Some Movie Fans are NOT Happy with the Trailer for A Christmas Story 2

It’s being reported online, that fans of the classic beloved movie, A Christmas Story, are upset over A Christmas Story 2, the official movie sequel to their beloved film. I know there are some who don't like this movie, and some people who enjoy this movie every year at Christmas time. And then, there are those fans who are absolutely crazy over it!

Through social media sites these fans are saying - the film is Horrible and other Terrible adjectives, just from viewing the Trailer.

Let me know what you think, or if you care!

Here's the Trailer :
(No Foul Language is spoken - however, it is implied)

Here's my thought on it... It's just a Movie. If you're interested - see it. If you're not - then skip it. Many are putting it down now, but give it a few years and it will probably be just as popular as the first.

I liked that the movie looked somewhat old-fashioned and the fact, that Ralphie and Randy look like a good match to the original actors. It's a movie filled with Slapstick Comedy - so what more can you expect. Of course, it's going to be a little cheesy.

A Christmas Story 2 will be released on DVD - October 30, 2012. It can be pre-ordered now. It is Rated PG.

For more movie details, see the A Christmas Story 2 page. You will also find my review there.

  1. I thought the trailer was cute. I agree, Ralphie and Randy look like good choices and it looks like the same kind of humor as the original film that I remember first seeing as a little kid when noone cared a bit about it and now it has this great following. You're probably right, this will probably be popular years from now, too.

Will it be the same as the first movie? Course not. Like you said, if you want to see it, then see it, and if you don't, then don't.

Thanks for letting us know about it.

  3. Even if You don't see this movie - Guess what? It still exists!

You truly can't stop everyone from seeing it or enjoying it. It might be a fun movie, even if it isn't the same as the first.

  4. Not the least bit interested in seeing this movie. Thanks for sharing the trailer, though.
My family loves the original and it's a tradition with us every year to turn it on and leave it on round the clock after we finish our Christmas Eve family time and then again after we open presents and have breakfast on Christmas Day.

  5. I have never liked sequels to movies, unless they contained the original actors, which is why I've never seen Home Alone 3 or 4. I loved all The Santa Clause movies because they contained the original actors. It's just not the same, in my opinion, when they make a sequel with all new people.

That being said, would I boycott this movie? No. I agree with what was said earlier; if you don't like it, don't see it.

  8. I watched the trailer and wonder why...are they calling this movie A Christmas Story 2? It looks like it could be a cute movie BUT what does it have to do with the original? It just doesn't seem to connect at all...It looks like an entirely different movie! What happens to writers that they feel they have to tamper with an original? Are they hard pressed for fresh new IDEAS? Get a new title, don't try to ride the popularity of what has become a cult classic...

  9. My bad! I watched the movie pre-view with billy Crystal and Bette Midler and thought that was the new A Christmas Story 2! Anyways, I did finally see the trailer and it wasn't bad...I like Daniel Stern and if anyone can make the movie work, he can...I will definitely give it a chance!

  12. i was really disapointed in the first movie when i saw it as a kid. so was the rest of my family. it was so disrespectful,i wish they had created a film that could really help people in understanding what christmas should be about. i was really sad when people thought of the first movie as a classic in the future. i cant think of one scene which made me feel warm or happy in the film. it's a shame that they have made another of these films, they could create something which really helps people. they have got better in them then a movie which implys swearing and has a leg lamp in it :(

  13. Really not interested in viewing this movie after what I just saw. It seems rather silly and not at all realistic. Thank you for giving me space to comment. Peace and Love
