  1. Net, I can't even imagine how Hallmark is going to make this right with the "Hearties". I think I'll wait for "your take" on this subject. You have a way of softening the blow to acceptance.

    1. From reports I'm hearing, Erin Krakow will be the one to deliver this news... so I'm sure it will be delivered with great sensitivity and gentleness, as I know how close Erin is to Lori and her deep love for all Hearties.

Bless you! We'll know soon! Net

  2. Yes, I noticed yesterday morning that my DVR had automatically scheduled that 3-minute WCTH BTS segment to record later today. I figured it must have to include some statement about the show's return.

    1. Anna... Oh, I hope WCTH will be back soon for all of us. I know this is going to be a tough issue to explain to children... especially since it's difficult, sometimes, for us adults to understand why, as well.

Whatever decision is made, I hope WCTH can move forward, but I know it's not going to be easy - for the creators, cast, and viewers.

Blessings to you & your girls! Net

  5. Good news, Hearties: Although we're still in the dark about the official When Calls the Heart season six return date, we have finally heard from Erin Krakow following the news of Lori Loughlin's alleged involvement in the massive college admissions scam. Erin shared a new image to both Twitter and Instagram, which marks her first posts since Hallmark announced their decision to cut ties with her co-star.

After a long period of inactivity, Erin graced Hearties' feeds with a close-up photo of a delicate pink flower. While seemingly innocent, the caption has fans wondering whether the social media snippet relates to Lori. "'You are always there for me,'" she wrote. "'And I always will be.'" She completed the message with a heart emoji.

There's no telling whether this actually signifies Erin's support for her former cast mate, but she isn't the first WCTH star to speak out during this tumultuous time. Pascale Hutton, who plays Rosemary LeVeaux-Coulter, shared a message to Instagram last month, directed toward the period drama's loyal fanbase. "Thank you #hearties for your support and love and mostly your PATIENCE," she captioned the image. "I promise we will be back on the air and in your homes soon."

Paul Greene, the actor behind Dr. Carson Shepherd, also shared a tweet that could be linked to Lori, as well. "Love you all thanks for the. Amazing Love and support through this tough spot," he wrote. "Remember!!!! Love and tenderness Win."

But, back to the show itself, the future of Lori's WCTH character, Abigail Stanton, remains up in the air. The ongoing pause is intended to give Hallmark time to rework the upcoming episodes, but there's no word on whether the network plans to cut Abigail's character completely or simply find a replacement.

One thing's for sure, though—an outpouring of positive messages on Erin's ambiguous social media posts proved that Hearties aren't going anywhere. Hopefully the latter half of season six will be well worth the wait.

  6. At around 11 AM PST tomorrow, WCTH viewers who DVR the show based on Janette Oke’s book of the same name will see a special message pop up on their TVs, I’ve learned. That announcement from series lead Erin Krakow will reveal when the revamped WCTH will be back for the rest of its sixth season.

After “creative solutions” have been put in place for the pink slipped Loughlin’s Abigail Station character and new edits finished, the show is expected back sometime in the next month, I hear.

Though Hallmark stressed repeatedly that Heart wasn’t cancelled, new and completed episodes of the show have not returned to the channel since as producers figured out how to rework the already filmed episodes and deal with Loughlin’s character – who is oddly is still to be seen on the show’s social media feeds.
Coming off a cable topping and undoubtedly WCTH fueled first quarter, Hallmark Channel had no comment on the show’s return when contacted by Deadline today.

In recent days, however, it does seems a solution of sorts had been reached as WCTH EP Brian Bird tweeted out on March 29 that a return date had been set. The EP also told a fan that “you’ll just have to wait along with the rest of the #Hearties until we’re ready to announce it.”

Just under two weeks ago, Bird added:

When Spring brings hope, #Hearties. What Hope Valley looked like at the crack of dawn today. Thanks for your continuing patience and never lose heart. Keep watching and waiting for news of the return of Season 6 of @WCTH_TV on @hallmarkchannel and @SCHeartHome pic.twitter.com/BmiL7iZmWI

The once Abigail Station won’t be back for more When Calls the Heart, clearly Hallmark Channel is – sooner, rather than later.
