  1. Is A Fairytale Christmas a sequel to Christmas Belle

    1. Actually, that is the same movie - with a different title. UP has acquired rights to 5 films, which previously premiered on the ION Network. The new title does make it somewhat confusing for viewers who know the film from it's previous name.

  2. Do you know which Hallmark Movies will be released in November?

      So far we know:

      My Christmas Love

      Murder, She Baked: Complete Collection

I suspect there will be many more to come! I'm always updating the my two DVD lists...

  3. Nice to see Sarah Lancaster in another Christmas offering. I think that’s the one I’ll be looking forward to the most, and then the Chandler family movie.

  4. So, let me get this straight. UP acquired some of Ion's movies. Lifetime also acquired some of Ion's movies (a different set of them). Hallmark has included at least a couple of Ion's Christmas movies on their streaming service.

Has Ion just given up? lol Are they even bothering to premiere new movies this year? If so many of their older movies are going to different networks, what reason is there to even watch Ion unless they have a lot of new movies? We can see all of their movies in other places.

Also, UP is airing the Insp movie (or vice versa). FreeForm now has "Angels Sing," so that probably means Hallmark has stopped showing it (it was never a Hallmark original to begin with). AMC has some movies and specials that used to air on FreeForm.

So many things are just getting passed around between channels!

    1. It's typical for networks to "share" Holiday movies back and forth. They sell the rights to others and work out various legal agreements. I've been in touch with my contact at ION, and they will be releasing their own information regarding Christmas! Stay tuned! :)

    2. I thought angels sing was a hallmark movie, it aired during Christmas in July 2014.

    3. It is great to see Sarah Lancaster in another Christmas movie. She used to do quite a few for Hallmark. I am looking forward to this one the most.

    4. Sabrina, "Angels Sing" was an acquired movie for Hallmark, not one of their originals. I guess their rights for the movie have ended, and yes, Freeform has picked it up. It will air November 6th/7th. See schedule here!

    5. Joe, I agree... it is so good to see Sarah Lancaster in another Christmas movie! She was wonderful in Hallmark's "'Tis the Season for Love" and INSP's "Christmas in the Smokies!"

This is definitely one of my top picks too - for UP! :)

  5. Yay! Thanks for the breakdown of the new movies! Although, I really don't know how I am going to watch all these movies! LOL I thought the Holly Lane one would be for Hallmark, because who starred in it.

  10. Oh, and I noticed they are showing them at 7 PM ET. Smart move!

    1. Yes, it is very smart, especially if they want to appeal to families with little ones who have to get to bed early!

Or... they can get people hooked on their movie first, before the other network's premiere their new films at 8 or 9!

UP has done the 7 o'clock premiere time in the past, so it must be working great for them! :)

    1. Hello Carol! So happy to hear how much you are looking forward to all the Christmas movies too!

UPtv is actually a separate channel from Hallmark. They are not related, except UP does play many good family movies, from time to time, on their station.

To find out if your cable provider has this channel, visit the Find UPtv on TV page.

      Hope this helps! Blessings, Net
