  1. I think it`s great to see Andrew McCarthy in all these new movies lately. He is a great actor and I`ve loved him since the movie Mannequin came out.

  9. Andrew McCarthy is great! But something felt off about it for me the whole time and I realized what when I read the movie description: 'ambitious YOUNG financier.' McCarthy is 50 and I don't know anyone who would call 50 young...the premise would have felt realer with a younger actor (someone in their 30s). Since he was 50, I felt like he's already the hotshot/boss, not a young hopeful trying to make the right decisions.

    1. I couldn't agree more. This even occurred to me while watching the conversations with his mother who doesn't look old enough to be the mother of a 50 year old. Equally a 50 year old would not be still trying to establish his career.

    2. I like seeing older, more familiar faces on TV (actors we know and care about). Our culture and media are too youth oriented.

    3. I was 50 when I met my wife and she was 28. We have been together 24 years now, so the 50 years old age of Andrew didn't bother me. Also in the movie, Andrew states that it has taken him longer to make it than he expected.

  10. I see some other people want to know what the song is that they danced to. It is so beautiful and relaxing to just listen to. Please let us know the name of the song.

  11. The name of the song they dance to is Winter Waltz. It is available on iTunes by various artists, and there is one version that sounds close
To the tracks in the movie. They obviously created their own version for the movie.

    1. Canadian actress Mary Long (b. 1951) plays his mother. I was flipping channels and stopped on the scene with her in the restaurant with the rich guy's daughter and watched the rest of the movie.

    2. Loved her but thought to myself that she couldn't possibly be old enough to be his mom. They did the same thing with Angela Lansbury playing Elvis' mom in Blue Hawaii.

    1. Yes, the woman who portrayed Andrew McCarthy's (Jack) mother, Jessica, is actress Mary Long. She also starred recently in Hallmark Channel's "Christmas Next Door" and "Very, Very, Valentine." She is wonderful in this movie!
