Can't keep this Under Wraps... IT'S CHRISTMAS IN FEBRUARY - FRIDAYS ON THE HALLMARK CHANNEL!

I recall when Hallmark Channel's library of films wasn't nearly as large as it is now, and we would often have Christmas movie love stories in February, but as Hallmark's list of movies grew, the Christmas movies were fewer and fewer throughout the rest of the year. However, we are receiving a treat this February! According to the schedule currently on the Hallmark Channel web-site, there will be a classic Christmas movie airing every Friday night in February - with movies from Candace Cameron Bure, Lori Loughlin, Lacey Chabert, etc...!

And, what better time for Hallmark to appeal to the heart of it's viewership, then February, which is Nielsen Ratings "Sweeps" Month. Analyst will be looking closely at the totals of viewership this upcoming month, not only how many people are watching, but the demographics of those viewers, based on a number things, including age and location. I'm also hearing that Nielsen has expanded their marketing analysis to cover more months during the year, instead of focusing solely on the four months of May, November, February and July. However, February sweeps has always been such an important event, I'm certain TV networks are still vying to be #1 during this time period. That's why, I'm sure, the Super Bowl always lands in February.

Now, on to the important details, which is: the Christmas movies you can expect to see on the Hallmark Channel in February... (Please note: "The Nine Lives of Christmas" is still airing in February, but now on a different date/time. See below.)

  4. I think Hallmark/Crown Media should look into the feasbility of having a Christmas movie channel. Their Christmas movie catalog is big enough.

    1. I love this idea, I will add that I hope it could be a Christmas channel that plays older Christmas movies that they don't play any longer and, during Christmas, they could turn this channel into playing non Christmas so people don't miss out on those. I so badly miss some of the older Christmas movies that they used to play back when I joined Hallmark in 2014, they didn't have as many Christmas so they played movies like Meet The Santas, The Three gifts, A Boyfriend for Christmas, A Christmas Wedding Tail, Once and Twice Upon a Christmas. I know they do play these, but they are not on as often and seem to only be on in the middle of the night or middle of the day.

    2. The Hallmark Christmas Channel idea has been floated around quite a lot each year. Some think viewers would eventually lose interest if the Holiday movies are available all year round, and I'm sure that would be the case for those who aren't big Christmas movie fans, in general, except for at Christmastime.

With the Hallmark streaming service available now, a Christmas Channel is probably less of a probability of happening, as I'm sure they would prefer for viewers to pay for the classics. Unfortunately, so.

Personally, I would be thrilled if they ever did do a Christmas channel. BUT, we probably shouldn't get our hopes up to high.

    3. I'm with you, Sabrina! I miss so many of the older (and in my humble opinion, often better) Christmas movies. I'm afraid if they ever did offer a Christmas channel, given the limited amount of viewership, it would be costly.

    1. Yes, that is a lovely article on Candace! I thought her latest Christmas movie, "A Shoe Addict's Christmas," was one of her very best movies, yet!

  6. I love having Christmas sprinkled in throughout the year. I do have many on my dvr and watch them all thru the year, but I love when it is special like this and everyone can share in it. There is usually 1 or 2 or a handful of movies that turned a person onto the Hallmark channel and becoming a Hallmarkie, so maybe one of these great movies will be that for someone :)

    1. Love that, Sabrina! Bring on the sprinkle of Hallmark movies all year round! If they do them intermediately, than I think viewers would still look forward to them in July & at Christmastime! There's definitely enough to go around! :)

  8. I love "Christmas Under Wraps" Net! That was one of my favorite Christmas shows this last year and watched it a dozen times it seems hahaha. I liked all the characters and friendliness of the people in a small hometown. It really is a good movie. I'll keep my eye out for it. Thanks. These Hallmark holiday shows are something else, love them.

    1. This is amazing, Jill... I so agree! If they do the Merry Madness event again in March, then we should have a Christmas movie, or two, or more, at least, in April! If the ratings are good on these Christmas movies, than who knows, they may do more in March! I hope so, too!!! :)
