I think it`s great to see Andrew McCarthy in all these new movies lately. He is a great actor and I`ve loved him since the movie Mannequin came out.
ReplyDeleteI wish Andrew and Teri Polo made another movie together!
ReplyDeleteMisty
So excited to see this movie on 12/8. Andrew McCarthy is a great actor and even finer human being...genuine through and through. And he still has the sweetest smile ever.
ReplyDeleteCan't Wait to see it for the 1st time tonight!(: im excited!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat is the name of the waltz that they dance to?
ReplyDeleteI just watched this yesterday and I'm wanting the answer too ! GREAT movie !!!!!!!!!
DeleteI wish I could find out what the name of the waltz was that Jack and Christine always danced to.
ReplyDeleteI too, want to know about the movie soundtrack. Original music was listed as being by Staci Hersh, but can not find out more.
ReplyDeleteCan anyone tell me the name of the song and the artist that played that wonderful song during the Waltzs?
ReplyDeleteThanks
It is called Waltz for Christine and can be obtained on ITunes.

Winter Waltz by Kitaro
DeleteAndrew McCarthy is great! But something felt off about it for me the whole time and I realized what when I read the movie description: 'ambitious YOUNG financier.' McCarthy is 50 and I don't know anyone who would call 50 young...the premise would have felt realer with a younger actor (someone in their 30s). Since he was 50, I felt like he's already the hotshot/boss, not a young hopeful trying to make the right decisions.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more. This even occurred to me while watching the conversations with his mother who doesn't look old enough to be the mother of a 50 year old. Equally a 50 year old would not be still trying to establish his career.
DeleteI like seeing older, more familiar faces on TV (actors we know and care about). Our culture and media are too youth oriented.
DeleteI was 50 when I met my wife and she was 28. We have been together 24 years now, so the 50 years old age of Andrew didn't bother me. Also in the movie, Andrew states that it has taken him longer to make it than he expected.
DeleteI see some other people want to know what the song is that they danced to. It is so beautiful and relaxing to just listen to. Please let us know the name of the song.
ReplyDeleteThe name of the song they dance to is Winter Waltz. It is available on iTunes by various artists, and there is one version that sounds close
ReplyDeleteTo the tracks in the movie. They obviously created their own version for the movie.
Amazon has three songs listed from this movie:
DeleteWaltz for Christine, Flashback Tango, and Demonstration Mambo.
Click here to listen to them or download them, if you like. Enjoy!
Who was the actress that played Jack Pressman's mother? BTW, great to see Andrew Stevens again.
ReplyDeleteCanadian actress Mary Long (b. 1951) plays his mother. I was flipping channels and stopped on the scene with her in the restaurant with the rich guy's daughter and watched the rest of the movie.
DeleteLoved her but thought to myself that she couldn't possibly be old enough to be his mom. They did the same thing with Angela Lansbury playing Elvis' mom in Blue Hawaii.
DeleteWhen will this movie come out on DVD
ReplyDeleteI too wish I could get this movie on DVD!! Any idea when?
DeleteAuthor and title of the waltz that is featured
ReplyDeleteI would like to know the name of the song/artist when they go to the club and dance..it almost sounds like lady gaga?
ReplyDeleteThere are 3 different beautiful songs available from this movie.
ReplyDeleteClick Here for Music from "Come Dance with Me".
They are all available to download on MP3.
Enjoy and Happy Dancing! and 1, 2, 3.... 1, 2, 3.....
Wow he is still cute and this was a very good movie. he looked good.
ReplyDeleteWhat is the actresses name that plays Andrews mother? Anyone know?
ReplyDeleteYes, the woman who portrayed Andrew McCarthy's (Jack) mother, Jessica, is actress Mary Long. She also starred recently in Hallmark Channel's "Christmas Next Door" and "Very, Very, Valentine." She is wonderful in this movie!
