Every Second Counts

MOVIE REVIEW

Every Second Counts:
Hallmark Channel cowboy style movie starring Stephen Collins (Rev. Eric Camden from 7th Heaven).

CAST:

Stephen Collins ... Joe
Barbara Williams ... Helen
Magda Apanowicz ... Brooke Preston
Brett Dier ... Caden

PLOT:

Synopsis from TitanTV

A teen (Magda Apanowicz) is torn between becoming a veterinarian and the dream her father (Stephen Collins) has for her: becoming a rodeo star. Her dilemma peaks when her dad puts the family's future on the line by betting on her riding skills.

Movie Review:

Okay... I love horse movies, so I am rather biased here. The movie was a bit slow moving, but sweet.

While one horse recovers from injury, there is another older horse who has a heart-attack during competition. The part where it was "put down" was not shown, but assumed. As a horse lover, I appreciated that.

Stephen Collin's Character, Joe (the father) was down on his luck... and desperately in need of a steady income... so loosing his job was not a high point in the movie. The daughter, Brooke, played by Magda Apanowicz, was excellent on horseback and is determined throughout the film, in spite of distractions from the cute boy at school, to help her family.

No language, inappropriate relations, or violence, (except for the horse's collapse) .... just a simple, sweet little family film. Young viewers would not be entertained, but tweens should be fine with this one.
