Before Easter ~ let's Celebrate a little Christmas on Hallmark this Week with...

๐ŸŽ„It's Christmas Thursdays๐ŸŽ„
on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries

Storyline via Hallmark: Freelance photographer Sam grew up spending summers at her family’s vacation home on Cape Cod, where she and Mike, a local boy, became inseparable friends. The untimely death of Sam’s mother brought those summers to an end for Sam, who couldn’t bear the thought of returning. Thirteen years later, they meet again when she returns to Cape Cod for her father’s Christmas Eve wedding. Their feelings for one another are still strong but their stars may not align: Sam is close to landing a staff position at a Boston newspaper and Mike is on track for a new job in London.

Storyline via Hallmark: As Christmas approaches; a New York event planner is sent to a small town to organize a holiday festival. When she arrives, she finds a high-profile billionaire — who lacks holiday spirit — in the process of selling the charming estate she hoped to use as a venue. Before long, the unlikely pair begins falling for each other. But when complications arise, the couple parts ways and the billionaire moves forward with his plans to sell the estate. On the night before Christmas, the young event planner wishes for a Christmas miracle to save the estate and rekindle her holiday romance.

With Christmas movies airing twice a week - every week - on the Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, it's truly a wonderful feeling - and something I know many of us look forward each week to seeing! And, this week... it's a nice time to re-watch (or see for the first time!) two movies that premiered in 2018!

"Christmas at Pemberley Manor" was the FIRST All NEW Original Christmas Movie to premiere for the 2018 Christmas season in October on the Hallmark Channel AND "Christmas Bells are Ringing" was actually the very LAST All NEW Original Christmas Movie to premiere in December for the 2018 Christmas season on Hallmark Movies & Movies!

Therefore, since "Christmas at Pemberley Manor" was the first, there was a lot more opportunities for viewers to catch an encore airing of this movie during the Christmas season! I found both films to be family friendly and very enjoyable in their own ways.

In "Christmas at Pemberley Manor," it was very nice to see a sweet, simple holiday story, and I loved hearing Jessica Lowndes ("Yes, I Do") sing. Plus, it was cute how they used the Jane Austen Pride & Prejudice theme. In "Christmas Bells are Ringing," I liked the dramatic, intensity of the story and watching Emilie Ullerup ("Chesapeake Shores") find her true passion - and possibly love too!

Wishing You All the Joy of Christmas!
Happy (almost) Easter, too!
(By the way, my Easter post is coming - so stay tuned!)

Beginning with 'Love Takes Flight,' the movies will be transitioning on the Hallmark Channel to a 9pm/8c. start time! With the days getting longer and brighter - it's probably a whole lot easier for people to come indoors as it gets dark and watch at that time, especially for those in the central time zone where the premieres begin an hour earlier!

I agree with those who commented under the Love Takes Flight press release - here! I, too, wish the time could remain the same all year, but I know it works best for summertime - to have the movies premiere later. Please share your thoughts in comments below!

Also, for even more previews of 'Countdown to Summer' movies, be sure to watch Jen Lilley and Chris McNally host the preview special this Saturday night at 10pm/9c., following the premiere of 'Easter Under Wraps!'

I'm most excited this weekend to see the all new movie premiere - "Bottled with Love!" There is such great anticipation with this movie for many of us - since we love Andrew Walker and Bethany Joy Lenz - and we already know how great they are together! (Their Lifetime Christmas movie "Snowed Inn Christmas" was a fan favorite in 2017!)

Plus, as I mentioned above, Hallmark is marketing this film, "Bottled with Love," as THE ONE to see This Year! On top of all of this, the story itself sounds uniquely interesting, charming, and enchanting... centering around a message in a bottle that
initiates these two "potentially" falling in love!

Time Change for Hallmark Hall of Fame movie "Love Takes Flight"

Instead of the usual Hallmark Saturday night movie time, this all new Hallmark Hall of Fame movie, "Love Takes Flight," will premiere at 9p.m. ET/PT /8C. See all the details in Hallmark's latest press release below...

Hallmark Press Release:

STUDIO CITY, CA – Monday, March 11, 2019 – Hallmark Channel announces the 263rd installment of the revered Hallmark Hall of Fame, “Love Takes Flight,” starring Nikki DeLoach (“Reunited At Christmas,” “Truly, Madly, Sweetly”) and Jeff Hephner (“Chicago Fire,” “Chicago Med”) will have its World Premiere on the network, Saturday, April 27 (9 p.m. ET/PT, 8C). Hallmark Hall of Fame, first broadcast in December 1951, is still the longest-running and most award-winning series in the history of television.

In “Love Takes Flight,” Dr. Lizzie Beauman (DeLoach) is a single mother and hospital administrator determined to attract enough world-class doctors and treatment options to make her hospital successful enough to build a wing for patients’ families to be able to stay together while healing. Lizzie’s five-year old daughter, Quinn, suffers from an insulin disorder and Lizzie knows the demands on working families who have a sick loved one to care for. Lizzie has spent years doing her best construction building walls around her own expectations: no fun and no spontaneity here as the best-lived lives are created through discipline and order. But all that changes when new EMS pilot Charley Allen (Hephner) comes into Lizzie and Quinn’s lives. Charley challenges the constrictions Lizzie places on herself, especially, her fear of flying. And Charley learns something from Lizzie about the patience it takes to nurture relationships, especially between Charley and his dad whose relationship has been strained since his mom passed away. The day comes when Charley and Lizzie must come together as a team, each performing at the highest skill level to save a transplant patient. In the process, Lizzie and Charley may be able to heal themselves and their loved ones.

“Love Takes Flight” is written by Eric Brooks. The film is directed by Steven R. Monroe. Executive Producers are Stan Spry and Eric Woods. Co-Executive Producer and UPM is Anthony Fankhauser. Lesley Demetriades produces for Seabound Productions LLC.

Once again, I hope you enjoy both of the Christmas movies airing this week! I've seen "A Christmas Detour" many, many, many times and I still love it as much as I did the first time! Candace Cameron Bure and Paul Greene are such a wonderful match together... I would love to see them together again in another Hallmark movie - some day! Do you love it - as much as I do?

As for "Northern Lights of Christmas," I've personally only watched this movie one time, so I'm definitely looking forward to re-watching it again. Ashley Williams is always so fun to watch, and this sweet little love story about aviation - soared high!

I also want to say... congratulations once again to "When Calls the Heart: The Greatest Christmas Blessing" for winning Hallmark's Merry Madness bracket. It took me by surprise, but I love this family series so much... and after all the sad news recently, I was delighted to see this victory! Wednesday, April 10, 2019

It was revealed today in a 3 minute segment on the Hallmark Channel - that "When Calls the Heart" will be returning to our TV screens on Sunday night, beginning May 5th. There will also be a special showing the next night, on Monday May 6th! That's two episodes - two nights in a row!

Erin Krakow, dressed in bright sunshiny yellow, delivered the news with great enthusiasm - of when we can see the rest of the WCTH season still ahead. We know this has not been an easy time for any of the cast; however, it was good to see Erin's optimism in sharing this news with us.

By the way, Erin will also be back during the premiere of "Bottled with Love" - this Saturday night - to give us even more "When Calls the Heart" news!

Please note: There was still no mention of what will happen with Lori Loughlin's character, Abigail Stanton, in Erin's message to fans.

UPDATE: EW is reporting: "The remaining season 6 installments have been re-edited in such a manner that removes any appearances by Loughlin, a source close to the show tells EW.

Removing Loughlin from the majority of the season required some highly creative editing, as well as some minor reshoots. As a result, one fewer episode will be offered in season 6, which means viewers will receive six episodes instead of seven."

From the various responses I have seen on social media, the Hearties have been most supportive during this hiatus time as decisions were made - as to how to move forward with the show.

I know many of us wish, with all of our hearts, things could be different, but since they are not, let us press on now by praying the best for everyone involved as "When Calls the Heart" moves forward with the continuation of Season 6 on the Hallmark Channel!

The schedule on Hallmark Channel's web-site shows a 3 minute behind the scenes clip will air Wednesday, April 10th, immediately following the second airing of Home & Family.

Here's the exact time when to watch:

There is all sorts of buzz on social media of what this news is and what might possibly be revealed - regarding the return of "When Calls the Heart" Season 6! Even WCTH cast members appear to be puzzled of what this news/behind-the-scenes clip may be. I have my own suspicions, but I guess we will all have to tune in on Wednesday to see!

Congratulations to "When Calls the Heart: The Greatest Christmas Blessing" for winning Hallmark's Merry Madness Bracket!

“Love Takes Flight” is the 263rd episode of Hallmark Hall of Fame, still the longest-running and most award-winning series in the history of television.

In “Love Takes Flight,” Dr. Lizzie Beauman (DeLoach) is a single mother and hospital administrator tasked with assembling and creating the kind of world class hospital that attracts cases from all over the world. A former OB/GYN, Lizzie left medicine for administration when her five-year-old daughter, Quinn (Skylar Olivia Flanagan, “Every Other Holiday”) developed an insulin disorder. While building facilities is difficult, Lizzie’s best construction work consists of the walls she builds around herself. For Lizzie, spontaneity creates chaos, and she prefers order.
