to see it again this year. It is a sweet, fairy tale romance. And Haylie and Nicholas are gorgeous together.

  27. What kind of society has this become? These movies are meant to be cheesy... it's what I look foward to every year. When all we see is death, crime and racism, what is wrong with a little love, unusual chemistry and fantasy. It's the holidays, a time for magic, mystery and wishes. As for the people who are degrading someone for gaining weight, it is a society's mind like yours that contributes so much to eating disorders. Speaking personally as someone who has been over 320lbs, then 110lbs, and happiest at 160lbs... everyone's ideal weight is not a size 2 and 105lbs. This isn't a one size fits all world and we are all made different, and I'm thankful for that everyday... enjoy the movie for what it is, entertainment, if you don't like it, change the channel!

  30. Glad to see I wasn't the only one having troubles to watch this. Lol it literally gave me chest pains. It was too predictable. I was trying very hard to end it, I am actually watching it right now. But I'll just stop the massacre. There are probably less bad movies waiting for me.

  32. I agree with others who say if you don't like it then don't watch it .
It's Christmas these type of movies are always on and meant to be light and cheery .
So why do most of you feel the need to rip it and the actors apart.
Nobody forced you to watch it

  35. i didn't think the movie was very good but what i did like is the cute dog and when the male lead was running or walking or anything with his shirt off..i thought Haylie did a pretty decent job on the acting for the lines she was given, i though Nick was pretty stilted but made up for it when he smiled with his great dimples...all and all it was about what i'd expect for a network Christmas movie.

  36. Saturday December 26, 2017 Christmas Belle was my favorite Ion Christmas movie so far.I especially liked Nicholas Gonzales as Hunter. I thought Hillary looked great!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Amazingly awful! The dramatic music was insane, the plot was ridiculous cringe worthy. I love a cheesy Christmas movie as much as the next, but this took it to a whole other level. At least 5 scenes of the dude running with his shirt off and while it did nothing to forward the plot, it was probably the best part of movie. Normal people don't fall on top of each other in such a way that they almost get it on while walking through their own personal tree farms with saws. The bad guy was a one dimensional nightmare and laughable. whole movie wad like a train wreck you can't turn away from.

  38. Loved the movie!! Haylie is drop-dead gorgeous and I am so sick of watching boney anorexics starring in movies. Nice to see a real woman casted finally!

  39. I actually enjoyed this movie. It’s a little over the top, but aren’t a lot of the movies that are in the theater, too? I thought it was sweet and had a happy ending, just what I’m looking for in Christmas movies. I even like the meant-to-be-funny lines like “I’m going back to the house!” at the end. It was meant to be humor, done on purpose. As for Haylie, I think she’s beautiful. Why do all actresses have to be stick thin. Most of America isn’t, and she’s still beautiful.
