πŸŽƒ PERFECT PICKS from the PATCH... πŸŽƒ PUMPKIN PIE WARS and MORE HALLMARK MOVIES - NEW on DVD for SEPTEMBER!!!

Pumpkin Pie Wars

HALLMARK DVD RELEASES
FOR SEPTEMBER INCLUDE:

September 11, 2018
At Home in Mitford

September 14, 2018
Hallmark Holiday DVD:
Winter’s Dream / The Perfect Catch / One Winter’s Weekend

September 18, 2018
The Courageous Heart of Irena Sendler
(Hallmark Hall of Fame, re-release)

September 25, 2018
Pumpkin Pie Wars

There are many good movies to choose from this month on DVD, like the powerful real life story of Irena Sendler (Anna Paquin), a Polish social worker who saved nearly 2500 Jewish children from being deported to death camps during World War II by placing them with Polish families and in convents. See her impactful story in the Hallmark Hall of Fame movie The Courageous Heart of Irena Sendler. (this is a DVD re-release.)

For those of you who are familiar with the Mitford book series (like myself), I know we were a bit disappointed by the movie, At Home in Mitford, based (loosely) on the Jan Karon novels-πŸ“–. The stories and physical characteristics were so different in the movie, then what we readers had ever anticipated, or imagined, for Father Tim and Cynthia. In contrast, the responses I received from those who had never read the books, was more positive. To my knowledge, Hallmark only aired this movie one time on TV, and I'm wondering if that was due to the mixed feedback received afterwards. Because of my great love for the books, I must say this movie was a miss for me personally. Was this movie a hit, or miss, for you?

Also available this month on DVD, are THREE fantastic Hallmark movies in ONE DVD collection featuring sports... "Winter’s Dream," "The Perfect Catch," and "One Winter’s Weekend." Skiing🎿 is THE Winter sport featured in "Winter's Dream," with Dean Cain and Kristy Swanson, while baseball⚾ is a hit in "The Perfect Catch," with Andrew W. Walker and Nikki DeLoach; and in "One Winter's Weekend" you'll find Taylor Cole and Jack Turner snowboardingπŸ‚ and possibly falling... not only on the slopes, but for one another! All these movies are truly delightful Hallmark rom-com family-friendly movies!

Pumpkin Pie Wars... πŸŽƒ is another great Hallmark romantic comedy... it's a "Fall Harvest" story featuring Casey (Julie Gonzalo) and Sam (Eric Aragon), who are set to carry on their families' bakery rivalry as they compete in the local pumpkin pie contest. The only problem is... these two competitors just may be "FALL"ing in LOVE! This feel good film would make a wonderful addition to any DVD collection! A true delicious treat... Pumpkin Pie Wars is THE Perfect Pick!

262ND HALLMARK HALL OF FAME
WORLD PREMIERE, NOVEMBER 2018

STUDIO CITY, CA – Monday, September 17, 2018 – Hallmark Channel announces a veteran, all-star cast for the Hallmark Hall of Fame presentation, “Christmas Everlasting,” based on New York Times bestselling author Marie Bostwick’s novel, The Second Sister.

Headlining “Christmas Everlasting” is Tatyana Ali (“Fly,” “The Young & The Restless”), Daytime Emmy® nominee Dondre T. Whitfield (“Queen Sugar,” “All My Children”), Golden Globe Awards® nominee Dennis Haysbert (“Reverie,” “Far From Heaven”), and Emmy® Award nominee and recording legend Patti LaBelle (“Patti LaBelle’s Place,” soundtrack “License to Kill”). “Christmas Everlasting,” now shooting in Atlanta, Georgia, will premiere Thanksgiving Weekend. “Christmas Everlasting” is the 262nd installment of the fabled Hallmark Hall of Fame, still the longest-running and most award-winning series on television.

In “Christmas Everlasting,” Christmas is fast approaching and years of long workdays employed at New York’s top corporate law firm are about to pay off now that Lucy Toomey (Ali) will be made partner after the New Year. However, when her older sister with special needs, Alice, passes away unexpectedly, Lucy returns to Nilson's Bay, WI, to attend her sister’s funeral and settle her estate. Lucy is not happy about returning to her small, close-knit hometown, where she is reminded of choices she made in the past. Once back in Nilson’s Bay, Lucy meets Peter (Whitfield), her old high school sweetheart and Alice’s former attorney, who informs her of the terms of Alice’s eccentric will which states that for Lucy to inherit the family home, she must live there for 30 days, which means being home for Christmas for the first time in a decade. Lucy begins her “sentence” believing she will be counting the days until she can leave; but soon, opportunities for relationships with Alice’s friends arise and Lucy is overwhelmed by the town’s adoration of her older sister. Grief and isolation will be moved to a back burner as the second sister is propelled toward a future filled with love and hope.

“Christmas Everlasting” is a Team Two Entertainment Production. Beth Miller is Executive Producer. Dustin Rikert is Producer. Ron Oliver is Director. The teleplay is written by Maria Nation and Marcy Holland and is based on the bestselling novel by Marie Bostwick.

While I give this update on what's new this weekend on TV, I'm also watching the news and seeing the devastation of Hurricane Florence. My heart certainly goes out to all who are affected by this storm, while I pray for everyone's safety. May everyone in it's path, seek and find shelter.

Please take care everyone. You're in my prayers.

There is a precious video of children in North Carolina  singing the song, "Eye of the Storm". I hope it blesses you...

For those of us who will be able to watch the new movie/shows this weekend... may we enjoy this hour or two with our families and count our blessings, Net
