I'm going to miss his wit and talent and was so looking forward to see more of him in upcoming Hallmark movies. May God bless and bring comfort to his family and friends.Lindanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4945596937015597963.post-83378137646145428672016-12-15T08:44:50.086-05:002016-12-15T08:44:50.086-05:00Thank you for sharing this; I had not heard the sa...Thank you for sharing this; I had not heard the sad news. It's hard to believe how many people we all grew up watching or listening to have passed on in this one year.

I was completely stunned to learn of this news yesterday. Alan didn't seem sick. He didn't seem "old." He seemed like he was as vibrant and vital as ever, not to mention being quite prolific in television.

I had seen a couple of photos from the Christmas party that Rachel Boston and Alicia Witt attended together in Malibu -- just 3 short days ago -- but Rachel had not yet posted the photo with Alan Thicke (shown above) until last night, so I had no idea he was with them at the party. I was so surprised when she posted it. I can understand why she is so shaken by it now -- she had no idea that she was saying goodbye.

Alan and Jesse Hutch (who also posted some touching thoughts about Alan on his Instagram page) did another movie together in the summer called "Otherwise Engaged." They worked together a few times, but that was the most recent project. At the time it was filming I deduced that it was not a Hallmark movie, but I wondered if it would end up on ION, UP, PixL or some other network -- or possibly go straight to DVD. There is still no sense of where it's going, but I hope it's somewhere we can watch it.

I had been hoping Alan would end up in one of this year's new Christmas movies as a surprise cast member that we never 'caught' in the photos from production. But seeing that he has not made any surprise appearances in this year's new movies, nor has he appeared in any of the photos from the upcoming Winterfest and Countdown to Valentine's Day movies for Hallmark, sadly, I think that "Stop the Wedding" was the last new Hallmark movie Alan was able to make. He was always fun to watch, no matter which movie or TV show he was in.Sherry In Californianoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4945596937015597963.post-14643984392837283272016-12-14T12:18:12.685-05:002016-12-14T12:18:12.685-05:00Thank you for putting up the tribute, Net!
